The January 2013 Transfer Window Thread

Kieron Dyer should just retire. Honestly. He's averaged SEVEN appearances per season for the last SIX seasons (3, 8, 11, 12, 1, 7).

If he gets signed by any professional team then that club is too stupid for words.

I don't think his body would survive the flight. Brilliant timing though, its like a punishment for keeping them in the cup.

Edit: to Australia, stupid new EWB and its tiny posts per page count.

I imagine part of the reason that Loic Remy is more readily available than last summer is that his form hasn't been all that impressive so far this season.

Whereas in 10/11 and 11/12 he did ~20 goals in ~40 games two seasons in a row, he's currently on 2 in 12.

Talk of Liverpool signing Kevin Strootman from PSV for 22m

Seems a pretty high price when considering before Christmas it seemed the budget wasn't that big and it was likely 2 (Sturridge and Ince) in and one loan.

Although that said Chelsea apparently still owed Liverpool past transfer fees so the budget could be bigger. I'm almost thinking that they went for Sturridge and want Ince because they clubs involved would in theory give good deals on the transfers (since one is a buy-back and the other club owed money).
