  1. That was another possible, I think if he's not pulled back Terry doesn't really get close. As I said I think yellow myself as it was wider and Terry is there for debate, I don't think he's quick enough but maybe could've got close. I can at least sort of see why he sent him off though as opposed to some of the strange decisions we've seen.
  2. He's pulling the guys shirt and hauling him down as the last man. Only slight defence is that it wasn't central but remove the shirt pulling he's away and couldve been. I think yellow but I can see the call for a red.
  3. That was the logic they used to dump me in goal. Eventually I figured the way to get out of staying in goal was to be deliberately awful so someone else would say "Oh fuck it I'll do it then", once out I'd play well and eventually when I was scoring more than the supposed best footballers they reluctantly accepted I'm probably better off not dumped in goal.
  4. In primary school I knocked out Darren Bent (and claimed a goal) during a six a side football game. I'd ended up in goal and managed to get down well to make a save to my right. Got up and thrown the ball out hammered him in the back of the head and the ball rolled in. While he got the last touch the throw was clearly on target to begin with. Later on I was out scoring him in secondary school then completel wrecked my knee, I should've been missing sitters for England On the rugby pitch I played for an hour in a game with a broken arm, I'd gone over for a try as an opponent dropped onto my arm and broke it. It hurt like heck (as one would expect) but the shirt didn't really show up and I just assumed it was a tough impact hit and played on but not really using the right arm, it wasn't until after the match trying to get changed I couldn't get the shirt off the arm and when shirt was off noticed it's not normally bent at that angle... Oh and I broke a PE teachers nose palming him off as he attempted to tackle me in a game. May be a few more but they'll come back soon...
  5. While nit picking he should also have used the lob button and aimed towards the goal for it to hit the side netting. You'd think after all that effort he'd get those things right too. Otherwise it just seems lazy
  6. They've had a perfect sweep of red cards so far haven't they? Guess that rules them out a "fair play award" qualification.
  7. so ummm... title going up to Manchester this season then?
  8. I've come to the conclusion 'arry is really pissed off and is trying to work his way out of the club Can't see where any of them would really be trading up
  9. They're still reporting that? That's pretty piss poor... If you win the first leg 1-0 at home and then draw 1-1 away you're through on aggregate. Away goals don't even come into it
  10. It's so he can bring in some overpriced tripe who's not fit to lace Modric's boots no doubt. Happy with the Adebeyor signing but none of the other players he's "very interested" in look fit to wear the shirt. Mind you we're always linked in with every player under the sun genuine interest or not.
  11. Good grief... We know there's some dodgy shit going on with the deal but only one person actually WANTS us to have the olympic stadium. Sadly it's the chairman
  12. I searched for Hedonismbot and after discovering nothing just stopped
  13. ball spilled, player tries to kick it. I'm struggling to see what was so bad, he'd just got the ball as Defoes foot makes contact. Foul but hardly anything extra special, hell De Gea didn't even make a fuss until the rest of the team surrounded JD For the first hour of the game Spurs looked quite comfortable but got clueless near the box. Man Yoo had the defence perfect sitting nice and deep and not allowing us to get behind them, once that happened we were clueless and generally restricted to long shots mainly straight at De Gea. Once Man Yoo scored though it was predictable and we were fortunate at 3-0 they went up a gear, we went down several. Had that effort hitting the post crept in maybe a grandstand finish but toothless. A deep defence and our attacking options were non-existent.
  14. That and the other Law and Orders/CSI's for me. A bit of football too but I hate their coverage so it's purely coincidence they paid for the events.
  15. To be honest... Based in Dundee and with people involved from Psygnosis (probably butchered) and... DMA? - the people behind the old school GTAs - I'd say this has a chance of being a real. A lot of developers from yesteryear prefer to code for the iPhone systems and there's a lot of people who play games on them. I'm not saying that this game's definately going to happen but it seems to have a little more to it then a lot of the crap we get on here. It could all be bullshit he's spouting but I'll give them a chance. Keep us posted and if it does happen I'll at least give a demo a look at.
  16. Parker will want Premier League football to try and squeeze into the England set up as it's a tournament summer. If he can do well with a crap team again he might have a chance again - still not entirely sure how he was voted the best player in the league myself but a good year. I'm still surprised he's not really had anything from a bigger club. His wage demands must have been bloody ridiculous.
  17. Wonder how bitter John Sheridan would be if the 7 minutes injury time hadn't been added giving them a chance to get their stupidly late equaliser. He was one of those that complained last season mind you so not many surprises there.
  18. Udinese will be quite happy with that one in the end. Reminded me a lot of Spurs the way they played. Lots of good passing and skill but they just seemd a bit clueless at times when they got to the box, can see the fans frustration at times this season. Who've Arsenal got likely to be back for the second leg who was missing for this one?
  19. Doesn't matter it's at Old Trafford, they could send out the Under 13 girls, we'll put on one of our worst performances of the season whatever side they pick OR we'll play well and have one of those days where it just won't go in before a massive "WTF?" decision happens. There's been quite a few where we've decided to do both in recent years.
  20. 1PW closed down earlier than predicted taken from their twitter.
  21. Subbuteo cricket! Never got the chance to play that as most of the bits were lost by my cousin before it got passed on. The Rugby version was pretty good too. All I have now is the remains of the football one
  22. *retro gaming nerd moment* Sid had never played the board game before doing the computer game. He'd heard of it but didn't know anything about it in reality. For my part I've still got to find the time to try this one out... and several other games I've seen here. F1 Subbuteo sounds a laugh for starters.
  23. That people on here are saying Barton should've gone for grabbing someone by the shirt says it all. It's a bookable offence and he was booked. Christ if every time players grabbed an opponent by the shirt most games would be down to 8 a side. He shouldn't have done it and he shouldn't have gone down so easily. I'd say however had he not gone down Arsenal would've kept 11 on the pitch despite a player stamping on an opponent and slapping him. That Barton's a twat is a substory. Of course he's become the main story here when it should've been the sneaky and foul behaviour as the headline, but yeah, he went down when someone slapped him (bring in video refs and maybe people wouldn't do the "OMG HE HIT ME" dive).
