  1. Both very smart decisions I don't know why your complaining. 1) Murphy wanted a gaurunteed first team place, I'm glad he was told to fuck off, anyone asking for that isn't going to fight for the club properly is he? The fact that we have a fairly strong midfield anyway doesn't matter. If only we'd kept Matty etherington everything would be fine. 2) Carr was likely to be Campbell 2. "I love the club", "Its a dream to spend a career at your favourite side". He was on the run and I'm glad we could cash in, he was worth more but 2 mill is more then nothing so I don't care. Besides we've got Tarrico, Ifil and most likely Kelly who can play there respectably anyway. Just wait till I get back on Saturday with a different point of view though...

    Rome Total War

This is shaping up to be the best strategy game ever. MTW still ends up winning bleedin' awards. As for Time Commanders, the only reason they were so strategically incompetnet was that they had only heard of Romanbs, didn't know bugger all about anything else. Even those who used Romans wasted time on Tortuda formations... AOE was good, but didn't have the strategic element of the Total Wars. The fact it has been cloned so often tells how good the system was.
  3. The judge just wanted to an example out of him. A guy did exactly the same thing here on Christmas morning gets 7 months and a fine. Not that Mr Hughes deserve4s to get away with it but hey, at least we're the opposite to the Yanks *coughOJcough*
  4. FIIIX! Clawson arguements were way better and had less spelling mistakes Errors and Ommisions The tour de France cyclists actually don't only come out once a year to ride round France. Just like most sports they have a series of majors (ironically I can't remember them now Italy, Germany and the US spring to mind but not certain) and they have to race all year round. The fact that the tour de France is the most well known means very little. All this said good arguements Mr BnBH, good luck with tonights episode.
  5. Natasha Beddingfield - These Words. Lyrically it sounds like a three year old write it. Lets face it a chorus that says "These words are my own" then repeats "I Love you" multiple times isn't something to brag about writing. Another one played all the fecking time Us UK'ers should be used to crap by now baring in mind there's a monopoly on whats played now and it's nothing particularly new and/or original. It's just crap. Thats why hardly anyone has heard of anything that is number one everywhere else in Europe. *coughnightwishoncecough*
  6. It's the bleedin' first division don't go usiung shitty cash in names That said up - Wolves, West Ham and poss Leicester Down - Leeds, likely a couple of the promted sides not certain As for ITV having viewing rights. Look what that did to the game last time
  7. Thats one thing that still pissing me off, the renaming of all the leagues. How can anyone who is the 21st best team in the country claim to be champions? Why don't they go back to divisions 1 - 4?
  8. Stevenage 3 - 0 Boston Blkoody good performance, although some would say "It's a friendly so it doesn't matter" I'd disagree. Boston were clearly up for this as were Boro' baring in mind it was the dress rehersal for the leagues season and we took the piss out of them. Gazza didn't play which might be why Boston weren't very creative but still, they were outclassed. 18 year old George Boyd is definately going to be a big star with the right development, simply amazing stuff. Even though the class was lower you could here Boston fans proclaiming similarities with a certain young Portuguese player...
  9. The new album "Once" completely blew me away. The use of the huge orchesra really was incredible. Angels Fall First is also a good album. Very lyrical and a lot of interesting stuff there. I love the guitar rif on Tutenkhamen esepcially but another good album. For the record, did you notice on Elvenpath the references to Bilbo and "Great rings of Power", sounds familiar methinks... For the record Nightwish also done a fairly faithful rendition of "Phantom of the Opera". Surprisingly good when you consider the source material.
  10. Lincolnshire based i believe, I can't be arsed to travel there so they can come to Broadhall way and I'm happy
  11. The WWE example is one UK viewers get when they come over and do a PPV. You see the same show pretty much, with the exception of a lower card match or a slightly shorter main event and people have to pay £15-ish for it. As for the Tyson fight I missed it but it was roughly what I expected from it.
  12. Judging from the "Man Utd propoganda tour" kast year I think it'd be a case of Chelsea being the only ones trying.
  13. Haven't done too bad as far as I've noticed. Lost 2-1 at home to Spurs in the traditional opener and have done k against a lot of 2nd and 3rd division teams picking up the odd win. Boston Monday night, should be my first look at the lads in the flesh this season and a chance to see Gazza play for the first time since '91 \o/
  14. The stupidest part of this whole story is that the murderer was a drug addict who was aiming to mug his "friend" when things started to go wrong it became like a scene from the game Manhunt. The murderers own words for god sake (albeit paraphrased slightly as I don't have the paper with me...)
  15. Nightwish - ONce I'd caught the video on TV a couple of times for their new single "Nemo" which I quite like, but I took the plunge after a brief writeup in Kerrang as a band t owatch and haven't regretted it. Completely blew me away, a sensational if not altogether common blend of classical music and metal.
  16. King Johan was senstaional with everything he touched, and more influential then the South Americans. How many kids do you know taught the Maradonna Punch or Pelé shot in school? Looks like he may lose out to the Yank vote though
  17. Good point. We could do a poll for "best killing instigator" with people like the kids who drowned Jason.
  18. Agreed, Psycho kicked arse and I dunno why Bates was missed from that list. As for Bram Stokers Dracxula, he never actually killed anyone, wolves killed the crew of Démeter (maybe Drac in wolf guise) and Van Helsing killed everyone else...
  19. totalwar.org There's a work in progress mod in tghe modding section. Looking good at the moment
  20. Meh, ot's a false scoreline. When you have people sent off for leaning in the first 10 inutes what chance do you have. 15 men might have made it closer.

    80s Music

I disagree OMD > Depeche Mode, one of the key influences apparently. The 80's music you mentioned though kicked so much arse. Unfortunately we live in a world when the same song can knock itself off number one
  22. I was expecting a dutchman personally. The trouble with youth today. Most people in football over the age 22 remember Spurs as one of the top European sides and grew up supporting them. It should be a good season this year. *watches things go wrong*
  23. Club by miles, I wish many an injury on half of these players 52 weeks a year, why should I stop on the basis that they now where a white shirt with blue shorts for a fortnight evey 2 years. I know footy fans are known for being verbose but thats just ridiculous.
  24. Would have been inbteresting take away Ronaldo, he caused so much trouble, didn't know how to deal with him. Look at the rest, a penalty in which Dave actually gets the ball first, but as he said you go in like that it's 60/40 anyway with a big ref against United it's 75/25 and the third RVN was offside. Might've been interesting if Dichio played but Harris couldn't do it all on his own.
  25. How many of your relatives have played in the FA Cup final? Lets hope Dave does his job and teaches those lousy southern wannabe Northerners whatfore. Livermore Vs Keane does sound more like a boxing match though...
