It's more that you're downloading everything that was included in previous updates as well.

Buuuuut, they adjusted the swing mechanism. Basically, before the update, the game would assume you were trying to hit 100% every time. Now, you only get 100% if you swing perfectly. People have complained, but I've played 3 or 4 rounds since, and my swing must be ok because I'm still getting 100% around 95% of the time, and when I don't, it's because I know I made a mistake. Give it a go.

I think now, there's the possibility of getting a variety of swing percentages, whereas before, it seemed 95 or 100. I honestly think you'll get used to it. Can be frustrating but feels more realistic. Nobody can swing full power accurately EVERY time, even the pro's.

Am I right to assume that the way to judge how far the shot CAN go is to use the Scout Camera which shows you where 100 percent would go in perfect conditions, then adjust for wind?

Turns out I should've started with the Great Tottington Golf Club because in my second round I ended with a 82 (+10).

I love this! A round goes by decently fast. I just wish now that the league stuff was cross platform.

How did seeing power with on the harder settings? Is it based on how fast I push forward?

They added a matchplay option a few months ago I think.

Definitely. I actually got on and played last night for the first time in months. I'm considering taking off the Thursday and Friday of that week to watch, so our times should match up nicely.

Sorry, I've been sleeping. Hit me up some time this weekend though. I've share-played it with a friend a few times over the past couple weeks so I'm back to playing this semi-regularly.

@Meacon, I've been playing The Ratel at Widow's Cross (Thursday pins). It's the PGA course for this weeks TGCTours event and it looks like it'd be a perfect match play course. There are mistakes to be made of every tee, tough to hit fairways and putts are difficult if you don't land in a favourable place. We should give this a crack soon.

We definitely should. I signed up for the last two TGC tournaments and didn't get in a single round. I've had an unexpectedly busy past few weeks.

I think I need a new controller before I play this again, think the stick is too loose to drive properly on a consistent basis.

I bought the 20th anniversary grey controller a few months back and since playing this again, have had no real problems but worn sticks can cause errand shots. 

It'd be good to get some semi-regular rounds in with the pair of you.
