  1. That's what's so annoying. First half pretty good and could've scored but over two games we've gifted 5 goals that Stevenage would've struggled to concede and now it's a morgue.
  2. Yeah both looked like pretty bad falls, by the time they passed on the second lap one was just covered with a blanket so knew it was gone and the other looked bad. Always a bad sign when they're having to miss fences. Thoughts go out to the connections for both horses.
  3. Should've taken it earlier on. Still had Ballabriggs at 33/1 back in September so happy either way.
  4. 4 goals and another piss poor display of goalkeeping. Sums up the performance today. Hopefully we'll at least go out with a fight at home but with even more injuries it's likely to be a whimper. Deserved winners Real but three of four should NEVER be conceded and the wondergoal came from fannying. I still think a Spurs first team on song can get results agains these people (and have done) but today's a fucking disgrace.
  5. Two bloody stupid set pieces and a wondergoal. Had to turn up tonight and didn't. Recent form was a warning sign but now it's looking silly. After the first half it wasn't that bad but we've been sitting and waiting for Real to score. Still, 3 isn't completely insurmountable
  6. So it's going to be one of those games from Spurs today is it? Damage limitations and try and grab something, if closeish still got a second leg...
  7. Well a couple of exciting ties ahead for us now. A lot of neutrals will be writing us off but a full strength spurs can give anyone a game so looking forward to whatever now. Just better turn up and not cost outrselves early on.
  8. Not at all, however in the last couple of weeks we've seen two English sides fans whining they were cheated when neither referee has made a single mistake of any consequence which wouldn't have raised an eyebrow here. At least Scousers so far have seemed fairly dignified. If Arsenal or City had things go against them fair enough but nobody cOst them anything.
  9. Thing is, for the most part they WERE fouls loads of little niggles and trips which were bloody frustrating. What he did do though was take note of the various standard time wasting ploys and play lots of stoppage time, which he did (even added a minute for a relatively quick sub). He knew they were making a meal of things and didn't book players and made them leave the pitch ASAP. Problem is Bally had one of the worst half hours football I've seen for a long time and City despite dominating position didn't really create a chance. Ref had a decent game and didn't make any real mistakes. What is it with English sides and blaming foreign officials?
  10. Dunno, I'd argue that having the money to spend on souping up flash cars suggests you're unlikely to have a family to worry about. Though the car might get them the odd one night stand. Tough one
  11. Aside from ignoring De Jongs little moment as the ball went away towards the end I'm struggling to find where he went wrong. You're nit Arsene Wenger are you?
  12. To be fair it didn't really win anything. All it got was the GAME award which is the equivalent of Robert Pattinsons and Kristen Stewarts recent wins at the film BAFTAS. Loads of kids voting for the big trend but little notice to be taken of it.
  13. Shakhtar are a class act and could give anyone a run certainly out there. Still, now Arsenal are gone there's no easy fixtures left...
  14. Isn't there a loophole though relating to percentage of games played at an EU side? I'm sure that you can offer him another contract after a couple of months - providing he plays constantly - and he can have a permit granted. That could just be an old bug
  15. Just noticed this. You do realise that backing in is the foul right? Problem is because he's got such an awkward build he will be done for climbing despite being fouled himself. Of course as he's in the box it won't be given as it's too soft a foul to justify giving the penalty. Crouch is annoying but he can't help that defenders can't cope with him in the air.
  16. Well we had to do similar last year with Chelsea and Arsenal in a couple of days to qualify in the first place following a tough FA Cup tie so still hoping we can come through it okay. Good thing the tin pot FA Cup won't be in the way this season
  17. Great game of football. Shame we didn't hang on in the end but to be honest a draw was the fair result as both teams had some bloody good chances.
  18. Was tempted to take this to be highest scoring game this weekend in the Prem. Great game but wish it wasn't!
  19. Did get very lucky with the call on that one. Hasn't happened often this year but if we hang on or grab another one will be very relieved. Wouldn't put money on it now though.
  20. Been a fantastic game but as a Spurs fan you'd rather we just cruised comfortably. Shame that's not our style
  21. aye pitch is poor and we did seem to struggle to see at times with the sun creeping through the side of the stand but we haven't been playing well anyway. Think ourselves lucky JD hit a couple of good strikes and we've got 11 men still, providing they turn up for the second half hopefully we'll kick on.
  22. Stupid boy. We'd done so well to fight back after a poor start and he gives a way a silly penalty. Thankfully the referee has decided to only book him but that's annoying.
  23. I just thought it was a typical hopeless Carragher tackle myself and probably deserved a red. Unless of course he comes out alá Roy Keane and admits he tried to end his career in which case he should be banned for life but to keep going on about his deliberate attempts is pathetic. 3rd goal was coming a mile off. I thought it was going to go straight in but it was obvious where the free-kick was going to go and only one person was there in case VDS got in the same county to get anything on it.
  24. lovely flick across goal from Nani for the second.
  25. These bloody prima-donna multi-millionaire footballers think they can do anything. About time they got taken down a peg or two. What next, shooting trainees? Nolongerboro started scoring goals recently. Still a shout of going up but not quite there yet. Good thing defence has been (generally) so tight to keep them close if we can have our traditional strong finish I'm hopeful.
