  1. Keane + Jenas = lots of pain. No idea why we can't break down teams who stick everyone behind the ball. Wigan the other week and Wolves today. Possibly should've had a pen though so 1-0 is about right but not acceptable.
  2. Ditto, over 1000 songs covering all sorts of genres and styles in one place? Some of them will feel a little deflated unless they update them to include the new features in the long run but being able to play from that sort of library in one place depending on mood or the whim of any of the band memebers. Plus he seems to ignore the diversity around the artists he mentioned, Dio in the week between Snoop and Marley after Country had followed a week of Disturbed for starters. I know not every week will cater to everyone but generally it's a good mix.
  3. Ouch, wouldn't have expected a Civ to be THAT demanding in comparison. Civ 4 had similar specs to M2 and I wasn't expecting V to be quite so much vaster. Tis much better to look at though and first Civ I'm going to have to skip after many years, will try a demo but not confident on getting anywhere.
  4. Not able to get online with the laptop at the moment so can't check the "Can you run it thing" What are the proposed specs compared to a title like Medieval 2 Total War? I'd guess if I can run that I could run Civ 5 but just double checking.
  5. It's a common arguement but when a blokes not even played 90 minutes he's not going to set the world on fire is he? "Here have a run out for the last quarter of an hour and score a hat trick". One goal in seven isn't THAT bad given the time he's had on the field for England. David Nugent scored on his only appearence (mind you it wasn't his goal was it?) I suppose he should've got a lot more caps for England
  6. Surprised he's gone completely, didn't think they'd be gutless in that respect, it won't die overnight and he'll be abused by the next team, and the next team Unless of course Rangers and Liverpool fans are going to be gentle . Completely random thought but could it mean his sister-in-law has had a turn for the worse?
  7. *goes all nerdy and snorts in Geeky fashion* strictly speaking it's only one film, stupid cinemas refusing to allow 13 hour films
  8. I am reminded of the Motley Crue fans who did that at Sonisphere... In front of the wrong stage and didn't notice until halfway through Rammsteins set...
  9. thinks the "home-grown" rule is the smartest decision the FA have made for years. Quite worrying really...

  10. Don't they already do that due to loopholes in European "child slavery" laws? They can't sign a full time contract until over a certain age while here we can pre-sign them. Arsenals squad kind of shows how that already work. Add in the rule about under 21's being available anyway and there's no real incentive to develop, by the time they're over 21 they've been here over three years. Edited out query about Fabregas' status. Turns out in scanning through I misread "Arshavin" as "Fabregas" idiot...
  11. This is where as a Spurs fan we find ourselves facepalming indefinately. We know how capable we are on our day, then we go and have a shocker like this. For whatever reason we've become too reliant on Bale so when he has to be shifted to full back we find ourselves lacking, especially against an organised defence. Pissed I didn't do my "predictable Spurs insurance" bet today now
  12. Well based on the way Rafa likes his teams to play Inter are going to be as tight as ever at the back and aim to hit us on the break. Hopefully Daws won't play with the pace and manouvrebility of a sinking oil tanker against them should be able to put them under the pressure and can cause trouble, waiting for the day a ref finally does Lucio for diving leading them exposed for the tap in, preffereably in a 1-0 win at the San Siro Bremen are a decent side and could be a wide open corker in both games. Ozil has gone which is a relief but I'm not stupid enough to think they were a one man team. See how Mertesacker copes with Crouchy, should be tougher than Heskey at least! Realistically we'd probably need to do the double over Zilna as well as picking up results off the other two and certainly at the Lane. Looking forward to the group and just hope that Spurs don't ruin themselves psychologically as they are wont to do sometimes.

    Piranha 3D

Isn't this the third time Piranha has been rebooted? It's almost like a Marvel comic these days I think it was Piranha two when they somehow had learnt how to fly and walk around on land, That was an evening I thought I'd drunk too much...
  14. Presuming the Spurs that turn up are the Spurs who pretty much walked over Chelsea and Arsenal within a couple of days (almost a hat-trick with Man Yoo away but an off day and a couple of penalties the difference) they're capable of taking on anyone, especially at WHL. ... but then there's the possibility of the Spurs turning up who were 3-0 down inside, what, 30 minutes against YBB. Seriously, Spurs are less than 24 hours into the big time and people already talk about how they could beat Barca? :/ You're right there's a chance Spurs could field a weakened team, away, on a pitch players weren't able to stand on and get into a rhythm for the first half hour and still be the better side on the night whilst playing shit. Your attempt at a point doesn't really work as it's a completely different scenario. Fact remains that at WHL Spurs are capable of taking on anyone as they have regularly shown in the last few seasons. People are assuming any meeting would be an 8-0 drubbing when there are no facts whatsoever to show that outcome, all I've done, and you've failed to really argue against is say that at home Spurs would have a chance.
  15. Presuming the Spurs that turn up are the Spurs who pretty much walked over Chelsea and Arsenal within a couple of days (almost a hat-trick with Man Yoo away but an off day and a couple of penalties the difference) they're capable of taking on anyone, especially at WHL. I'm not saying we'll do the double over Barca (and ideally we want to avoid them in the group, obviously) but I wouldn't be massively concerned against any of the big boys without deluding myself that it'll be easy. Mind you we did just slaughter someone without leaving second gear... This Europe lark is piss easy
  16. I toyed with the idea of him and decided against it in the end... Ooops
  17. First three points for the clubformerlyknownasBoro' in league football. Great performance and have rewatched Bostwicks goal many, many times great strike. This league football lark's piss easy
  18. Newcastle have been stupidly clinical. Horrible penalty by Carew and bad luck with the handball goal (eagle eyesight there by the official) are the only real difference. Villa not done too much in the quarter of an hour back otherwise maybe they'd have got back for a result, still half hour to go but doubt they're clinical enough to do it. Thank gawd that stupid 'tache is going though!
  19. Actually I'd like to see the explanation too as at the moment he's merely proving my theory with that last post. That EPL fans are easily pleased by Englishmen. HHTK, problem is, despite the money and occasional shoch the Premiership isn't that strong a league outside the top couple of sides (same reason we mock the Scots ironically), it's starting to open up ever so slightly now these days but we'll see how long that lasts. You can go a long way with very limited abilities over here and a few top quality players can do everything towards bringing relative success to a team case in point Arsenal, for all the glory nothing in 5 years. Look at how piss poor Liverpool were last year when their two big boys were missing (either injured or just out of form).
  20. There's a big thing for people whom are neutral to give bum sex to young English Arsenal players and it looks like you've bought into it. He is average and that is about right for him, he's quick but has nothing else to make him stand out as anything more. The reason he's playing for Arsenal is simple, everyone thought he'd be a great player and in the rush Arsenal outbid rivals, since then injuries around him have left Arsenal without much in the right sided department who're able to play which is the only time he gets to start, otherwise he may run at tired defences for a few minutes in a game. As for performing well, one game against shocking opposition at home is not that good. Where's the crying for Harewood as a top player? Mind you, he did it away didn't he?
  21. I take it you're not familiar with the term "flat track bully". It means that they're very good at dominating a far inferior team at home and running up high scores every now and then. Walcott good? remove the specs, he's average at best which is why he's not a regular Arsenal first teamer...
  22. Blackpool suck and Arsenal are good flat track bullies so it opens up to the potential for a massacre. Walcott scored a hat trick shows how shite they really are doesn't it?
  23. They always used to license songs in groups of at least 3 so I'm hopeful of more there. Question is would "Pussy" be safe for LEGO : Rock Band A fair amount on the latest batch were from a leak about a month ago so I'm going to need to hunt that out since it's got a perfect hit rating so far. A game teaching you to play guitar with "Smoke..." on though, I doubt anyone could've predicted that one
  24. Played them off the park? What game were you watching, I think you can count yourself very very lucky to still be in the tie, a bit of better finishing by Young Boys and you could have been 5-1 losers easily. Tottenham really didn't show much at all and if that's how you perform against Young Boys away then I think your time in the Champions League will be real real short. While it certainly didn't feel like it seeing the stats this morning has suggested exactly that. We were shocking in the first half gifting them three goals due to not turning up, after that Spurs had all the ball, managed to carve out as many shots on target (including their three goals), MUCH more shots off target and way more corners. The only thing they had in hand was more fouls which I put down to BAE having a shocking half hour (and a couple of poor though thankfully not panishing decisions). Overall Spurs did control the game but through the concern of getting caught out due to a bad defensive performance didn't really push forward and were too cautious. Probably should've actually won on the night despite the first half hour even not playing well. Just the wake up call needed though to make sure the Lane crowd are jumping from the first minute, wouldn't want Wolves style complacency.
