  1. Apparently he is dying. Apparently he isn't dying. All I know is, I'll still listen to Gimmie Gimmie Shock Treatment regardless.
  2. Hahahahaha. Wow, you don't realize how ignorant you came across as right there. I say, if the Beastie Boys are incorporating different types of song writing in their songs and adding it to rap, they are doing a much better job than Eminem. They expand the genre while Eminem rhymes become boring because he never expands what he does. He never evolves. The Beastie Boys are evolving genres, evolving labels and expaning. And that is essentially the point of music.

    Pulp Fiction

I watched it at a very young age (maybe 10 or so) Hated it. I watched it an older age (15). Absoutely loved it.
  4. I've been a fan of Alexisonfire for a very long time. And I like their new album. Defintely not a "sell-out" album. I would call them sell-outs if they stopped screaming and sounded like Sum 41, Simple Plan, Good Charlotte, etc. But they are still something that is very different for a mainstream audience.
  5. I accidently miscalled a metaphor, and here I am wanting to be an English major. I disagree that Eminem attacking the Beastie Boys would be career suicide. Lets just see how many people flock out to buy the new album and than we can make a judge as to how much the Beastie Boys can still draw. But they have been away from the mainstream a very, very long time.
  6. "They want to see rappers embarass each other with personal attacks and using metaphors, similes, polysyllabic rhymes, multis, internals etc. etc." You. "Your rhymes are fake like a Canal street watch You're hearing me and it's like "Oh my God it's Sasquatch" That is a metaphor right there. And who develops a "diss track criteria"? The point of a diss track is to diss your opponent, and I do believe the Beastie Boys do a valid job of dissing Eminem. I'd much rather hear say someone is fake like a Canal street watch rather than hear Eminem diss black girls because he got dumped by one.
  7. Why would The Beasties attack Eminem? Well, I do remember a song the Beastie Boys wrote; "Homophobics ain't alright, If you learn to love you might love life." I love the album. Every song is strong and it shows that they can still seem to grow up and alter their sound throughout the years, keeping up with the times.
  8. They are a generic radio band; all of their songs sound the same.
  9. Chances are if they didn't scream, everyone would hate them. If they didn't scream, they'd sound like everyone else.
  10. Jet's CD. Who don't they rip-off?
  11. You missed the part where they were going to make fun of it. Kids at my school listen to the Ataris and Simple Plan yet hate Alexisonfire. Bunch of idiot kids.
  12. Bad Religion changes from album to album. They release 50% good, 50% shit. I would have loved to see Punks vs. Psychobilly, probably more-so than this year of the Warped Tour. But Canada is a hole in the ground; so we don't get Ozzfest or P vs. P.
  13. 0/100 This is horrible. Just horrible. Listen to Huggy Bear. Do it.
  14. Wow. Weird, they are on a compilation by a Canadian ska-label. The world is weird. Warped Tour this year might be as good as last year, but it'll be tough. Crowd surfing to Barroom Heroes was simply amazing.
  15. July 17th - EXAM... July 25th - In Paris. I live in Toronto; but I'd make the drive to see Streetlight Manifesto. Not Big Fish though.
  16. Alexisonfire Atmosphere Bad Religion Big D and the Kids (only because they are Canadian) Bouncing Souls The Casualites Crowned Kings (only because they are Canadian) Flogging Molly The (International) Noise Conspiracy Jersey Lars and the Bastards Planet Smashers (only because they are Canadian) I'll be checking out these bands. The rest, snoozefest.
  17. Basically any of the bands on Burning Heart are either Swedish or from the region. Raised Fist are a bad-ass band. The (International) Noise Conspiracy are good. I wouldn't call them great, but some songs (Bigger Cages, Longer Chains) borderline the excellent status.
  18. Same shit, different name. I don't have a problem with re-release (heck, you can pick up a knock-off of Refused by buying The Used or Thrice) I just want to know why all of the sudden. They did only sell 90,000 at first. Heck, I could care less about the re-release as I have everyone of their off Epitaph labels.
  19. Okay, so why the hell is Epitaph trying to cash in on Refused now? It has been 6 years since their demise and one of the greatest punk records of all time, The Shape of Punk To Come. If you don't know who Refused are, hang your head in shame. They are anarcherist from Sweden who made some kick ass hardcore music. They broke all sorts of barriers within the genre, using violins, techno-beats and wrote epic, 8 minute songs. They should have revolutionized punk-rock music, but unfortunally broke-up. Now Epitaph Record's is releasing a DVD plus reissuing The Shape of Punk To Come, Songs to Fan the Flames of Discontent and the EP Collection. So why all of the sudden? My guess is that all of these kids who listen to the Used, Thrice and all of that other shit learned that they were just copying off a true hardcore band; Refused. Oh, and if you don't know who they are, check out the New Noise, Summerholidays vs. Punk Routine, Tanhauser Derive, Rather be Dead, Lets Go Crazy, Return to the Closet... any of their songs are great.
  20. Who cares? Fighting about who is better Evanscene or Creed is pointless. Both bands are bland radio bands who don't deserve fame, but a kick in the teeth. Real and true fans of rock and roll can rejoice since this piece of shit is over and done with.
  21. Ben Harper. Empowering and strong and at times it is very relaxing.

    80s Music

    2 words: Dead Kennedys
  23. Hopefully both bands die in a horrible plane-crash.
  24. Favorite genres : Ska, Hip-Hop, 77UK, 80's Hardcore, Screamcore, Disco, Rap.
