The draw was a fair result in the end, neither team really did enough to deserve the victory.

To use an old cliché, It was a game of two halves...United dominating the first, with Spurs only really coming into it in the second. Nice to see both teams really going for it, each with three strikers on the field at 1-1 until Defoe was taken off.

Just unfortunate that neither team did enough to win it, with the points dropped doing us no favours.

Not really, I'd say Jol would have taken a point at the start of the game and would have little reason to be disappointed with today's result.

Taking off Lennon for Keane was justifiable given Spurs were already a goal down, but taking off Defoe for Mendes towards the end of the game shows that the manager would be perfectly happy with the draw.

We were robbed. That was a blatant dive by Rooney...

The 5 live commentary made it sound like we were outclassed in the first half but we actually still had the best of the possesion looking at it. Admittedly Ronaldo and Shea missed sitters but again a dodgy refereeing decision at Old Trafford leaves us with a draw :shifty:

Irony then I formulated the analysis after watching the full 90. Quite contrasting from my original instincts at the final whistle. LEts face it though Pyo'd going to ground after minimal contact got nothing. Rooneys going to the ground with NO contact got a free kick. Perhaps if you'd watched the match you'd have realised how lucky Smith was on the field. Perhaps if Davids had been a diving Englishman he woul;d've been done a lot earler.

Typical United fan, eh?

Game worth a draw perhaps yes but still you're goal shouldn't have come and as a result Spurs were robbed. A clean game draw, fair do. Dodgy refereeing decision to goal. Robbery. That's the fact of the matter. Yeah you were worth a draw (or did I forget to mention those two sitters you missed? No it appears not) but the fact remains your goal was a bent decision.

And Stalteri remaining on the pitch after at least three or four bookable offences isn't 'dodgy refereeing'?

What about Lee Young-Pyo getting away with constant diving in the box, each of which attempt was much worse than Rooney's?

The refereeing done neither team any favours whatever way you look at it. Hell, the 'foul' that led to Jenas' free-kick wasn't even a foul in the first place. The fact of the matter is that in football, things even themselves out, the draw was a fair result...No robbery.

Staltieri like Smith should probably have had an early bath and him not going was the one concession we received. As for Pyo, there was one dive in the box after minimal contact with Rooney there was NO contact. How about the ball hitting Ferdinands hand deflecting a Defoe shot on goal? How about the numerous fouls which left everyone incuding United players in disbelief at the lack of a freekick? There were so many "odd" decisions you would have thought Styles was refereeing a Chelsea match.

Perhaps things do even themselves out, but at Old Trafford you know how even those things will be. Not incredibly. Would have been interesting to see what would have happened if a "did it cross the line" incident this year wouldn't it?

I fail to see why you keep referring to Smith as if he should have been sent off. Perhaps Davids is a better diver than I thought, as he seems to have you convinced. Like I've already said, both Smith and Rooney were booked mainly on they're namesake as far worse tackles went on unpunished.

And the 'deflected Defoe shot' you were thinking of? Try again, it was actually Mido and it wasn't so much Ferdinand's 'hand', more his elbow as he turned away from the ball thus removing any intent. Nice to see, you've only picked out the one occasion when Pyo's dived in the box, maybe the radio only mentioned the one. Either that or none of his numerous dives featured prominently on Match Of The Day's Highlights.

For a person who claims to have watched the full 90-minutes, you seemed to have missed an awful lot, nonetheless I've come to the conclusion it'd be safer arguing with a brick-wall than going any further with you. Whether you've watched the match or not is irrelevant, either way you're either lying or just plain stupid.

My God, you're a cock.

How about you take off those Spurs tinted glasses and actually form a neutral response for a change? Anybody else in the world that watched the match would've agreed that a draw was a fair result.

Did you? No.

Apparently 'Spurs were robbed'.

Fuck off.

For god sake, shut up. You're the one being a cock.

To be quite honest im happy with the draw and i think if we was at home then we wouldve got the whole 3 points because there was MINIMAL contact on Rooney although he took 3 steps after and was running perfectly fine then decided to fall over , Pyo i thought got as much contact as Dawson did with Rooney but hell if your at Old Trafford what would you expect ?

Arsenal next up and NO EDGAR DAVIDS !
