Well, he's been there two years. And as I said, as soon as Parcells took the job in Miami, he all but said he didn't want Beck to lead the team. I'm not denying he isn't an excellent evaluator of talent. I know he is. But Beck was hardly given any time to prove his worth (2nd round pick just a couple years ago). I rolled my eyes, and I still feel it's deserved, because this was something that was bound to happen from the day Parcells took over.

Why roll your eyes? They signed Chad Pennington, they drafted Chad Henne to eventually take over the team. Oh I forgot, this is pee-wee where everyone should get equal chances. Not saying it's "pee wee" by any means, but way to get sassy for no reason whatsoever. Before Parcells came in, Beck was drafted. When Parcells came in, he let it be known that he wanted his team and his own quarterback, which is fine, because he actually is really turning them around. But the guy wasn't given a fair shot in his short tenure there, was my point. As you said, they signed Pennington, and drafted Henne, and he was pushed to the side without them really giving him a reason to. That's my feelings on the subject. And THAT's why I rolled my eyes. Come on, Chase, you seem to have been around long enough to know not to buy into what draftee's say about themselves. Of course they're going to say stuff like that, so other teams think they have to jump after him earlier than they want, if they want him. That's probably just the annual draft build-up bullshit. I'm not saying the Steelers aren't interested, but you can't take what any of these kids say regarding their draft position seriously.

Jay Cutler's new best friend, Orlando Pace, has signed with the Bears.

I have to admit, though I would have loved to still have Cutler, that's not too bad of a trade. I really wish Cutler had just stayed, but he wanted out. I would never have guessed we'd get two first rounders, a third rounder, and neckbeard for him. Use Orton for a couple years, use the extra picks on defense and we may not be as bad off as expected.
