  1. Insomnia was great. Back in my younger years I preferred DeNiro, watching Taxi Driver is like getting an acting lesson from the great man. However, Al Pacino has put up some of the greatest roles in film history, most notably Michael Corleone (Godfather I & II), Tony Montana (Scarface), Sonny Wortzik (Dog Day Afternoon), Carlito Brigante (Carlito's Way), Lefty Ruggiero (Donnie Brasco)....Gah the guy's a genius. And for that reason he is better than DeNiro. However in my opinion , DeNiro is also one of the top 5 actors in the world, ever......
  2. I've never feared a movie more. It IS gonna be poor.
  3. Gah Harold And Maude. That's my wife's favourite film and she keeps trying to force me to watch it again. *shudders* Good call on Magnolia though.
  4. Aphex Twin "Windowlicker" Aphex Twin "To Cure A Weakling Child" Bjork "Hunter" Bjork "5 Years" Bjork "Joga" Beethoven "9th Symphony" Wagner "Ride Of The Valkyries" Carl Orff "Carmina Burana" Muse "Apocalypse Please" Muse "Muscle Museum" Radiohead "The National Anthem" Underworld "Born Slippy" Chemical Brothers "Hey Boy Hey Girl" Massive Attack "Angel" Massive Attack "Teardrop" Madness "Baggy Trousers" Fischerspooner "Emerge" Blondie "Call Me" Aqualung "Strange And Beautiful" Gary Numan "Are Friends Electric"
  5. Now this is what ah'm talkin' bout! I have my top 70 saved on my computer so getting you my top 10 won't be difficult. In order. 1. Zatoichi 2. Fight Club 3. Amelie 4. Battle Royale 5. Croupier 6. Alien 7. Kill Bill vol1 8. Apocalypse Now 9. Memento 10. Scarface
  6. I would've J ooky baby but for me each of these groups have made a larger number of quality albums. I was thinking about Goldfrapp but couldn't put them a head of any of my other choices.
  7. In no order: Aphex Twin Chemical Brothers Autechre Muse Kraftwerk Bjork Radiohead Add N To (X) David Bowie Massive Attack
  8. I saw that...And the picture of alf. If she looks like alf then yes. She is hot.
  9. Yeah Switchfoot are a christian group. Groups like POD a rea group of Christians playing mainst ream music. A couple of Linkin Park are Christians as well apparantly. Being a Christian myself I've heard all sorts of rumours though I don't particularly like many "Christian Rock" acts. Relient K are pretty groovy though. I've got some mates who are Christians and play in 'normal' groups. This doesn't make the group Christian, it just means there are some Christians and some 'non-Christians' in it. Ultimately, if the music has a distinct Christian message then it's Christian Rock. If it's a group of Christians playing together without the message, or one, two or three Christians in a 'non-Christian' group. Then it's not.
  10. Albums that totally blew me away... Hmmm so few so few.... The greatest album ever made is "Homogenic" by Bjork "Light And Magic" by Ladytron is pretty special I think "Absolution" by Muse "Mezzanine" by Massive Attack the chilled out disc in "26 Mixes For Cash" by Aphex Twin "The Fat Of The Land" by The Prodigy "Surrender" by Chemical Brothers
  11. Yes I am watching. She is meh. Two dudes are coooool. The guy with the goatee and glasses who is the director's assistant it proper uber-cool in an alternative stylee (and my wife says he's the most attractive of the lot) And the Asian guy who has a PhD at the age of 21 and talked about broccolli is smooth and pretty good looking. Everyone else is a loser, especially those who think they're good looking.
  12. Aphex Twin then Muse I believe Though I've got a lot of Prodigy and Chemical Brothers.
  13. Shrek 2: 8/10 Good and amusing with laugh out loud moments but parts for me missed the mark and it wasn't so "close to the bone" as it wasin Shrek 1. Worth watching though! A Knights Tale: 7.5/10 I can't help but enjoy this film. Makes me laugh every time I watch it, really cheesy and feel-good but enjoyable and honest with some good camera work and a twist of midlle-ages with modern. Capricorn One: 8.5/10 This is always on after midnight but I always watch it anyways. A conspiracy film about a mission to Mars which the top bods at NASA know they don't have the technology for so send off an unmanned rocket and use the three astronauts to fake film from inside the capsule and film the Mars landings in a studio. Unfortunately the rocket explodes on it's way back to Earth and the three men are officially dead. So the government have to track down and kill the three astronauts who escape across a desert. Food for thought with a great plot.....And OJ Simpson! Saturdays are great for watching films. One cinema, one video and one on TV.
  14. Blues Brothers: 8.5/10 Seriously funny, great soundtrack, fantastic car chanse scenes that revolutionised the industry as well as reminding us cchases don't have to be serious. Theatre Of Blood: 8.5/10 Vincent Price hams it up as a hammy Shakespearian actor, who driven to suicide by critical reviews of his performances in his lead roles, jumps to his death but is rescued by a bunch of down and outs and returns to kill all of the critics who cost him his chance of an award. And how does he kill them?! By using deaths from Shakespeare plays! Sensational! Setting is great, Price's command of the camera is fantastic and the shooting of the film is seriously great. And it's from 1973!
  15. Johan Cryff cos the rest of the list is unbeliveably American-oriented. There ARE other countries and sports in the world you know... for example: Maradonna (Footy) Marco Van Basten (Footy) Michael Schumacher (F1) Steve Redgrave (Record 5 time Olympic gold medalist - rowing) Jonathan Edwards (Triple Jump world record holder) Courtney Walsh (Cricket) Just a few examples..
  16. The World Is Not Enough is the worst Bond film evah. It's a mockery of the series....
  17. - The option to urinate all over Fifa 2005 or whatever the hell it's gonna be. - Making the player's jaw drop and fall in love with Pro Evo all over again. - Still losing out in sales to Fifa, because of Fifa's advertising and stupid five year olds who eat up what you tell them. LISTEN PEOPLE! Pro Evolution Soccer is the BEST football game you can GET! It's as simple as that! Most playable, best feeling, most realistic..... You want 12-11 matches then get Fifa, you want a game that FEELS like you're playing fotty, then get Pro Evo...Who cares if it's doesn't have Mark Lawrencesen commentating. Whoop de do.
  18. Gaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhh... Still 21 days until I can go out and splash my hard earned on Zatoichi on DVD. £12.99, £29.99 I don't care...I'm buying it the day i t's out cos I so so so so so wanna watch it again and own it. Takeshi Kitano....Samurais...Gangs....A blind masseur who's rock h ard with a sword.....It's getting hard to wait... So anyways to pass the time...Which DVDs (or games or CDs) have you counted down the release date for MONTHS for?
  19. I'm still in the middle of reading my way through the graphic novels as it's all money I don't have....But Mimura and Hiroki are lush in it so far... Though not as cool as Kawada.
  20. Weren't gonna be too long til I joined in! heh! Shinji is great in the book so is Sugimura. In the film Sugi is kinda made out to be a bit weak (with his GPS) but in the book he's a martial arts expert with a GPS! Who uses a broomstick to fight with and does some shooting too.... Oh and in the back of Empire Magazine this mon th (film magazine) t hey've got Classic Film Moment (as they always do) where they type out a scene from a film...and this month it's "Exploding Necklace" from Bat tle Royale! Wooomph! Empire love BR...though they reviewed BRII cos it's coming to cinemas in the UK finally...And they gave it ** cos it's lost all the dark humour and point of the first one... It's just about terrorism or something now.... HOWEVER...There is something from BRII that I might include in my BRII...Which incidentally MIGHT be starting 19th July....MAYBE....
  21. As a youngster I vaguely remember being really excited by the 80s synth-electro of the time. I then went to some strange period of life with pop..... And then.... 1995 (Age 14/15) Indie rock. 1998 (A Levels) Indie/rock/punk. 1999 (Uni 1st year) Trance *shudders * 2000 (Uni 2nd year) Hard House / Techno 2001 (Uni 3rd year) Electronica / Breakbeat 2002 (End of uni and working!) Electroclash, avant garde electronica 2003 onwards (Pretty much present) Intelligent Dance Music. Bow down to Bjork, Aphex Twin, Gary Numan, Autechre, Air, Goldfrapp, Ladytron, Chemical Brothers, Muse, Kid606, Kraftwerk, Add N To (X) and more... Oh and since 1999 I've been a huge fan of CLASSICAL MUSIC! Especially Wagner, Orff and Beethoven.
  22. Ahhhh Jooky baby now you're talking my language! Start with these: Aphex Twin Autechre Kraftwerk Kid606 Add N To (X) Air Gary Numan Ladytron Fischerspooner Adult. Meh...That's ten...Take it or leave it!
  23. Grosse Point Blank. Top John Cusack comedy action. About a hit man who goes to his high school reunion. Great 80s soundtrack.
  24. Once again Kou shows his class! Woooomph!
