4. Final Fantasy VII (PS1/PC)

With true originality, Square brought its top franchise into the 32-bit world with amazement. Final Fantasy VII offers up an amazing tale with true senses of laughter, sadness, and shock. Its drama seems film-like and is more majestic than anything else in gaming. FF fans are still waiting for its sequel in film, Advent Children, coming next year. Until then, they'll have this great reminder.

3. Super Mario Bros. 3 (NES/GBA)

As the last (and best) truly great NES game, Super Mario Bros. 3 was the swansong for the NES. It also became the biggest selling game of all time, a mark it had until Final Fantasy VIII toppled it in 99. With its actual emphasis on worlds and their true differences, SMB3 rested on keeping the same gameplay system from SMB while adding new features to make the game better. Many fans craved its classicness so much that Nintendo released its awesome SMB collaboration package, Super Mario All-Stars on the SNES. It also was re-released in 2003 on the GBA, long overdue for a great title such as this.

2. Grand Theft Auto: Vice City (PS2/PC)

As a near perfect tribute to one of the best films to ever be released (Scarface) with one of the biggest film badasses voicing the hero/villain Tommy Vercetti (Ray Liotaa) and a killer 80s soundtrack, GTA: Vice City puts GTA3 in the 80s with great graphics and grace and finally gives GTA fans an amazing game. With all the extra options and free spirit from GTA3, the game also adds some of the best voice acting EVER in a game (Burt Reynolds, people!). With another awesome installment in the GTA series now behind Rockstar, this fall's San Andreas looks to add even more in the GTA universe and while it will be great, it won't have Burt Reynolds and Ray Liotta.

But no Smash TV makes me want to use a number of your small intestines as my washing line

Goldeneye at number 1 is a joke. It wasn't even the best/most popular game out at that time (FFVII), let alone better than others on that list. You can swing over to gamefaqs and see how much more active areas for FFVII are than for Goldeneye. All of you who voted for it should have your gaming systems unplugged and be beaten with them. That is all.
