Yeah. I don't really care for either iteration of "On The Wing". I love "The Saltwater Room" though. I'd perhaps actually prefer the newer version. It's bit leaner.

I've listened to both the new Andrew Jackson Jihad album and the Owl City album. Both are decent enough, probably around 7/10 for the pair of them. After hearing the first six tracks of Owl City I felt like it could be one of my favourite albums of the year but the remainder tails of quite drastically.

I hate how I never find out about these things. That is like the supergroup to end all supergroups. Although Conor Oberst and M. Ward on their own would be absolutely fantastic. But Jim James AND Mike Mogis is brilliant stuff. Better than the Dead Shitty Weather. >_>

Yeah I loved the flashbacks as well. The only ones they showed were when Dumbledore meets him and the orphanage and Slughorn's memory.

We needed a thread for this. Anyway I saw this film the other night and it was really good. I feel that although the Harry Potter films started out fairly average they've improved with each subsequent release. Obviously its a bit of a disappointment that they leave so much out the book but that always has to happen and I think they left in all the most significant parts. Although perhaps my favourite bits of the book are the mundanities that stand absolutely no chance of getting into the films. One thing I didn't get was the blowing up of the Weasley house about half way through though. That was just bizarre.

Florence and the Machine was pretty dire. I hadn't heard anything by her before listening to the album but I'm glad I turned down the chance to see her live.

I heard about Peep-peeps, and went out of my way to suss it out: I walked in, and it all went silent, like the wild west....I asked to see the 'hardest man in Aberdeen', and this pissed loser piped up: 'I'm the Man!': needless to say, I kicked the shit out of him, and blood was spurting all over the bar. The locals shut the fuck up-----they were outclassed , and they knew it. I returned only once, and had a brilliant 6-hour session----free of charge on the house.; great memories.
