Randy Orton just got injured on Raw and i got the he may never return message, then he returned on the very next Smackdown. I had a Evan Bourne/John Cena and Eve feuding with Swagger, Ryder and Beth on Superstars. After few tag team matches, Beth had it with Swagger losing and kicked him in the balls. Bourne won a singles match against Swagger the week later and then apparently formed alliance with Cena and Eve. I tried to win the rumble with Lesnar, but got eliminated then i chose the 28th entrant which was Evan Bourne and won it. Now i plan to have him face Mark Henry for the title at Wrestlemania, another thing would be him turning heel and challenging Cena who won the WWE title at Rumble. So far i've played the way the game has wanted and not really changed anything. There was a match between Daniel Bryan and Christian on Smackdown after Royal Rumble, where i won the Intercontinental title with Bryan from Ezekiel Jackson. Before the match Slater showed up. I won the match with Christian and after it he and Slater were about to beat Bryan more, but Ezekiel made the save. Main event on that night was Ezekiel vs Regal, where i did interfere with Christian and dropped both of them with Killswitches to get a cutscene of the match ending in No Contest and Christian posing at ringside. There seems to be lot of different things that can happen in Universe. Well i'm just 6-7 weeks into it, but atleast i haven't seen any cutscene twice like the few same ones happening all the time last year. Has anyone made it to Money In The Bank yet, does it have it's own MITB match for both Raw and Smackdown or just one? Tried the Road to Wrestlemania for a while as well, i liked how the Bragging Rights match was done, that's pretty much how far i am. Great game, i agree on it being the best one in years.

I just had one of my favourite matches on any WWE game on my second week of Universe. Alberto Del Rio vs Rey Mysterio. Cutscene: Mysterio walks down the ramp, Del Rio comes apparently from under the ring or somewhere appearing in front of the ring and beats Mysterio at ringside. I throw Mysterio into the ring, he gets up and bell rings. Cutscene: Del Rio pretty much goes fuck this and dives out from the ring and taunts at ringside. Match goes for pretty long and i hit maybe four Cross Armbreakers but no matter how much i bash the buttons i can't make anyone submit, then at one point Mysterio starts to make a comeback and i can't seem to get anything countered. Mysterio counters some move with a Inside Cradle, which i'm finally able to reverse into one of my own and get the three count. Cutscene: Del Rio about to leave the ring but comes back to stomp Mysterio again. May not sound anything special, but atleast i got a good laugh from all the Del Rio cutscenes in just one match. Universe mode is awesome, haven't got time to try Road to Wrestlemania yet. The matches seem to be little harder, also i seem to have more trouble doing the reversals than in earlier games. The submission system just doesn't work or i just suck too much at it, it seems to be really easy to get out from submissions, but no matter how close to death you beat the opponent i can't get the Breaking Point bar up. Also i like that the grapple moves don't come from the analog stick anymore. So far seems like a best WWE game in years, need to get everyone unlocked soon for Universe.
  3. Norwegian Wood. Not even close to being as good as the book. It felt really rushed in my opinion, i know it's not going to have everything from the book, but still lots of stuff i enjoyed was missing. I would say it's still atleast a decent film, the book just happens to be one of my favourites. Also Reiko's character has maybe few lines in the whole movie, i felt that if i hadn't read the book in the end i could've possibly go just "who the hell is she?" even the end felt rushed to me, oh well. Maybe it would actually be better to someone who hasn't read it.

  5. Just finished this week's episode of Community. That was the best one with the timeline one so far. Favourite moments were Troy hitting Abed covered in bubble wrap with the tennis racket in Annie's aparment, made me laugh so hard for some reason. Also the montage and how Troy/Abed/Annie's story in the end made Jeff cry. "I liked Horsebot 3000." The first few ones this season weren't that funny to me, but now it seems they are back on track.
  6. I can recommend Deadman Wonderland it was pretty good, atleast check it out. I just think that it should've been longer than twelve episodes.
  7. New Nightwish single, a pretty good song, still sounds a little 'too happy' to me. Imaginaerum coming out in about three weeks in Finland, last of the albums that i've been waiting this year. Going to see them live in March.
  8. I really liked Norwegian Wood, i don't read books very often but it had a nice story that worked for me. Yeah, it's basically just a love story but atleast in my opinion a very good one. Norwegian Wood being the only Murakami book that i've read i'm also looking for what to get next. I was going to get the 1Q84 first, but now i kind of want to get Kafka On The Shore. Probably going to get one of them before christmas. After finishing Norwegian Wood i've just been wanting something more to read. Recently i also read the James Hetfield: The Wolf at Metallica's door book by Mark Eglinton. It started pretty good, but then turned just into the writer's opinion on Metallica's records, just like Joel McIver's Metallica book. Also, are the Hunger Games books any good, i've been thinking on getting the trilogy? Seems Battle Royale-ish from what i've heard/read about them. I still have the third Mass Effect book left to read and also Someday This Pain Will Be Useful To You that i got from brother, no idea really what it will be like.
  9. They were playing last night on Jools Holland show. Doesn't sound too bad, i actually somewhat like both clips. Apparently they also played The View, but it won't be broadcasted before Friday. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=toP57rDQtPE&feature=player_embedded
  10. I could list many Final Fantasy songs, but this has always been one of my favourite game songs. Also Apparently you can't put three links in a row, but this one as well considering how much i liked both Persona 3/4 and the third's final boss battle taking close to an hour (every time) to beat and after many game overs this became somewhat familiar. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rdMhTL5bZrs
  11. Making a double-post two days later.. Pretty interesting as me being a huge fan of Aronofsky's work. The video itself might be cool. Also Iced Honey is one of the better songs of the album. Oh and also Lou Reed's "I hope i can be his next black swan." just burned a very disturbing image to my mind.
  12. Now that i've heard the whole thing, it's not really a huge disappointment, but not really great either. I'm in a mood to just write something so what i think about the songs... First Brandenburg Gate, i'm maybe in minority but i've liked that one from the first clip they put out. I really like the riff in the beginning that kicks in just before Hetfield starts screaming "Small Town Girl." The View is somewhere between okay and good song. Hetfield's parts are good here. I want to like Pumping Blood as it's musically pretty good, but Lou Reed kind of ruins this one for me. Ulrich's drumming is different from the usual snare rape in the middle in the part with only him and Lou Reed, his drumming is actually my favourite thing about it. Mistress Dread is just plain bad. Iced Honey is another one i like. Lou Reed is pretty good here, pretty simple and good rock song. I actually like the "See the ice will melt for you/Iced Honey duel in the end with Reed/Hetfield. Then three songs that are bad Cheat On Me is just way too long, the slow opening though is kind of cool. I just don't get Frustration, i like that one riff that comes around 7:15. I like the acoustic on Little Dog, but otherwise i found it boring. In lots of songs there are some stuff that works great, but so much stuff that just doesn't. Dragon is a good one, i love the riff that starts around 2:45 and gets repeated about 137 times before the end, still this song is just great. I like how it feels that it's just going faster and faster towards the end. Best one with Brandenburg Gate and... Junior Dad. Best one to come from this project. I love the melodies and pretty much everything, best song Lou Reed wise as well.
  13. There's only been one episode after that, Fox put it on hold over October for some reason after giving it full season. Should return next week. I don't think the third episode was anything special from the other two, it's still a good show i think. Once Upon A Time premieres tonight, anyone else going to check it out?
  14. Yeah, that's true. I've had the melody stuck in my head for a while now, it repeats that basically through the whole singing part but i think it's really cool. If they had cut the instrumental part off and ended it at the 10 minute mark, this whole thing would've fit on one CD. It's still a brilliant song. I also love the riff at Dragon that kicks in about 2:47, also Pumping Blood from 6:00 is pretty crazy. The more i listen to this, the better it seems to get. I need to sit down and just do nothing but listen through this whole thing, probably going to wait till the cd to do that.
  15. I'm only about few hours into the game, there seems to be lots of other stuff to do along with the main story. The Catwoman stuff was a DLC after all? Awesome game so far. I haven't been this hooked to any game since Mass Effect 2. The opening was brilliant.
  16. The more i listen to it, the better Junior Dad is. What a great song, quite possibly the best one on this.
  17. Okay, this is definitely much better than i expected it to be. Musically this is really good and different, i like that. I have no problem with the fact that this isn't usual Metallica, didn't really expect it to be. There seems to be some repeating in several songs but didn't bother me too much. There's many great guitar parts and i love the acoustics on few songs. I'm still not the biggest Lou Reed fan, but he doesn't annoy me as much as i thought he would and is actually pretty good in some parts, like in Junior Dad for example. So far Brandenburg Gate, Iced Honey, Cheat On Me, and Junior Dad sound good. After "The View" i was afraid that this is going to be a total disaster, but there's few really interesting ones. I pre-ordered the album and will wait till i get it to listen the whole thing. It's far from awesome, but not that terrible that internet opinions make it sound. I just wish that Hetfield would've got to sing more on this. Most of Metallica's fans are going to shit on this so bad.
  18. I'll be watching these atleast for now, so far they've all been pretty good: Bakuman Boku Ha Tomodachi Ga Sukunai Guilty Crown Mirai Nikki Persona 4 Also for nostalgia after buying Pokemon White, i've been checking Pokemon Best Wishes every now and then.
  19. Here's 30 sec. previews of all the songs. Musicwise i think that sounds pretty good, still it's just short clips and in some of them you can't really tell anything about the song, but pretty much everything there sounds better than The View so that's a plus. Pumping Blood is only one where i absolutely can't stand Lou Reed's voice in, that just sounds fucking horrible. There's few that i quite like (Brandenburg Gate, Iced Honey and Little Dog.) EDIT: For anyone interested the samples can now be heard on the official site. http://www.loureedmetallica.com/news/preview-all-the-songs-from-lulu
  20. Well, David Silverman tweeted "Drinks all around!" and a link to this: http://abcnews.go.com/blogs/entertainment/2011/10/report-the-simpsons-will-continue-cast-accepts-pay-cut/ I saw the same thing elsewhere, still no official announcement about it. Hope that it's true and they've reached some sort of agreement.
  21. Haha, i just watched that episode today. Always makes me laugh so hard when i see it. "Why? Why must life be so hard? Why must I fail at every attempt at masonry? " Here's Harry Shearer talking about the current situation: http://www.tvline.com/2011/10/simpsons-harry-shearer-season-24-contract-talks/
  22. Yes, there's been two episodes so far. Not seen the second one yet, but the first one was pretty funny.
  23. http://www.aoltv.com/2011/10/06/fox-threatens-to-cancel-the-simpsons-actors-pay-dispute/ I've been reading about this in past few days, according to that tomorrow will settle will The Simpsons be cancelled come May '12 and even if it doesn't it will end to Season 24. It's not nearly as good as it once was, but i've liked it to this day. Hell the show is actually older than i am and i've been watching it as long as i can remember. I really hope that they get to end it properly with a final season and not just get cancelled awkwardly. Still i wonder what are they going to do with the rest as they will have 7 holdover episodes left if it gets cancelled in the spring. Also those two Season 23 episodes they've aired so far have been both pretty good, in my opinion best season openers in years.
  24. I might as well answer to that. They have just made music that i really enjoy, not everything though but more to that later. I've always liked Hetfield's lyrics, they peaked on Load/Reload albums. Those two are different from the other stuff they've made. I like their thrash albums of the 80's. Hard to say which one is the best one. I like Black Album, but then there's stuff like Hero Of The Day, The Outlaw Torn, Low Man's Lyric and FiXXXer on those two albums that i really like as well, then again those two albums also have the worst songs they've done. He might not be the world's greatest singer, but Hetfield's vocals are something i've always liked. His voice isn't what it was in the 80's or even most of 90's, watching Master Of Puppets from twenty-years ago and today there's a big difference in it. It's still getting better from what it was around St.Anger tour. I'm also a big fan of their ballad-ish songs like Unforgiven 1/2, Fade To Black, Low Man's Lyric etc. Kirk and Hetfield have both done some great solos over the years. Always have been my favourite band, but they are not perfect. Ulrich's drumming has been getting worse the older he's become. There's some really bad songs on Load/Reload. St. Anger has few good songs, but it has some terrible shit as well and it is their worst album easily, Kill 'em All is pretty good musicwise, but that's one album where i hate Hetfield's voice. So there it is... Now that i look at that post, to make it simple you could say that most of what i like about them comes from James Hetfield's lyrics/vocals and song writing.
