So seeing as how I've been knocked out the latest PS3 FIFA 09 league and my brother has loaned out his copy of Burnout I'm back on Uncharted. Just started a game on Hard mode having only played on Easy before (yikes) and just entering the fourth chapter that will be the first test really. I've been trying out the technique I read about where you don't use cover and shoot rather just hide behind cover manually and aim over the shoulder. Field of vision is just as good and you don't show yourself to enemies as much as popping out of cover. I've already noticed in Hard mode that the enemies are far more ruthless. If you take your eyes off them for a second they'll be right on you shooting the hell out of you. Is it too late to make an Uncharted thread? >_> Think there's only me and possibly Baddar playing it. edit: Let's go for it, there's always discussion to be had on the second one due out the end of the year.

Are you playing sandbox stylee or attempting the scenarios? Depending on what kind of scenario it is you'll want to go about it slightly differently. I prefer the parks where you make money on every ride rather than just entrance fees but either way I'd always do something like: 1. Delete a section of path near the entrance and place an information centre there and pave around it (so guests practically walk straight towards it and almost always buy a map, umbrella, etc). That stops them getting lost and gets you cash. 2. If the park already has a lot of paving, block off the vast majority by deleting parts of the path or putting no entry signs up. You can just extend as your park grows and this stops people wandering around aimlessly miles away from the attractions. 3. Build a lot of small rides, merry-go-round, twister, etc. Use normal funding on your research to get more thrill rides like the vertical launch and the inverted swinging ship. They're more popular than dull rides like the ferris wheel. 4. Dot a couple of shops here and there and first aid huts near the exits of any intense rides. 5. Always keep on top of your handymen and use the zone feature so they're not working on top of each other or wandering around the opposite side of the park. 6. With rides like the go karts that get insanely long queues. Stick an entertainer in the queue and zone them there to keep guests happy. 7. Try not to go overboard and build huge coasters from the get go and get your loan paid off as fast as possible. 8. If you're doing a scenario that requires a certain amount of guests and you're almost out of time, utilize the offers to bring more guests in quickly. And I'm gonna stop there for now else I could go on talking about this game for hours. I do REALLY want to play it now >_< I have fond memories of winning a few roller coaster design tournaments back in the day.

It might seem worse in that respect but I don't think incidents should be looked at with the title race (or relegation?) in mind. They should surely just be judged individually as they would be in any other game. Your opinion that all red cards deserve 3 match bans can be just as ludicrous as you think the current 1 match ban is. Someone could be given two silly yellow cards like over-celebrating or not standing far back enough in a wall. Surely they're not deserving of a 3 match ban?

Should've been calmer than I was when I had the advantage but I was more relaxed when I was 3-0 down since the pressure of keeping a clean sheet was long gone by then.

I'm gonna repeat a post I made over at ps3trophies in reply to your spoilers: Spoiler: Click here to viewI thought it was an excellent twist and they teased it very well (the dead guy in the jungle having being 'chewed on' and the glimpse you get when you go underground with Elena). Having only played the demo beforehand I bought the game as I was familar with the taking cover and picking off enemies approach that I'd used in GTA, I wasn't really ready to take on charging mutants that couldn't be taken down in this way or fought hand-to-hand. (I love how they're smart enough to run away when you try to climb out of their way in the generator room and shoot them from the ledges too). It really took me out of my comfort zone which I think is definitely a good thing. Had the game been all mutants I probably wouldn't have bought it, but similarly I was getting tired of the waves of pirates so I think they got the balance spot on. Plus I thought it was really badass toward the end fighting your way through all the armored guys who were also being attacked. It was nice to see the enemy having some problems too, in a Jurassic Park kind of way. So yeah, I cannot give this game enough praise. I just wish I'd bought it sooner. Having said that I wouldn't have got it for £8 then. Bargain of the century or what? Glad Sony have got their act together with the trophy cards but they don't look too great. If only I could use the auto-updating one but with the mini-card I have in my sig at the moment. I found the rest of the treasures I needed in my second run through. Now all I have left trophy-wise is to complete the game on Normal, Hard and Crushing. I'm gonna give myself an Uncharted break before I go back and attempt it on Hard straight away.

Just watching Goals on Sunday and saw that dive by Pedersen. Absolutely disgusting is all I can say about it. Does anybody else think they shouldn't have guests on shows like this and MotD that are active Premier League managers? Allardyce just seems unprofessional to be spending his Sunday morning sat slagging his own team off with Chris Kamara.

Troll much? Fookin' hell, when even Matt says that you know something's wrong with the list. You should've really just given a few examples in your post and then offered up your own opinion. Making a list and forcing people to choose is just asking for arguments. Especially when you omit such a big team like Utd.

I'm fairly sure it's designed so that you're supposed to be able to use any, yeah. We have a madcatz one which is pretty piss poor but I've heard nothing but good things about these Jabra mobile phone ones people use.

Must say we were so shit we could of been passed off as Leeds (Y) I actually don't care if Leeds lose 50-0 today, that has made my day. I reckon you're a closet Utd fan really. You know like how in playgrounds little boys and girls pick on the people they actually like.

I keep banging on about this game cause I've only played it recently... but I'm gonna have to mention Uncharted again It's on par with movie scores. Every part of it is just epic.

Just bought this hard drive enclosure for my old 40GB PS3 hard drive. Case has that nice soft-touch feel to it and unlike a few others I've read about the HD is dead easy to put in place and the little magnetic screwdriver you get with it is handy. Only tricky part is formatting the drive and setting it up as fat32 which I managed with no fuss with some third party software (swissknife) which isn't alluded to in the little instruction booklet but 100% necessary for the PS3 to recognise it. So if you've upgraded your hard drive like I have it's well worth having to make use of your old one.

Is this dead? Perhaps we could get second legs played, and those that were struggling try to arrange a time where they can play both home and away legs together.

Whaaaat? You mean I don't have to deselect the higher resolutions in the display settings now? Having said that, I've taken to just transferring avi files to my PS3 via usb stick rather than burning to discs anyway.

I just checked the one I can remember off the top of my head (Mehmet Topuz) and yeah... he does wear the number 66 shirt. Still, if I had the choice I'd make him wear something more sensible. I think the defender is Rolando, although can't check his nationality to track him down at the minute.

That's why I get so wound up with EA bringing in new features year after year. I understand they have to introduce new things to keep things fresh and giving more reasons to buy the latest game and some things are awesome (Be A Pro) but other times it's infuriating when they bring in features like that 'off-the-ball' thing a few seasons ago that was useless and fail to concentrate on improving the main modes that are lacking in so many ways as AD mentioned earlier on. That squad number thing is still terrible for me. I have two midfielders with numbers 66 and 82 and a defender with the number 98. :/ Definitely don't want anything as in depth as FM as I prefer playing FIFA anyways but it isn't too much to ask just to iron out a couple little things.

Any news on these last couple fixtures guys? It's been ages.

Why didn't I think of this. I downloaded my first video ages ago but never thought to re-upload to youtube. Then again I've not had anything happen recently worthy of replacing one of my 5 videos I have up. That and I can't be arsed to wait mid-game either. As for bogey teams the only one I can think of is Middlesbrough in my Manager Mode but that was because it was a league winning team that I had assembled over 2 years before I left for Fulham. Think I lost to them twice and drew 0-0 before I finally beat them 3-0 or something. During the second half of a season I always check to see if I've already beaten who I'm playing or not. I like to at least take 3 points off every team each season.

I actually thought you got MS points via achievements and were able to spend them on stuff. Admittedly, I should've researched before making that comment. I just thought the achievement system was more rewarding. Shows how much I know

I'm pleased about this news, I just wish they'd make trophies worthwhile rewards like the X-box achievements.

I'd take Hargreaves (or Scholes, Giggs or Fletcher from the subs list) over Anderson at the moment. Not saying Anderson is no good, but he's still a bit green in comparison. edit: and yeah, Hargreaves had a knee operation in January that puts him out for the rest of the season.
