I wouldn't have turned Edge down. Not after Moreno's 20 carries for 50 yards against the damn Bengals.

I had a shifty-eyed smiley in there that didn't show up, as I was just goofing. I think I remember being told not to pick up Free Agents until something was figured out for fairness, though, I could be imagining that.

I'm actually looking to unload Brandon Marshall to someone for draft picks. But not to a guy that just raided free agency.

Played my first game. Right off the bat, Palmer was throwing all over me, and I assumed I was screwed. But I tinkered with the defense and we started putting pressure on him, and he struggled the rest of the game. Expected a close one, but we managed to win 27-10. Bengals down, Browns are next. I'm really being tested here at the start of the season.

Fairly certain that won't make the cripple man feel better. The NFL is all about protecting it's players. If they get rid of the fair-catch, they're just begging for more injuries.

That's because players in the NFL are usually much faster than the CFL players. So they get to the punt returner quicker. I see no problem to the fair-catch, because even if you make a 5-yard rule, someone is going to end up not doing it and possibly cripple a guy.

I'm ready to take my spot as head coach of the Broncos. So whenever you get a chance, Dragsy, send me an invite. I'll accept it as soon as I get home. I'm assuming games have started? Are you guys still in Week One?

The thing I like most about PS3 is the online is free. But all of my friends are on Xbox Live, so that renders that pointless. If a game is on both platforms (most recently Madden 10), I'll get it on the 360, because I play mainly online. It's a matter of if there is a particular list of games you want for the PS3, if there isn't, it's not worth it. I got my PS3, because a friend bought it, hated it, and basically gave it to me. If it weren't for that, I'd be completely happy with my 360.

I don't know what any of that means.

May as well start the season without me, as Microsoft still has my 360.

Has anyone made it to the draft yet in their Franchise? Every year, the players in the draft are horrible, and I swear I read something somewhere saying they actually made an effort to put in decent rookies this year.

I wasn't paying attention to any of the pre-debut hype for Fable 2, and I never played the first one. But I loved Fable 2 and played the Hell out of it. Fable 3 will be bought on release date and I will lose several months in it, as well.

You can be the Jets, Essa. Because something tells me you live about a 30-minute walk from their stadium, too.

I sent my 360 off today, so woohoo! I'll have it back shortly. Question about the online franchise, though. If two people are online at the same time, but don't play until Week Seven, can they play their game and get that over with? Or is the schedule set in stone?

Just a heads up, Dragsy, that my 360 is being sent to Microsoft for the RRoD. Hopefully I can just join once you start the season, but if not, I'll catch on next time. Lame.

I've yet to get this, seeing that my 360 red-ringed on frickin' Thursday night. But I love hearing that people aren't running for 200 yards every game. I always hated that about Madden. I could have a 58-rated running back and easily turn him into a thousand yard rusher on the old Madden games. Now, maybe I'll actually have to invest some time and effort in my line and running back.

I've been to countless football, baseball, and hockey games over the years. My most memorable one is when my best friend's father won tickets for the Super Bowl. He, my best friend, myself, and my father all went. It was Super Bowl XXXVI when the Patriots dynasty began by beating the Greatest Show on Turf. Easily one of the greatest experiences of my life, and I don't even like either of those teams.

Michael Vick, if in the form that he was, could be a very, very good signing for the Eagles. I'm curious as to how he'll be after two years away from the league, though. Granted, none with the talent Vick has, but we've seen players miss a year or so for various reasons before and they never made any kind of impact after that (looking at you Mike Williams). He's been lifting and staying in shape, but that's not the same as being in football shape. I wonder how his body will react when he's hit for real for the first time. Should be interesting over the next month or so, that's for sure.
