  1. Yeah the CD is fantastic. Every song is great, the only one i'm not a huge fan of is #12 - The Willing Well I: Fuel For The Feeding End, I feel that it kind of drags on but it's still solid. I was worried when I bought concert tickets to go see them in November because they'd most likely be playing alot of new material and incase I didn't like the new stuff. I am no longer worried. For favourite songs i'd have to say: 1) The Suffering 2) Ten Speed (Of God's Blood & Burial) 3) Wake Up and Apollo I: The Writing Writer (Yeah I can't choose they both are awesome).
  2. AFI's "Sing The Sorrow" ($7.99 marked down from $18.99, can't beat that deal) Coheed & Cambria's "Good Apollo, I'm Burning Star IV: Volume 1 - From Fear Through The Eyes of Madness" (only $11.99)
  3. Thrice was a band that I really though were kind of crappy after I heard "Send Me An Angel" by them. Now I've heard a good deal of them and they are awesome. "All That's Left", "Stare At The Sun", "The Artist In The Ambulance", "To Awake & Avenge The Dead" and "Under A Killing Moon" are all kick ass songs.
  4. I'm surprised Clawson hasn't taken a dig at me yet. If your wondering, yes I have been crying in the corner for the past day and a half Stevens was my favourite player ever, he's the one who really got me following the Devils after I seen him nearly kill Kozlov in '95 (and no comment on the dirty hits issue *ahem*). I just loved the way he played, great captain, great team leader and in my eyes a great defenceman (though not a point scorer). I'll miss him, and it's a huge hit for the devils defence. Hopefully the new editions in McGillis & Malahkov (sp?) can somewhat make up for losing Scotty & Neidermayer. On another note, my early favourites would be Ottawa (because they've got a large chunk of their core back) and Philly (who I think got alot better with all their moves). In The West it's really a toss-up and i've got no clue who could come out of there. oh....the memories................
  5. I heard a rumor about Stevens going to Toronto on a one-year deal. While I don't really want him it would be enjoyable to laugh at your pain. ←
  6. Wow, I had missed this thread completely. 1) First off....Fuck. Neidermayer leaving really hurts for New Jersey, but it's totally understandable why he left. It's just a shame Lou couldn't bait Anahiem into a trade that brought Rob over to play with Scott. Hopefully Rafalski can step up and become the #1 D-Man that NJ needs right now. 2) The signings Of McGillis & Malakhov (Welcome Back) are good editions to the defencive core. The only thing i'm a bit weary about is Malakhov getting injured, i'm pretty sure he's been injury prone in the past. Although, not to the likes of someone named E. Lindros or Eric. L though. 3) Taking a look at their roster, they seem to have alot more grit for the upcoming season than in the past. With guys like Madden, McGillis, Oliwa, Marshall , Sean Brown & Darren Langdon, they could potentially be alot "scrappier" so to speak. Lets just hope the almighty god that is Scott Stevens decides to re-sign, would be nice to have him back, espcially after the concussion he had in the last season. EDIT: On another note, good to see that The Flames re-signed Kiprusoff (Spelt from memory) to a new contract.

    Coheed and Cambria

Yeah they are one of my favourite bands right now. I was going to go see them at Edgefest but couldn't due to some personal reasons. Both "Second Stage Turbine Blade" & "In Keeping Secrects of Silent Earth: 3" are really good, you'll be happy with them i'd think. My favourite songs would probably be "Blood Red Summer", "Three Evils (Embodied In Love & Shadow)", "A Favour House Atlantic" and "Cuts Marked In The March Of Men". Four really good songs right there. Can't wait for their new CD too come out aswell, the anticipation is growing.
  8. In Keeping Secrects Of Silent Earth: 3 - Coheed & Cambria : Would've had bought it sooner but had some other higher priority things to buy first. I'd say, probably one of the best overall CD's I own. Every song on the album is good (specifically "Blood Red Summer", "A Favour House Atlantic" & "Three Evils") and I can't thank IAceI enough for turning me on to them back in like November. The Official M.I.C (Make It Count) Mixtape - Royce Da 5'9 : Can't say it's the best album that Royce has put out, but it's still solid. "Buzzin'" is a great way to get the disc started and there are several other good songs on it. A definate pick up for any Royce fans but I wouldn't put it up there with his previous two attempts.
  9. "Blood Brothers" by Iron Maiden "Attenzione (Jens O. Remix) by DJ Flashrider (Although House music is known to be long)

These are usually the CD's I'll listen all the way through to. - "Breath From Another" by Esthero - "Make Yourself" by Incubus - "Black On Both Sides" by Mos Def - "Illmatic" by Nas - "Quality" by Talib Kweli - "Famous, Rich & Beautiful" by The Philosopher Kings

    Black Eyed Peas

Elephunk was a disapointment compaired to their older work. "Joints & Jams" is a pretty solid song and any of the stuff they've done with Esthero has been good too. Although I do like "Where Is The Love".
  12. Royce Da 5'9 - Rock City (Version 2.0)
  13. Without A Paddle: 7.5/10 Some really good jokes in this one, the real problem I had was I hated when Matthew Lillard's character was getting all "Deep", it seemed a bit overdone in past movies. Dax Sheppard & Seth Green were hillarious, and Lillard has a did a solid job. Friday Night Lights: 7/10 Hardly "The Greatest Sports Movie Ever Made" but a good movie none the less. What happened with Boobie Miles was pretty overdone aswell, but I loved the interaction with him and his teammates, he really plays the "Cocky Star Player" roll really well. Also the drunk father/son scenes were good aswell. One of my favourite Billy Bob movies aswell.
  14. Reflection Eternal - DJ Hi-Tek & Talib Kweli The New Danger - Mos Def
  15. *Ahem* The Roots - Tipping Point Go and buy it. ←
  16. No Specific Order: That Girl by Esthero A Better Life by Ian Pooley & Esthero Uprise by Mathematik Travellin' Man by DJ Honda & Mos Def Umi Says by Mos Def I Get High by Blackstar Respiration by Blackstar & Common The Light by Common Electric Relaxation by ATCQ Award Tour by ATCQ I'm The King by Royce Da 5'9 Hip Hop by Royce Da 5'9 Love by Musiq (Soulchild) Real Muthafuckin' G's by Easy E Superstar Pt. Zero by K-OS Sour Girl by Stone Temple Pilots Don't Speak by No Doubt Sunday Morning by No Doubt Stellar by Incubus Pardon Me by Incubus
  17. I,Robot: 8/10 I was really expecting a mediocre and disapointing movie (because of what i'd heard from friends) but i thought this was really good. I'm not sure what it was about this movie that made me like it so much but one thing is i felt like Will Smith showed alot more maturity and his acting was 'grown up'.

    CSI marathon

I watched it pretty much all Monday but i've only been watching bits and pieces seeing that i've been back at school. The one with the Kamakazie Grannie last night was good. I laughed at Clawson who's a huge CSI fan for missing most of the marathon. Btw, Kou can suck my balls. Law & Order > him. GhostMachine agrees L&O is the "shiznit".
  21. I listened to some of their songs including 'So Cold' and I really liked them. I'd buy some of their stuff.
  22. I'm guessing Marvin's out saturday. Everybody wants him gone, but i hope somehow he can stay in. I like how he just lets it all hang out, as you could see in his conversation with Adria while she was leaving.
