  1. You are VERY OVERGAY. Step back, you've gone too far. It's one thing getting in touch with your feminine side, but quite another to have girls thinking of you as 'just a friend'. You need to get in touch with your masculine side again.
  2. Well, unless you are gay I wouldn't expect you to know any of those bands. Pansy Division and Junior Senior are personally my favorite and even if you are a heterosexual male you should check out the bands. Entertaining.
  3. Electric Six (Gay Bar), Pansy Division (they are queer-core), Junior Senior (one of them is gay), God Is My Co-Pilot, Team Dresch, The Nerves, Heatmiser, Tribe 8, Fifth Column, Scott Free, Behead The Prophet, and Sta-Prest all are very notable queer bands. Not to even mention the homosexual inspired rap that hasn't even begun to break MTV and the mainstream culture. Trust me, their are lots of things MTV can do with a gay channel. And hey, it is not like anyone is forcing you to watch. Don't like it, change the channel.
  4. Oi. Anyone like the Cockney Rejects? Anyone have enough brains to like them. I got into them by total accident. A year ago I was searching for a Sex Pistols song; and got Oi, Oi, Oi. A friend of mine heard me listening to the song and gave me the Cockney Rejects CD. Never put it down since. They are an awesome Oi band. If you like a lot of UK77, than you will love the Rejects. CHECK OUT : East End Skins, Fighting in the Streets & Police Car.
  5. Talkin' Honkey Blues : Just love it; it intrigues me.
  6. ALBUMS 5. The Doors; "The Doors" 4. Refused; "The Shape of Punk To Come" 3. Outkast; "Stankonia" 2. Led Zeppelin; "Led Zeppelin IV" 1. The Clash; "The Clash" SONGS 5. Joe Strummer; "Coma Girl" 4. Primus; "Jerry Was A Race-Car Driver" 3. Opeth; "The Moor" 2. The Doors; "Light my Fire" 1. The Clash; "Spanish Bombs"

    Emo

I like this band called Moneen. They don't like to be called emo (and good thing to, emo is horrid) but they are. You should buy their CD.
  8. Download any song that isn't on "Indestructible". I suggest Maxwell Murder, Radio, Timebomb, Let Me Go, Cranefist, Hyena, Trenches.... anything really that isn't on Indestructible. What a shitty CD...
  9. Haha, so since: 1. They have an amazing bassist. 2. Their guitarists and drummers aren't half bad. 3. They know how to write catchy lyrics that stick with someone. 4. They talk about things other than this President sucks or my girlfriend dumped me. 5. They could actually write a decent pop-hook for a song but never got exploited by MTV because of their record label. What band is exactely Rancid recycling? The Clash? There are similarities but the Clash never got as fast or as hard as Rancid ever got.
  10. Someone actually said Rancid suck? Bahahahahahahhahaah! You wish you could play bass as well as Matt Freeman. Juvenile/Hot Boyz, Three 6 Mafia, and that other "rap" music you listen to would make it the worse CD ever.
  11. How come shitty bands like the Strokes get so many hits but awesome bands like Opeth get so few? Democracy, that is how.
  12. Phillip Seymour Hoffman. Love Liza, Magnolia, Owning Mahoney, State & Main, The Talented Mr. Ripley, Cold Mountain... he deserves a fucking Oscar he is so good.
  13. But hold on. Did New Found Glory write this? Did The Ataris write this? No, some person probably not associated with the musical aspect of the business did it, or Fat Mike himself. And the fact alone that someone is creating a list on why a bunch of people should hate George Bush shows how this encourages conformity. "Hate George Bush, we'll even give you reasons". Hating Bush is profitable. Hating any politician is profitable. Therefore, any band can come out and say "fuck the US Government" and sell records. Not really. Most of the bands on their are conformist to what they think punk is. What would stop them from jumping on the band wagon of hating Bush? Nothing. How many political songs have the Ataris made before? How about Sum-41? And how come all of the sudden Fat Mike from NOFX hates George Bush and is involved in politics? (NEWSFLASH: $$$) Hey, I don't support Bush. In fact I hate the guy. But I think that the CD is a sham. Why not include songs like "Makeshift Patriot" (a song about September 11th) or "Hey Bobby" ('this so-called president got elected in a court-room') by Sage Francis? There are so many artists out their who belong on this CD that got left off. Artists that always are thinking about social aspects of life when making music; not when it helps build up an image.
  14. The Moor is one of my favorite songs ever. Opeth do indeed rock.
  15. Yeah, when I first heard the Dead Kennedys I thought they were wannabe's of the Sex Pistols. Little did I know... Oh, and I am the opposite concerning Crass and Descendents. Loved both bands on first listen. Another record I hated, but I believe is one hell of a record is Energy by Operation Ivy. I listened to Officer by them and hated it. Now 4 months later I am loving Operation. They rank up their with The Specials as top ska or ska influenced bands of all time.
  16. Dennis Lyxen You may not have heard of him, but he forever changed punk-rock & hardcore with the Shape of Punk To Come.
  17. Desperation by Stephen King Not Zombies, but a survival novel involving paranormal concepts.
  18. Plastic Surgery Disasters by the Dead Kennedys I am addicted to this record, but before loathed the Dead Kennedys in general.
  19. I like both parts of Disc. While I do like a lot of stuff off the early Clash records, I am just as contempt jamming out to stuff off London Calling and Combat Rock.
  20. Refused - "Songs to Fan the Flames of Discontent" The Clash - "Essential Clash"
  21. On today's rock music? The Clash : made punk-rock mainstream; plus the scene they helped popularize became the Grunge movement. Led Zeppelin : the theory listed above; every band has been affected by Zeppelin in one or another. The Kinks : made rock and roll basic, yet great. Like Led Zeppelin, a lot of bands had some sort of attachment to the Kinks. Hell, the Clash did.
  22. A date-rape game. That'd be awesome.
  23. Oh, on second thought, Social Distortion and the Descendents are good as well. Ministry are cool in my books too. I don't understand what anyone sees in Anti Flag ("GEORGE BUSH SUCKS, I HATE AMERICA") and Sum 41 ("TYPICAL REBELLION THOUGHT HERE"). Pennywise and Less than Jake are horrible, horrible groups. Why do the Ataris feel the need to express their beliefs? Didn't they cover Boys of Summer? What the hell does that have to do with politics?
  24. So do all of the bands on Rock Against Bush.
  25. Pennywise and Less than Jake need to be shot, ASAP. This is just typical left-wing garble. Bitch and moan about the president using vague references with no back-up. "The President sucks cock, I hate his guts". Hell, if you are going to buy something like that go and buy "Nevermind the Bullocks Here Comes the Sex Pistols" and replace "God Save the Queen" with "God Save George Bush". Same thing, different time.
