  1. Boro let in last kick of the game equaliser up at Chesterfield. I'll take that it's not been a bad start to the campaign for us. Would've preferred to hold on for the win but we're always slow starters so this year's not been so bad.
  2. Even top flight football referees have the howlers, thing is it's not always the ones you say "yeah fair enough I can SEE how at first glance" some of them can be painfully obvious that even allowing for the referee not quite spotting it the lino should do. For the respect campaign, in a way football referees don't "earn" it from players. They shouldn't have to do so but I think they try to act too matey. It's one thing to be having a joke with the captains in the tunnel before a game but once you cross the line you are in charge and what you say goes. Therefore you don't stand around joking with Rio Ferdinand when he's ordering you to book someone or let John Terry scream in your face for not giving a penalty. If a referee told Ferdinand to bugger off or booked Terry for the dissent it'd soon start solving problems. Of course, when a referee does do something about these things he's normally abused by the media anyway
  3. No, it's just a lot of referees aren't up to the job
  4. I think some networks have been deliberately making non HD footage look worse to usher people across. There's no way that football in 2001 was the horrible blurry mess it appears when watching clips on Sky Sports for one.
  5. Great game at Broadhall Way last night. Shame about the last minute of extra time penalty for Peterborough but played well. Keep that sort of guts in the league and could have another decent season. Not expecting another promotion though but some entertainment ahead.
  6. To my memory you're about right there. Pretty sure those three incidents all come to around the end of the first episode or at most are done by halfway in the second. I'm in a similar position to fr34k in the books for now. Agreeing about his review so far.
  7. Early heads up... One Pro Wrestling to close after their anniversary show on 8th October. I'll keep you posted on this one.
  8. Thing is, if it was a whole new character (likely a ninja) from beyond Earthrealm who could invade peoples dreams and rip them to shreds with claws they'd go nuts. I bet they had heart attacks over MK VS DC.
  9. Yeah, tired of being asked how I'm going to play after playing high energy attacking football for fifteen years so "launching into a foul mouthed tirade at assembled journalists" is the only joy I get out of it... And my assistants normally say the wrong things and cause doubts in players minds...
  10. Raw Spoilers If someone is labeled inactive doesn't that mean they can't hold titles? Or in the event that
  11. Okay in that case a belated apology and to say BG James and Kevin Nash worked 1PW. DDP did agree to but pulled out over contractual problems. How do you want to do the Dragongate UK events? They're only one event a year when the Dragongate crew come over and take on some British talent. Can try and keep you posted on as many British events as I can...
  12. How does the update work regarding international work? For example BG James and Kevin Nash worked for 1PW yet they don't have UK marked off as places they'll work. Is this just because you weren't told about them or is there a certain amount of dates people need to work? I'm asking because Rhino and Kid Kash who worked the same dates are labelled on the 1PW roster.
  13. Add me to the list of people who finds him annoying. Though arrogance can be bred in boxers. Certainly ours, remember though - like Eubank - might just be working the audience and helping him to stand out. Self promotion is a big part in getting somewhere in boxing. Also can't forgive him for sharing the ring with Bieber and not killing him.
  14. O'Hara fucked himself over with his "I hope Spurs get stuffed" during the FA Cup semi a couple of seasons ago. I understand it, he was young and naive and didn't think through his repsonse which is what ITV were relying on but some people aren't going to understand or forgive. Look at the way people never forgave Ghali for the "I've just got on the pitch and you're fucking subbing me off?!?" moment. I wish for the best for him as he was a good player, I'm not sure he'd have been able to force his way in to the side as there were better options so I'm glad we've got 5 mill for him and that he's going to be able to get the regular football he needs and deserves.
  15. Aside from that mischief maker. We all have different management styles and would potentially be building different teams. Then there's the Ebbsfleet problem, there are some teams one would not be prepared to help achieve success for example!
  16. For Stevenage H - Exeter A - Chesterfield A - Bournmouth H - Hartlepool A - MK Dons Could be an interesting start... Last away game Sheffield United before finishing at Fortress Broadhall Way against Bury.
  17. RE - loaning out youngsters. If I'm a lower league club I'll let a lot of spares out on loan providing wages are covered. Every penny counts so will let them shop window and give them a year/two depending on default contract to see if they're likely to have assets I've missed or at least be flogged for a few quid. Not much. At a high level you can pick up teams of a decent standard abroad so if I have a partnership I might do for a year. A lot of the time you can get partnerships with a side like Gent who though not in your league (presuming English Prem) with facilities and opponents might have a decent year competing for domestic honours and a little in Europe too which is more useful. Very rare for domestic loans.
  18. I'm just glad during the merrygoround Westley has been ignored. I know he's rich enough to not necessarily be tempted by higher salaries and has his long term plans but would've thought he caught the attention of a championship/lower mid premiership club by now after last seasons performance.
  19. http://www.nme.com/filmandtv/news/sean-bean-stabbed-outside-london-pub/218650 He's back from the dead and still kicking arse

    Doctor Who

IT was under the RTD stewardship though where everything ultimately would fit in to his vision for the sake of the storylines carried throughout the series. Moffat worked around that by including the Doctor in a negligible role and still keeping the subtle links.

    Doctor Who

Given how by the time it happened it was so obvious you'd bloody hope so! Agree with the change in writing though, I HATED the messianic doctor we used to have, the episodes were still good and enjoyable but in some cases it just got stupid. Think it says a lot that arguably the most enjoyable and nervy episode under RTD was "Blink" where the doctor was near non-existent.
  22. Harmonix forgot to tell Sony Europe to upload it when it all went back on line.
  23. Think that says a lot for how clueless these people are. It's a field day for us though, like when they have rare NES games in cash converters complete for 25p.
  24. Pssst. Band Hero has nothing to do with Rock Band I'm still waiting for my damn Lordi DLC
  25. I can't believe how well he's done. He barely look United Counties league quality while he was with nolongerboro!
