  1. No offence TA, but wtf? Thought TCO would be the run away winner in this group. Suppose I don't feel so bad now for being hammered earlier.
  2. Yeah that own goal of mine was obscene. I would have been proud of a header like that if it were in the other end, that's how bad it was. I thought seeing as how I was heading toward the goal, it made more sense to try and head it out for a corner rather than try and head it backwards where it would just have probably dropped at Drogba's feet. I was doomed either way. >_< The last two games I've been on edge and lost. I'll have to have a brandy before my next one
  3. So I could unlock all the songs on Easy but I would just have to keep playing the same songs over and over in order to gain enough fans? I think I'll end up trying to get them unlocked through Solo tour instead. I just wanna play something other than the 15 odd songs you start with. :/ edit: Yay for unlocking Foo Fighters and Killers songs. Sooo much easier using the linear solo tour.
  4. AS Roma 0 - 3 Chelsea (AJ) - (Bluebirds) 10/01/09 @ The Stadio Olympico P. Mexes (CHE - OG) '12 F. Lampard (CHE) '47 D. Drogba (CHE) '68 Match Report Roma were unable to take advantage of their first home game in the tournament at the Stadio Olympico. Their nerves visibly shot very early on as a Chelsea cross came into the box and Mexes who had Drogba well beaten in the air headed ridiculously into his own net past a stunned Doni. The early advantage made the game comfortable for Chelsea and from then on Roma were on the defensive, only able to attack on the counter. No other major incidents in the first half other than a yellow card just before half time for Frank Lampard for a late tackle in midfield. Any hopes of a second half comeback were dashed just two minutes after the restart with a superb ball played to Lampard on the edge of the box who turned the defender with ease and released a blistering shot from just inside the penalty area. A number of times Drogba found himself through on goal but his shots either found the advancing keeper's gloves or the post on one occasion. Finally he was able to drive a shot under the keeper on the '68 minute. AS Roma, who's only concern now is damage control, found a way into the Chelsea box late on and the manager certainly thought there could have been a penalty when the ball dropped at Perotta's feet and he was knocked off balance by the central Chelsea defender. The ball skidded away safely into Cech's grasp. Roma's attack force had an extremely poor outing. Every attempt Totti made to unleash one of his thunderbolts he was closed down very quickly and blocked. Vucinic on the other hand may as well not even been on the pitch. His contribution was small if non-existant. Despite the first goal being a complete gift, Chelsea proved they were worth the victory. 7 shots on target in comparison to Roma's 1 and two very well executed goals. 5. Can someone just clear up something for me. Can you still unlock songs on RB1 by playing on Easy on the Band World Tour? I read one thing that said you don't unlock as many on Easy as you do Medium (which would make sense) yet other places say you can only unlock songs on Medium+ My drummer (the girlfriend) and I (being complete and total RB rookies) are trying to play through on Medium to be able to unlock more stuff but we're running into trouble (mainly me having to use Overdrive to save her fairly often).
  6. Sorry I missed you Bluebirds. Was playing Rock Band all night :$ Is tonight about/after 11 any good for you? Should be back home by then. edit: Or I'm in for the next few hours if you're about now.
  7. I was wondering that too, but I used my initiative, pressed Ctrl + T and navigated to the front page of Sky Sports football website. Here, I'll save you the hassle: http://www.skysports.com/story/0,19528,11095_4770324,00.html It's all a load of nonsense if you ask me. They should just put their handbags down and concentrate on managing their football teams.

I've only ever quit during an online match once and that was unranked vs Chelsea when my opponent subbed Lampard and Drogba in the 8th minute for Created Player 1 and Created Player 2 who were both around 7 feet tall, as graceful as Darcy Bussell and as fast and powerful as Usain Bolt. What on earth is the point. Other than to prove, I suppose, that if you're gonna play unranked prepare to play against mostly idiots.
  9. So after Christmas and recently also spoiling myself. I now have upgraded to a 320gb PS3, and collected a wireless gaming rocker, charging stand for my 2 controllers, bd/dvd remote, Rock band and all the instruments. Any other must-have (or unecessary but awesome) accessories out there?
  10. Got my Rock Band in the post earlier today. Only got to play on it for an hour before work but I'm already hooked! This is a major step for someone who's disc drive is normally never vacated by FIFA. I vow to have unlocked Enter Sandman by the end of Friday night
  11. FAO Bluebirds: I'm on my last nightshift for the week tonight. Will be up from dinner time today (Friday) and available just about any time til Sunday afternoon. Late on a night is best for me but I don't mind. Think I might actually still need to add you to my friends list.

Think this could be them but I'm not 100% sure. I have had the "win 25 games with your Be a Pro team" one pop up in the last few days so I know they exist.
  13. Linky? That sounds exactly like something I could do with. I'm not sure which one or where I'm getting it from yet, but here's a few on Amazon: http://www.amazon.co.uk/s/ref=nb_ss_w_h_?u...amp;x=0&y=0 The hard drive I got was this one.
  14. My warranty just expired too, but as far as I'm aware changing the HD does not void it anyway. Sony have instructions on how to change the HD on their help sites and in the PS3 manual. If anyone's thinking of upgrading and still inside their warranty. If anything goes wrong you can always put the old HD back in before you send it off. There aren't any seals to break when you take the drive out or anything. edit: Also, for about £10 you can buy an enclosure to put your old PS3 hard drive in which converts it into an external USB hard drive. So that's getting put to use too and I can use that if I ever need to back up important stuff off my 320gb.
  15. Stuck my new hard-drive in. My biggest worry was that the screws were gonna be a pain in the arse to take off but I managed it with a screwdriver set I got out of a Christmas cracker Took 15 mins to back up 7gb worth of saved games/game data to my 8gb stick, about 5 mins to swap the hard drive and I've currently got about 12 of 15 minutes left of the data being restored. Checked the system info just before I started to restore and it claims I have 263/298gb of space. Which is a little sucky. When my 40gb HD was new I had 37/40gb space. Why does the PS3 need so much bloody room all of a sudden. Still, glad I got the 320gb as I intend on downloading a lot of Rock Band DLC along with transferring my DivX films from my computer and other junk.
  16. There are A LOT of differing views, but from what I gather there is absolutely no limit on the capacity. Naturally the hard drive has to be a 2.5" SATA drive to fit and be compatible and ideally be 5400rpm which is best suited to the PS3. People have fitted 7200rpm drives and had no problems but it's obvious that sticking to the safe option would be best. Thought I'd have my new hard-drive delivered today but no sign of it I'd backed up everything on my stick already too.
  17. SSN is reporting that Middlesbrough have rejected Stewart Downing's transfer request. So, wtf happens now?
  18. Bah, I thought I remembered it being a defender, because it was unusual. I don't see you putting up any match report.
  19. (TCO) Manchester City 1 - 0 AS Roma (AJ) 05/01/09 @ The City of Manchester Stadium Robinho (MC) '42 Match Report Manchester City welcome the Italian visitors as both teams are keen to continue their good starts to the competition. The match kicks off and City show their intent immediately, making full use of their quick wingers coming inside to thread the strikers through. Fortunately for Roma their defence are alert and make several interceptions stabbing the ball back to 'keeper Doni. Both teams closed each other's attacks down very quickly and it makes for a tight affair. City find a breakthrough just before halftime when Robinho cuts inside and fires home from just inside the penalty area. In the second half Roma attempt to bite back and despite looking particularly threatening on the counter, their good buildup play is let down by poor finishing. Their best chance arguably came when Totti nipped past two defenders and launched a shot from outside the box but it was too hard and over the bar. In the dying minutes Vucinic thought he was through on goal from a lobbed pass but it's hooked away by the City defender. A very closely contested game in which City just about deserved the win. Man of the Match goes to Michael Johnson for his stellar defensive display. Link to EAFootballWorld page for proof
  20. I don't think you can blame the linesman too much for not spotting that Welbeck was offside for the first goal. The penalty decision was a bit iffy though. The replays were inconclusive though, it looked to me that it hit him on the very top of the arm, but the player and commentator were convinced it was on the head. He shouldn't have raised his arm like that either way. As for the sending off, I didn't think it was too bad at first but on seeing the replay it looked a right nasty tackle. You can't go stabbing into a tackle studs first like that. Gotta give props to Davis. Granted he let in 3 goals but he did make some excellent saves. edit: Oh yeah, and I was really hoping Anderson would get off the mark. From the highlights he was looking really good for a goal, but still he hasn't got one yet.
  21. I've ordered myself a 320gb hard drive. I'll report back on how installing it into the PS3 went later in the week if anyone's interested.
  22. I can get on late tonight too. Give me a time and I'll try and get on. Well I wanted to watch MOTD so that finishes just after midnight I think. If that's too late for you I can always skip it and play from 11ish.
  23. FAO: TCO I can be online late tonight, otherwise tomorrow afternoon before 6, or Tues/Weds afternoon between around 4-6. I'm a bit constricted as I'm back on nights tomorrow night. Hence being up late tonight, adjusting.
  24. Just admit it, you've been wardriving around Cardiff.
