  1. By having Dream Theater , Jam's List > Jook's List
  2. Alot of people seem to be mentioning Hendrix, which leads me to this post. Hendrix was and still is, a guitar legend. The man brought the guitar to new levels and changed how we view the instrument today...And how? By copying other people. Don't get me wrong, I'm a huge Hendrix fan but setting the guitar on fire and all the other Hendrix trademarks were done long before he existed. Hendrix was a standout because he came about in a state where people found themselves searching for an alternative...An Extremist. At his time, he was arguably the greatest Guitarist alive, but by today's standards Hendrix just wouldn’t compare. There is music out there that Hendrix could not have touched upon and he was limited in that way. Perhaps the true pioneer of Guitar, Hendrix may be a legend but far from the Greatest Guitarist Ever in my opinion...
  3. ...That set is huge and it's not even his biggest. Lars Ulrich sucks! Why is it that everyone bows down to him like he's the greatest thing since sliced bread!? Lars isn't even the best drummer in the band for crying out loud...
  4. Terry Bozzio...hands down. And as if you need any further persuasion, his drum-kit would probably fill my house. Mike Portnoy of Dream Theater would come in second place for me, just a personal favourite of mine. Also, I'd keep an eye open on Jeremy Colson. He played a G3 gig for Steve Vai and he really rocked. Cool guy, young and tons of potential.
  5. ...On a side note, Why is Mike Chioda the only referee in the game? How are we ever gonna re-inact the screwjob without Earl?
  6. Steve Vai is, in my opinion at least, the greatest Guitarist of all time. Technically he can play like no other and put on a show like no other as not just a musician but an entertainer. Second on my list would have to go to Joe Satriani, a great player who revolutionised the art of modern guitar playing. Hell, put it this way…If it wasn’t for Satriani there would be no Kirk Hammet, there would be no Vai. Eddie Van Halen is another standout, another legend of the guitar so-to-speak. Not a personal favourite of mine, but frankly there’s no denying the man can play…practically invented finger tapping. …Oh and Kirk Hammet is the most overrated guitarist of all time. Any above-average guitarist would tell you that. Without his wah-wah pedal his contract wouldn’t be worth the paper it were written on. Not one member of Metallica is uniquely talented (bar Rob Trujillo), but nonetheless they work well together. Whoever gave Kirk an award for outstanding guitarist needs shot…plain and simple. Prince, Petrucci and Hendrix are all great guitarists that have made a life out of experimentation. Tom Morello is an excellent guitarist because he experiments and creates some great music in the process. Malmsteen doesn’t quite do it for me…I mean, technically he is sound but his music is just too repetitive. That, added to the fact that he’s a total dickwad takes a lot away from him.
  7. The Bookies are always wrong, up until like three weeks ago they had Michelle pegged to win it...
  8. ....The Libertines on EWB's Top 100 Band List? *Hangs Head In Shame*
  9. Me and my friend had an Epic of a match on Smackdown: Just Bring It, which at the time may I mention was the greatest game ever. Anyway, I was Triple H and he was Stone Cold and I swear we must have fought for twenty minutes since no-one could get a finisher in without it being reversed. In the end, my mate finally hit another Stunner...and by Stunner, we're talking big-ass Stone Cold Stunner here! Anyway, I looked to be out for the count as he approached me all the while boasting that hbe had the match won...However, rather than pressing Down + O (which is a pin) he pressed something like Left + O which only made Stone Cold lift me up. So with me standing they're groggy, he runs at me with a clothesline...I duck under, PEDIGREE~! Three count and an end to a +20 Minute Match...
  10. Kill Bill Volume One: 8.5/10 Must.See.Volume.Two.
  11. As much as I'd love to see Venom, didn't Spiderman 2 kind of leave it open that the next Villian would be Harry Osbourne/Green Goblin?
  12. Rui Costa would be a great signing but for whatever reason I could'nt see it happening. vs. Celtic, tonight 1AM...Damn inappropiate Match Times. ¬_¬
  13. Frank Zappa, he and his band worked as a training ground for some of today's premier musicians that would all make it into my top ten list...
  14. Thats a shame about Butt, He wasen't a bad player. Still, he's easily replaced and is probably alot better off at Newcastle anyway. Oh, and IIRC Smith's number the other night was 14. As far as I seen he played a good match but it was the others around him that let him down up front, Bellion to be specific. He did miss the first penalty though...
  15. Bah, We lost 4-2 last night on penalties...Stupid Germans only playing one game~!
  16. :ohwell: Every band/artist mentioned as of yet has been pure shite...
  17. Out Of Time - 7/10 Spiderman 2 - 7.5/10 School Of Rock - 7.5/10 ...All pretty much evenly matched.
  18. Theoritically speaking, wouldn't Postman Pat be retired by 2010?
  19. I got XIII with it for an extra fiver out of Woolworths and both are great games. Splinter Cell could be slightly longer though and I would'nt mind trying out the online multi-player...
