  1. Remember his mostly as an Astro, and as a guy I would always sign as a free agent on Season Ticket Baseball. RIP.
  2. This is a great song, the album Here are the Sonics has so many gems on it. The Sonics were actually a Kingsmen influenced 60s garage rock group out of Seattle. Although, there apparently was actually a Sonics of the 1950s, but not the same as the Boss Hoss performers. ←

  4. 'Carnage' The Ataris So fucking emo, but I like it. 'Sunshine' Twista Hip-pop. But Twista canrapfastlikethisandhasnospaces so that's cool. It's also a great summer song. 'Wannabe Gangster [album verison]' Wheatus Sure, their singles sucked, but this song KICKED ASS HARD. Fortunately the version they released as a single was the worst thing on earth, so me liking it never became an issue. 'Minor Details' Adequate 7 Funk-punk with annoying vague political lyrics, but the rapping parts are way cool and it's funky as shit. It also has the lyric 'As I speak words and verbs'. Lyrics aren't too bad actually (I'm listening to it now). Well, actually, they're not great. I should probably wait until the song is over to make these conclusions. The instrumental bit in the middle is pretty subpar. 'Boss Hoss' by The Sonics Lyrics: "Just bought myself a new set of wheels, my folks had me spring the deal. Believe me buddy, I'm no fool. I got the money working after school. It's the movingest car and I'm never lost (?!) 'cause it's a real Boss Hoss. It's a real Boss Hoss. Real Boss Hoss. It's painted a turn-on red, girls see it and it knocks 'em dead. I get around just everywhere, people stop and say 'lookee there' (?!?!?!?!). I get all the honeys and I'm never lost (?!) 'cause it's a real Boss Hoss. It's a real Boss Hoss. Real Boss Hoss. Woah! It really moves, and everybody's losing. It has never lost, woah yeah, woah yeah, because it's a real Boss Hoss (repeat from Woah!) Everybody is a-jealous of me, one look and you can see, with this car this car I never lose, don't you ever try to chose. It's a moving car, and I'm never lost, 'cause it's a real Boss Hoss. Real Boss Hoss. Woah! It's a real Boss Hoss. Real Boss Hoss". But it was the fifties, so hey.
  5. Murphys from 'Sing Loud Sing Proud' suck, but before that they're good, Boysetsfire suck, Flogging Moly suck, The Specials don't suck. If you like early Murphys, then just listen to the Pogues and save yourself the moral preaching. There is an easy chart for your listening convenience.
  6. Eww, no, don't. Please Cloudy. The Transplants suck ass hard. Stick to Rancid, I don't like the word sell-out, I hardly use it, but come on, when one of their songs is featured in a Garnier Fructis commerical... ←
  7. Rancid are fairly sucky (and Fall Back Down is a child's motivational song), but they're good live. Go and see them live.

  9. That is a rather intelligent comment. I guess inspiration means nothing to you. You can say the same thing about the clash/any punk band, the ramones/any punk band, the sex pistols/any punk band, grandmaster flash/any hip hop artist, NWA/any rapper. It makes no sense because "Flogging Molly" isn't ripping off the "Pogues". They have their instruments in common. That's it. I can say "The Pogues" are just celtic music, except with a drunken lead singer. ←
  10. Flogging Molly are just The Pogues, if The Pogues really really really really really sucked.
  11. The Clash - Rock the Casbah (3:52) Minor Threat - Filler (1:31) Sparta - Air (4:01) The Sonics - Psycho [1969 Remastering] (2:38) Blood Brothers - Kiss of the Octopus (2:36) The Shadows of Knight - Bad Little Woman (2:39) MC5 - Looking at You (2:56) Mission of Burma - Progress (3:05) Mission of Burma - That's When I Reach for My Revolver (3:58) Living Colour - Back in Black (4:24) Bad Brains - Leaving Babylon (4:11) MC5 - High School (2:40) Dead Kennedys - California, Uber Alles (3:00) Agent Orange - Too Young To Die (2:04) Johnny Thunders - Too Much Junkie Business (2:43) Bad Brains - I & I Survive (5:13) Sonic Youth - Plastic Sun (2:11) The Mamas and the Papas - California Dreaming (2:41) Anti-Nowhere League - Long Live Punk (3:53) Gang of Four - Natural is Not in it (3:06) Some of my favourite bands are missing, but it's not a wildly innacurate snapshot of my overall tastes.
  12. My favourite band. Have all their albums anyway. No way is Rudie Can't Fail better than Hateful. RCF gets really boring after a few listens. Hateful is one of the best songs on an amazing album. And it's 'Wrong Em, Boyo'. It's kind of shame that both of Strummer and Jones went on to become a part of the shitty dance-rock explosion, with Strummer furthering idiot douche Shaun Ryder's career, and Jones forming Big Lamedio Dynashite. At least Strummer had the Mescaleros though, they were pretty good.
  13. Uhm, but unless you pronounce morons "morrins", it doesn't rhyme. That song doesn't work, Squancho! First Kou rehashes a bad joke, now this. ← Has the sun set on EWB's Golden Duo? I'm Peter Sissons, and am in no way involved.
  14. Man, on MLB on Five (British station that carries MLB), the pundit guy said that the Yankees 'were worried it could be fatal'. I mean, holy shit. By comparison, this is good news. So, get well soon, you disgusting Yankees man .

  16. I love Nomah. I want to sex him. Now, he has gone away to the land of wind and ghosts. And Cabrera is shitty. And I can't even spell Doug's surname. I don't like these new guys. I want Nomah back. This has been a crappy end to a crappy day. I like Dave Roberts, though. My kind of player. Both NY teams did some good dealing. The Marlins-Dodgers deal was interesting, but I don't know who it favours. Choi is a good prospect with decent ability right now, Lo Duca a very good catcher. Encarnacion should not be playing every day, though, and I don't think Penny will ever fully realise his potential. San Diego had a nice day too. If the Dodgers deals don't go well for them (and they look sort of...dodgy, lololololol) then I can maybe see SD pipping LA and SF. Philly got a couple of good arms for their 'pen, but didn't do as well as either of their division rivals. I wouldn't be surprised to see ChiSox catch up to Twins a little after today's deals. Why did a team like the Twins trade a good everyday guy for prospects?
  17. Why aren't you banned, you worthless douchebag? I've yet to see a post from you that wasn't a complete waste of everyone's time...
  18. 8720, with a laggy ass computer. The bar is raised again for you bizznitches.
  19. Nazi Punk was pretty prevalant around the time of the eighties hardcore movement. These people weren't neccesarily political fascists, but normally wrote racist / homophobic / misoganist songs. For example, Angry Samoans, Dead Boys and Agnostic Front. First two bands are very good, AF are shitty, and just wrote the same song over and over again.
  20. STFU, Living Shitatthisgameend
  21. Damn. I beat Squanchos' score, but my computer re-started, as is its wont. Oh well, I'll just hafta do it again...
  22. 1575...I worked out how to throw now. (Y)
