** DCU has 3 keepers in ? Odd with Hamid and Willis. Not sure why they have Markovic in either as he was cut by SKC, a team that has zero depth at LB (which is his spot). Nane ... meh

** COL Smith is essentially a waiver pick up as they didin't use the club option and he went undrafted in the re-entry. Probably just getting him to a lower deal.

** MON Crepeu is one of their academy products so it's good that they're already inviting guys to camp.

** SEA That list pretty much sums things up. They're good but not deep and with Montero gone things should start falling in place.

** VAN I simply don't understand their pining for 1000 FWDs. Is this the Detroit WR situation or what ?

It's a pretty huge group of non-roster invitees. It's only going to get bigger after the supplemental draft too, and supposedly Cordell Cato is going to be there but wasn't there yesterday.

Still not worse than NYRB at this point. At least you know who the guy in charge will be. To add to that : LOL NYRB http://www.bigapplesoccer.com/teams/redbulls2.php?article_id=32696 .... REJECTED

Frank Songo'o might be out of Portland due to contract issues. That would suck horribly (though GoGo would like it).

Reports that Daigo Kobayashi is signing with Vancouver.

PHILLY TRIALISTS:
Tunde Ogunbiyi - G (last teams: Ocean City - PDL, Boston College)
Charles Renken - M (Portland)
Nicolas Medina - M [ARGENTINA]

^ Medina is apparently one of those guys that didn't catch on for whatever reason. Controversy around him with Sunderland in early 2000's, even got a NT cap in '04. Only 30 still.

Ok, something fishy with the LaBrocca stuff. He was "released" by CHVUSA but earlier had been traded to COL for Eric Avila. However, both players are out of contract at the moment. WTF

http://www.mlssoccer.com/news/article/2013/01/23/concacaf-names-13-us-cities-2013-gold-cup-hosts

Gold Cup hosts announced ... 5 MLS stadiums (JELD-WEN Field, Houston's BBVA Compass Stadium, Salt Lake's Rio Tinto Stadium, New York's Red Bull Arena, and Seattle's CenturyLink Field)

No SKC ? wow ... I know they hosted in 2011, but it's one of the best atmosphere's in the country right now. I'm really surprised they didn't go with it.

No SKC ? wow ...

Why should they give a fuck? They're going to get World Cup qualifiers.

They want to become THE HOME for USMNT, that's why.

Kei to Norwich ? Interesting ....

^ official announcement and details on the MLS reserves and USLPRO ... great news.

Oy vay, bigapplesoccer is reporting that Paul Lambert is one of the three men remaining in consideration for the NYRB HC position. Ruben Bover Izquierdo is apparently on trial with them.

I joked before, but now I really feel that Vancouver is looking to field a 0-0-11 formation this year. They just signed Paulo Jr, Tom Heinemann, and Corey Hertzog .....
