  1. Castle: N/A New Girl: Perfectly alright most of the time and it has some really strong episodes. If you hate Zooey Deschanel, don't watch it. Modern Family: Again, perfectly fine. Massively overrated, but perfectly fine. The League: Really fun and crazy. Most of it is not scripted I beleive which makes it all the better. 30 Rock: Seen Season 1, which was really good. I will continue watching.
  2. Gravity Falls = Awesome. Almost made my list. Once Upon a Time is hilariously bad. QI: N/A American Horror Story: Completely nuts, and that makes it fun. Not really a quality show though. True Blood: A friend of mine wants to push this on me, I still resist.
  3. Gonna close the voting. I'll count this stuff over the next couple of days and hope that we get some kind of good list out of this. But either way, I'll report back.
  4. Burn Notice: N/A The Office: On my to do list. Happy Endings: Heard good things, heard bad things. Will probably watch it at some point. Treme: One of the best shows on televsion. I think it will get even better with rewatching and I'm sad the next mini-season is the last one. The Thick of It: Heard good things, will probably watch. EDIT: Also, who voted for Treme? GoGo, Cloudy, Josh and me? Club of Awesomeness.
  5. Arrow is pretty fun, Don't Trust The B---- in Apartment 23 can be insanely awesome and is at it's worst at least okay. Haven't seen the rest, except for the off episode of NCIS on TV and it's boring. I don't think it is or should be everyone's cup of tea. I'm just saying, that's part of the show, deeply flawed characters. Most shows like this, where the main character is an aspiring writer (or musician, actor, entertainer, whatever), the show will cast them as brilliant and misunderstood through their struggles. What I like about Girls is that it's not afraid to say the main character might not be that good. I connect to that because, well, I am that. I am with zero here that is a interesting concept, but I do not think Girls is able to pull it off at all, except for as zero mentioned with one character, Hannah's boyfriend. The problem here is that none of the other characters have at least one redeemable quality about them (and this is especially true for Hannah), they seem like people that you absolutely do not want to succeed. And it's a weird place to be when you are watching the show, that you are hoping that every character just fails all the damn time. Although not every character needs to be likeable, I think you need to have at least a character that you can identify with or understand why they are the way they are, but this is not the case for me. AND I share the whole "I wanna be a writer" dream with Hannah and it still doesn't work.
  6. Peep Show: N/A Fringe: N/A Girls: At first I really hated this show. And no, it has nothing to do with "lol, Lena Dunham is fat" because she isn't, but because I really hated the characters and didn't think the show was funny at all. And at the end of season one I still really hate the characters, but it was at least somewhat funny. Don't understand the hype and appeal here, but I'll give it another chance in season two. Revolution: We talked about this a lot here. It has potential but is mostly terrible, which is a shame. Suits: N/A
  7. Leverage: Fun show. It didn't make it in my Top 15 by a mile, but I think it would have made it in to the Top 50 if we had known that it would be cancelled, out of nostalgic reasons. Family Guy: Terrible. I never got the appeal of this show. Grimm: Watched the first couple of episodes, thought it was bad. Veep: This is a shame. One of the best new shows this year, although this isn't saying much. The L.A. Complex: GoGo is praising it and thus it's on my watchlist, but I can't comment. My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic: Seriously, what the hell? The Newsroom: Meh. Thought it started alright but has so many flaws that it's hard to take it seriously. Key and Peele: Don't know this. Glee: Thank God.
  8. Only going to start counting when voting is closed, which will be in a week or so.
  9. You can blame GoGo for this, but I have to say that this episode was absolutely terrible, similar to the last couple of episodes.
  10. That's the one. I thought the pilot was messy but also had really fun moments. Then it went down to below average, and in the last couple of weeks it's just been terrible.
  11. Also, I remember liking the pilot of The Mindy Project, but the show is reaaaaaaaaaally not good.
  12. -1. The Justified pilot is fucking fantastic.
  13. But twenty is already a lot to count .
  14. Since I was bored; I started putting together my favorite album list once again, and decided to to this thing again.Same thing as last year basically, please vote for your Top 20 favorite albums of all-time. Everything goes. Please stick to this format or a variation thereof (album title first please!); 1. Album Name - Artist 2. Album Name - Artist 3. Album Name - Artist 4. Album Name - Artist 5. Album Name - Artist .... It makes it easier for me, because there are obviously some bands that took their names from an album and vice versa. For counting up the votes, first place receives 20 points, second place 19 and so on. I'm only going to count the votes after voting is closed, so feel free to edit your list as many times as you wish. Also, please keep the bitching about other people's list to a minimum. The place for this will be the final list. I'm also going to ask a selected few of you to write a few words about Albums of the Top 10/ Top 5 (depending on activity) that you voted for. 1. The Downward Spiral - Nine Inch Nails 2. Raw Power - The Stooges 3. The Velvet Underground & Nico - The Velvet Underground 4. Halber Mensch - Einstürzende Neubauten 5. In Utero - Nirvana 6. OK Computer - Radiohead 7. Young, Loud and Snotty - Dead Boys 8. Illmatic - Nas 9. (GI) - The Germs 10. Origin of Symmetry - Muse 11. Closer - Joy Division 12. The Queen is Dead - The Smiths 13. In The Aeroplane Over The Sea - Neutral Milk Hotel 14. City - Strapping Young Lad 15. Neon Golden - The Notwist 16. Blauer Samt - Torch 17. Revolver - The Beatles 18. Love is Hell - Ryan Adams 19. Music For Real Airports - The Black Dog / Black Dog Productions 20 .Mezzanine - Massive Attack EDIT: Forgot Massive Attack.
  15. Oh right, Epicloud is amazing. Totally forgot that. Kendrick Lamar can be savely added to the list of American rappers of whom I do not understand the appeal at all. Yeah, despite not understanding why you needed to tag it as "American rappers," I'm gonna cosign this. Well, I'm from Germany and with German rap I usually at least somewhat understand why people like certain things and I often believe that the reason why I don't like a couple of American rappers is due to cultural differences or different expectations in rap style.
  16. full-on back to basics, though at the same time it was much closer than it has been in the weeks prior. It beats...
  17. Kendrick Lamar can be savely added to the list of American rappers of whom I do not understand the appeal at all.
  18. TV giveth, and TV taketh away. We lose Ben and Kate and keep Two and a Half men. We get Yvonne Strahovski side boob and get terrible Dexter episodes.
  19. Pretty sure that honor goes to JohnnyPerfect .
  20. 1. Swans - The Seer 2. Haleek Maul - Oxyconteen (Well, technically an EP. Otherwise I'd go with his album with Supreme Cuts.) 3. Death Grips - The Money Store 4.Nas - Life is Good 5. Frank Ocean - Channel Orange Pretty sure I forgot alot I really like, but those were the first five that came to mind.
  21. It's really too bad that it's most likely getting cancelled, because it is just such a charming show.
  22. The series is amazing. The main thing people dislike about the latest episodes is that in those heavy thriller style action (which is sometimes implausible) is favored over the character drama that makes the show so great and appealing. But those episodes are still probably better than a lot of other shows (and I didn't mind them at all) and the character moments are still there. There is no other show like it (at least that I can think of).
  23. So Nine Inch Nails will be releasing a Greatest Hits next year, new album in 2014 and Trent is collaborating with Interscope and Beats by Dre to develop a new straming service. In actual 'What am I listening to?" news. Swans, lots of Swans. And Electric Wizard. And Swans. And German rap. And Swans.
