Funnily enough this is the most excited I have been at the start of a football season since we last were promoted to the Premier League. Strange huh? Anyhow, bearing in mind it kicks off this Saturday i'm gonna throw some predictions in for the season. Championship 1. Birmingham City 2. Crystal Palace 3. Derby County 4. Swansea City 5. Reading 6. Sheffield United 7. Queens Park Rangers 8. Ipswich Town 9. Nottingham Forest 10. Norwich City 11. Wolverhampton Wanderers 12. Charlton Athletic 13. Cardiff City 14. Watford 15. Coventry City 16. Blackpool Some bold predictions, Southampton are going to struggle this year beyond belief. The cash is pretty much non-existant and they have a very small squad to play with in a league now that is much more competetive than the year before. Bristol City also I feel will have "second-season" syndrome and find this year much more tricky, although they will survive. Watford I feel will continue their slippery slope alongside Charlton, although they will have a stable mid-table season. I truly expect Nottingham Forest and Swansea to flourish this year, both sides have made inspired signings. Swansea making the playoffs is rather bold - yes but they have got goals in the bag. I worked Gatecrasher as a steward in the Campsite K, the organisation was terrible. We were barely told fuck all either, some bloke also died on the sat night in the Cement tent. Glad I could head back to Oxford after my nightshift and jump in bed, the weather was also shite.

Well the whole Crouch vs. Heskey debate has been settled in the right view that Heskey is the better man for that position. Crouch is too lanky for his own good and doesn't have Heskey's accuracy in the air, he at least gets it somewhere near where he intends. I've always hoped for a day when an England team would play with passion and here we are. I totally agree that Gerrard and Barry are the best midfield combination at the moment, although I can guarantee Lampard will be shoved back in instead of Barry in the future sadly. Rooney will also come straight back in, but lets be honest, i'd prefer Heskey up front. There is no doubting Rooney's ability but Heskey and Owen do have a great chemistry together - and it's been proven the last couple of games. Rooney is such a swine because he's not an out and out striker, but he behaves like one.

I know i loved Martin Allen but if we get the guy we are linked to as our new manager I will be absolutly in love again with Milan Mandaric. That guy being rumoured is Kevin Fucking Keegan!

Just saw Ricky Lambert's goal against Luton for Bristol Rovers Got to be a goal of the season candidate, the 'keepers reaction said it all as he just stood there as it flew in.

Ronnie Jepson resigned from Gillingham today, not too surprised actually seeing as they have gone further and further downhill with him at the helm.

Morecambe in an old FM game of mine got promoted from the Conference and then won League 2 a year later, if it happens in real life i'll eat my hat - so far they are playing well in my books.

I've got an end of transfer window update, it's not great but it does the job. I now need the new kits for the new season, oh and logos and such.

I retract my statement about Leicester/Ipswich being the playoff final. It seems Leicester City only belong in the gutter, we've been there the last three years with everyone shitting all over us and nothing is gonna change. I fucking hate football right now.

I've got a feeling Leeds are gonna win, but you guys could nab a point. The one thing I know is that Luton will be 1-3rd in League 1 this season and Leeds just in the playoffs or just outside.

This reminds me when Sol Davis had a stroke on the team bus with Luton last season. That was sketchy, but at least he made a really good recovery. Still praying for Clive, his career looks over but as long as he is alive.

Clive Clarke's news wasn't good at all. He collapsed in the dressing room so 6 ambulance crews ran in. Apparently they had to use a defibrilator (i'm not exactly sure what that is, something to do with his heart perhaps) but got him up and off to hospital. Apparently at the hospital he's alert but not talking much. Get well soon Clive.

Very, very sad. It seems so strange that he suffered a heart attack, managed to get back up after collapsing on the pitch only to collapse again in the changing room. Horrible.
