I was reading an article where a bunch of high school Michigan and Ohio State fans were polled and the majority of them indicated that they didn't view any real extra importance in this game or the rivalry. Was kinda shocking to see until I remembered that Ohio State has won 14 of the last 15, basically the entire time these teenagers have watched football. It's like the rivalry got so one-sided that it skipped a generation.

That’s my concern. Have an awful feeling it’ll be Steve Wilks. That said, it’s obvious the Giants have to do something as they have the worst coaching staff in the league. Kevin Zeitler comes in and immediately turns to shit. Their top three draft picks from last year have all regressed massively...yes Barkley’s been hurt but still, the scheme does him no favors. Will Hernandez turned awful and BJ Hill has been benched. All of these guys were good last year, so for them all to regress falls on coaching.

Josina Anderson of ESPN put out a tweet not even five minutes after the scuffle that Garrett will say that he heard a slur, because she couldn't imagine any other reason he'd react that way. She deleted the tweet and issued an apology not long after. It wouldn't shock me if Rudolph said something, being a MAGA head and all. That said, if it happened I do wonder why Garrett sat on it for a week.

If memory serves, a few voters did that for Rivera and Griffey in recent years as well. One player ballots, seemingly trying to make the point that those players were in a league of their own and putting others in at the same time wouldn’t do them justice. Like, I get it. The NFL equivalent is when they don’t waste time doing a presentation debating the candidacy of first ballot shoo-ins. The presenter will walk up, say “Peyton Manning”, and then sit down. But those guys don’t go in solo either. Nobody deserves a solo class if there are other candidates that warrant enshrinement.

And the first joke ballot of the year goes to Steven Marcus, who submitted a ballot of Jeter and Jeter only. The idea that you can look at that ballot and see only one Hall of Fame-worthy player is asinine.
