  1. Separate from all of this, I've gotta say, being an Odell fantasy owner this year has been about the most frustrating fantasy football related thing I can remember. Drafted him in the second round, too early to ever really bench him and he's always ranked as a top 20 play just based on who he is. Gets like 50 yards on the first drive last night, looks like he's going to break out for the first time since week 2. Ends the game with 60 yards total. It's not even like he never gets open, it feels like they're paying him to be a very expensive decoy and keep the top CB on the other team tied up. Mayfield goes long stretches of game without ever even looking in his direction.
  2. You can play a violent game without assaulting someone after the whistle.
  3. I dunno, if I was out and someone was swinging a weapon at my friend I'd be inclined to try to take them down and get some shots in too.
  4. The Browns beating the Steelers for the first time in five years only for the story to be their star defensive player acting like a total lunatic with eight seconds left is so Cleveland.
  5. Myles Garrett suspended for a full season at minimum.
  6. There’s thinking that Cora and Beltran might get fined rather than suspended so as to not punish the Red Sox or Mets who weren’t involved at all.
  7. The league has summoned AJ Hinch, Alex Cora, and Carlos Beltran to the league office to conduct interviews about the sign stealing. This is going to turn into yet another LOLMETS moment when their manager gets hit with a lengthy suspension before ever getting to manage a game, isn't it?
  8. Taking away stuff that’s already happened is largely pointless. The fans and players will always have those memories of having experienced it. The best punishments would be for moving forward. Maybe a postseason ban for X amount of years and allowing players to opt out of their contracts immediately if they want to go somewhere where they can win a title. It could be an effective death blow to the franchise.
  9. If this was the NCAA, the Astros' World Series win would most certainly be vacated.
  10. Jets CEO Christopher Johnson has already declared that Adam Gase’s job is safe for 2020.
  11. Jacob deGrom wins the NL Cy Young for a second consecutive season
  12. So they told Kaepernick yesterday about the workout scheduled for this Saturday. Kaepernick supposedly asked if it could be a different day and they said no. Also it’s a Saturday in the middle of the season so nobody of any importance will be able to be there because they’ll all be getting ready for games on Sunday. This league is such trash.
  13. ‘72 Dolphins pop the champagne yet again
  14. Chase McLaughlin. The thrill of victory and the agony of defeat. -edit- or maybe he’ll get another shot! What a game.
  15. Yordan Álvarez is AL ROTY. Pete Alonso is the NL ROTY as expected. Andrew Baggarly of The Athletic was the lone voter to deny him the award unanimously.
  16. Shurmur should’ve been fired yesterday, but now seeing the Dolphins win their second game makes me think they need to keep him around through the Giants/Dolphins game next month. I can taste Chase Young.
  17. Falcons and Dolphins cost a whole lot of people who were still left in their Survivor pools.
  18. The Chiefs will make the playoffs but in no way can I buy them as contenders. It’ll be the Pats or Ravens coming out of that conference.
  19. 1 rushing yard for Barkley. Drafting a RB #2 overall is such a brilliant idea!
  20. The DPI rules in the league are so messed up. Just saw Darnold do something that Flacco made a career out of. Overthrow the WR so that they have to turn around and come back through the DB, and the flag for contact is thrown on the DB.
  21. Saquon gets mugged on yet another awful pass block attempt from him, Jamal Adams just straight up pulls the ball out of Daniel Jones’ hands and takes it for a TD. 12 fumbles in nine games for Jones. Quarterbacks with turnover problems in college almost never improve those problems in the NFL and at this point they may seriously have to consider pulling a Cardinals and taking another QB next year. Arizona might’ve saved their franchise by knowing when to cut their losses early. If they do it, Dave Gettleman should not be making that pick.
  22. 14-0 Jets in the first quarter. Giants have run only six plays. Daniel Jones has already fumbled for an 11th time in nine games.
  23. I feel like the Padres change uniforms more than any other team. That said, these are some nice-ass uniforms.
  24. Glad Bama lost but you know they're getting into the playoffs anyway, even if it means two SEC teams yet again. It's Bama's birthright to play for a title every season.
