  1. It's also a show almost everyone can watch and enjoy. And if you're only an average TV watcher and you don't have the exposure to as many shows as some of us do, it'll probably seem really great. It's a really solid show, but it will never reach the heights of other stuff that's on, and I don't think it even wants to do that.
  2. Good summary. It's not a bad show by any means, but you definitely are not missing out on everything if you don't watch it. Here's hoping it's becoming a bit more interesting in the next episodes. The Mindy Project on the other hand was really good and you should all watch it.
  3. And that's how it should be. Boardwalk wasn't as good as last week's (but still solid) and Treme was a nice start to the season. Are you watching Ben and Kate GoGo? If so, tell me what you think, not sure if I'll start watching it, but the AV Club gave it a solid review.
  4. So, second episode of Revolution. Better than the pilot, still has many problems to deal with, but Esposito was once again awesome.
  5. To be fair, there is a lot of sex in the books as well and I think they are doing a good job of adapting them. Yes there is a lot of it and not everything is necessary, but that's not something that's a problem solely with the TV show. Good god, I hope this season is really the last of HIMYM:

  8. Well, Revolution was the highest rated TV drama premiere in three years, so there is more than a chance that they get a second season if the trend continues. And since we're somewhat talking about TV shows that could be good but are not, I'm catching up on American Horror Story. Total train-wreck of a show, but it is hilarious to watch it anyways just to see what kind of crazy shit they throw at me next. Pretty sure that's not the original intention of the show, but then again, I'm not sure what else this show could be trying to accomplish. Oh, and also Gravity Falls. Pretty funny animated show on the Disney Channel, with a bit of an horror / surreal setting. You should definitely check it out.
  9. Agreed. Plus... That is, indeed, a great episode. Are you watching through the series for the first time? If so, Season 5 gets even better. But you might want to stop after the first two hours of Season 6. Listen to this man.
  10. I thought the Revolution pilot was terrible but I'll watch a few more episodes to see if it improves. So far, 99% of the characters are cringe inducing and/or totally unlikeable.
  11. Indeed, Season 2 is way better than Season 1. Season 1 is not terrible mind you, but the cast and setting has so much potential that I was left a bit disappointed with the first season (although Stephen Graham is awesome, just like in everythng else). Season 2 is great though and the finale is a fantastic piece of television.
  12. For everyone who has heard about Extras but is not sure whether or not to watch it, do it. It's hilarious.
  13. Treme is absolutely fantastic. I'm caught up now and it's really enjoyable and I'm looking forward to the next season.
  14. Yeah, if you didn't like Season 1 of Game of Thrones you won't like Season 2 either probably. Boardwalk Empire improved greatly in Season 2, but still might be difficult to get through if you didn't like it before. I can recommend Terriers and Sons of Anarchy, although Terriers will throw you into a deep depression after you're finished because you will never understand why it was canceled. I watched the first couple of episodes of Grimm and didn't enjoy it at all, but I heard it got better later on.
  15. There's definitely one question missing in this thread:
  16. It wouldn't surprise me at all if Homeland beats Breaking Bad for my number two Drama spot this year (behind Mad Men, of course).
  17. Uhm, yeah no idea what shows you're going to allow but here it goes: 1. Batman: The Animated Series 2. Avatar: The Last Airbender 3. Rocko's Modern Life 4. Recess 5. Doug 6. Hey Arnold 7. X-Men: The Animated Series 8. Tiny Toon Adventures 9. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 10. Pinky and the Brain
  18. No, most people here (and elsewhere) are just way too forgiving when it comes to this movie. I didn't hate it as much as Skummy did, it actually was okay in my book, but he is pointing out legitimate criticism and if all you can say is "Well, he's Batman" and "oh come on man you're just nitpicking" you should maybe just not take part in the discussion at all. And NO this does not mean just because you enjoyed the movie that you shouldn't say anything. You should just try to make valid points and not brush criticism of just because you don't like it.
