  1. Most definitely. How dare Andy Murray win? I don't mind the frequent temper tantrums at all. It's just the winning I can't stand!
  2. No. He's a knob. edit: that being said, he's perhaps not as bad as he used to be. And I do hope he wins today. He's on track so far. further edit: and he has won.
  3. MURRAY IS SCOTTISH DAMMIT. NOT BRITISH. >_> He's a knob actually. You can take him. When he turns shit.
  4. I am laughing almost as much at Frederic Kanouté being in 17th place.
  5. Are they fuck. It's music for people that don't suddenly decide to hate a good solid band with three good albums(fourth album was mediocre) behind them purely because they had a number one single. It's the people that were introduced to them through "Sex on Fire" that do that sort of thing. It's not the band's fault at all. I do concede that they are somewhat unremarkable and hardly the mostly original band out there. However, Faith No More are hardly the most exciting band out there either.
  6. GTFO. I agree with Dan. :@
  7. Actually scratch that. The Navasink Banks just came on shuffle there which I haven't listened to in months. He knows how to do good acoustic songs.
  8. Ah journeyman games are the ones where I load as many as possible. Had an epic journeyman game where I ended up at Sevilla after a number of seasons at Queen's Park, Forfar, Northampton and Tottenham. After winning the Championship playoffs with Tottenham Vitoria Setubal were impressed with me and after getting them into Champions League I went to Sevilla. It was an awesome game. And also, I only used the countries I usually load so all the other leagues were a bit pointless.
  9. On occasion I might do a game with every league but I've never got much further than two years so I do that very rarely. Mostly I just run Scotland, England, Italy, Spain, France and Germany with a large database.
  10. Oh well you could get Arjen Robben's friend from the opposite wing back. Damien Duff!
  11. haha. It only took me three and a half years to come up with something decent to put in my sig. Who knows what I'll do by the end of 2012?

  12. She has bad music too. Although I quite liked that song they played in River Island when I worked there. You know the one I mean...>_>
  13. Yes. It is pretty good actually. Although the only reason it's at the top is because this has been a relatively rubbish year for music altogether from my point of view. Hence Camera Obscura which I dislike still managing to get onto my top 20. And Fantasies isn't even my favourite Metric album.

    Staind - So Far Away

I assumed that on the basis of their name. Just forget the thing I told you about me never knocking a band without listening to them. >_>
  15. They should get Frank Ribery to replace him. Ribery's hardly a blockbuster star but he's a very good player and Man Utd still have a very good squad. What I think they really need, assuming they get Ribery or some other winger to directly plug in Ronaldo's position, is a prolific striker and a Roy Keane hardman. Although given I don't like Man Utd I hope they fill these two gaps in the team by signing another Luis Saha and another Eric Djemba-Djemba.
  16. Real life Man Utd got £80 million. They're better than you. >_>
  17. Why do Man Utd apparently want to keep Tevez so much? Sure, he's a hard worker, but he doesn't really produce a great deal of results.
  18. I find it quite amusing that my Rangers supporting next door neighbour genuinely believes that Man Utd will want to replace Ronaldo with Kris Boyd.
  19. £80 million it is isn't it? Real Madrid are utter fuckwits.
  20. Oh yes most definitely. I like to have a tidy itunes. One of the toughest decisions of my life was whether to put "Belle & Sebastian" or "Belle and Sebastian".
  21. eh yeah basically just looking for some new music to listen to. And now with the wonder of Spotify I can check it before I get it too. Wonderful. Anyway I'd welcome any sort of recommendations from anyone, any genre and from anytime. Particular things I'd like to hear more of are: British/Celtic Folk/Folk Rock Americana Post-Rock Ambient Alternative Country Orchestral stuff Some psychedelic but not total naff stuff jangly rock stuff folk/folk rock in general scary ambient music. Like side two of Bowie's "Heroes" but scarier. Any instrumental jazz Electronic jazz Jazz fusion Husker Du kind of stuff wussy indie pop. Belle & Sebastian for example. epic post-rock jazz music with piano at the epicentre music with trombone music with rotary/hammond/rhodes organ art rock...anything from Roxy Music to...Art Brut(?) good punk music. Not pop-punk. I've had enough of Green Day, blink-182, Offspring, New Found Glory to last a lifetime. Not rubbish punk either. jerky post-punk. gang of four/talking heads etc. hick music ...or anything really. thanking you!

    Russell Brand

Oops sorry about that. I must have read the original post wrongly. I thought he was asking about American comedians that tell jokes about being American, rather than getting laughed at for being American. In that case I'd definitely agree that it doesn't really happen as we've been exposed to far too much American culture for it to be a novel thing.

    Russell Brand

Russell Brand is one the biggest cases of "love him or hate him" in Britain at the moment. He's not really been in the news so much ever since "Sachsgate", apart from pulling the odd bint, but he's always done that. And his act is usually just about sex or talking about his mum. Sometimes he may combine the two. Oh and as far as American comedians here go Rich Hall seems to have that sort of thing, although pretty much his whole act is based around him being American.

    Punk rock.

I would agree with checking these out. I also prefer protopunk, which is why I have quite a bit more of that than actual punk. Oh and the Undertones for some nice late 70s pop punk. Generally though I prefer what came before and after punk - proto-punk and post-punk. One of my favourite post-punk bands are Gang of Four. Their debut album Entertainment! is definitely worth a listen.
  25. Basically I'm looking for a sort of compilation similar to the Ken Burns Jazz compilation series. Similar to the way in which he has a CD for Miles Davis, Ornette Coleman, John Coltrane etc. I would be delighted if anyone knew of a similar series with the likes of Richard Wagner, Igor Stravinsky, Giuseppe Verdi...whatever Any pointers would be greatly appreciated!
