Have you actually seen/heard them live? Nothing like that, but then, if you don't like them anyway, it's doubtful you'd like them live.

I don't neccessarily like everything the bands have one, but live, they're an excellent experience.

One of my uni tutors advised me that if I can't get my head round lead/rhythm guitar (which is true), then bass is the way to go. I might try it after Christmas when I've got some spare cash.

Living it up is probably the best one to get if it's your first expansion pack. More general stuff. And so far, the only official extras availible for the sims 2 are downloads from maxis.

The Sims 2 is definitely worth it. but bear in mind they'll be releasing packs for that too.

Just in general. I've seen packs (booster pack size, no idea how many cards), going for over a fiver in some plces (think it was Smiths).

I've heard them do various speeds and acoustic and whatnot, but it still sounds samey to me. Not always in a bad way, I just couldn't listen to them for hours on end. And from what i've heard, it really wouldn't work with a game like Halo.
