  1. At least Leeds losing softened the blow for us throwing the win away at Swindon. Away against Scunthorpe next week is a huge game.
  2. I'm edging towards season two of Frasier also, the sad thing with Frasier in this catagory is that so many quality episodes are so randomly spread about through the seasons (i.e stuff like Moondance, season 3 and the Ski Lodge in season 5). Teachers season 2 is another good shout. Currently my choice is Dexter season 1, it's amazing how many twists and turns that program has.
  3. Ghostbusters, I have always wanted a third film and it's sad that it hasn't come about. Saw of course, but that's in the works so no issues there. Anchorman would make me giggle for a sequel and that's also apparently in the works, Super Troopers 2 as well intrigues me.
  4. The Iain Hume situation from last weekend makes me incredibly sad and angry. Morgan should be banned from football for life for what he did - and even in my view be arrested for his actions. It scares me how challenges are getting worse, Hume suffered some head injuries that could have proved fatal. If the FA don't do something and put their foot down against this then someone will die on a football pitch in the near future, sad fact.
  5. I can't classify what makes a big club anymore honestly. I classify my boys Leicester as a club with a vast amount of fans for the level we are at and funnily enough more trophys in the last fifteen years than clubs like Leeds, Tottenham, Newcastle etc... However I couldn't argue that Wigan aren't a "bigger" club in some regard because they have been a Premier League side for years now and we've always been a yo-yo club. I don't think there is a definitive answer to that age old question. On the other hand I do think there is a way to classify a club with a League, a lot of my friends agree with me on this so i'll see what you guys think. I'll use the example of Leeds because (if i'm not mistaken) if they do not go up this year to the Championship again they will be looking at embarking on their third season in League 1. That's when I would classify them as a League 1 club. When a team is stationary in a League for three seasons without moving one way or the other that's when I say you can classify a side that has fallen into it's level. To use Leicester as an example, we were in the Premier League in 02/03, but then spent four years in the Championship and during that time we fell from promotion candidates in the first season to relegation candidates by the end (then ultimatly the relegation), by the third season we were a Championship club, all of our fans recognised that the Premier League days were gone and that was our place, so we were seen as a Championship club. Like this season with Stoke and WBA in the Premier League - if they stay there for three years like a Wigan then they will be seen as a Premier League club. What do you guys think? A good analogy or not?
  6. So we've lost Adie Boothroyd, Stan Ternent and John Ward in the space of a day, who'd be a football manager nowadays? Looks like Leicester are out of the Paint Trophy, I would have enjoyed a trip to Wembley Rotherham have now knocked out us and Leeds, not a bad crack from a side with negative figures of money and who are a league below.
  7. We had Alnwick last season, he was shocking - trust me Gomes is miles ahead of him.
  8. If the series does carry on beyond VI, and funnily enough I have a feeling it will - it will happen due to the final twist of SAW VI giving us the final accomplice and it coming across in such a way to create a new series of films minus the original Jigsaw character. But time will tell on that one.
  9. VI should be it, hopefully they will tie everything together brillantly. It is all make or break for the whole lot past SAW 1 now, if VI sucks then thats it and it will be a stupid franchise. If it works, then the whole lot will work. Lot of pressure.
  10. Home to Stevenage or Horsham? I'll take that, pity that cunt Peter Taylor isn't still managing the Boro because that could have made things extra spicy. I expect Stevenage to go through and *touch wood* we won't be part of an upset. If it's on Setanta all the better, good stuff. Up the Foxes!
  11. Its just, "You Won't Believe How it Ends..." and to be fair its the most predictable SAW twist so far, so good advertising >_>
  12. I haven't seen it, but this is supposed to be the final movie. Yeah P52 Bomber is right, and to be fair they have already pre-filmed some scenes for 6 when they were filming 5. The hope now is 6 doesn't suck because if it does it really will put a negative view on the last few saw films.
  13. Saw V Just saw this down the Cinema and I've gotta say being a SAW fan I am not dissapointed. While some would argue it's the weakest of all the SAW films - it was in some ways a film for this series that had to be made. There is a different feel to this film than the others, as while moving forward with the plot it does also look back and add final explainations to what has come before. It could also be argued this is the most A-B-C SAW to date, there are twists and turns but they aren't so complex as what we have seen before, but I see that as a plus point. SAW V also does what it needs to do as it sets us up really well for SAW VI next year, the background is now much more solid and now we can move forward. On the gore front I must say that some parts of this film surpased my expectations, the Pendulum trap is just nasty as well as a couple further down the line. This has to be for me the first SAW film which has had some real gross-out moments where I couldn't look. When we look at SAW a lot of times you have to judge the ending, and a credit to the writers the twist here at the end, while not being on a large scale alike past ones is very, very nice - and its actually something rather new for the SAW series. Personally I can't wait to see this film again, it only saddens me that certain questions will not be answered till a year down the line. Rating: 8/10
  14. Arshavin screams Modric to me, he's a good player who with a couple of years of Premier League football under his belt could be a force, however Spurs don't have the time for that now. Like I argued with signing Modric and Dos Santos in a previous post - they are great players but will take time to come 100% good in the Premier League. Spurs now don't have that time when looking at future signings. They do need some battlers - and more importantly a proven goalscorer at this level who can play off Bent, or at least create more chances for him. As for the defence, well it's been Tottenham's achilies heel for quite a while now, while last season in particular you could get goals - you knew how to conceed them as well. Gomes is a step up from Robinson, but you do require someone like a Ledley King (if he can stay fit) who can lead the backline. You have on paper quality players like Corluka back there, but a strong and more of a leadership presence is needed.
  15. We've already seen this at Bahrain how flimsey the Red Bull car is so it doesn't surprise me something broke. Although I didn't really get a clean shot of the crash so he could have tagged someone slightly. I'm still bemused by Hamilton on this one a few days down the line, I don't get what goes on in his head now.
  16. We've already seen the bias to Ferrari this season on numerous occasions. It's a bit odd really and does make me wonder about the FIA, they seem to always draw un-needed attention to themselves.
  17. I thought it was pretty fucking funny. Good work from Mr Kay, R Wayne was a brillant idea, and R Gran haha.
  18. Suicidal driving into the first corner of the GP, really fucked up the whole field to be honest - although he didn't hit anyone due to the great reactions of Kimi, or else there would have been a shunt. I am a Hamilton fan, I think he is very talented - but today after that I have no argument with his penalty, dreadful driving. To be fair also Massa could have got off worse, looked VERY intentional to me that he was going to take Hamilton out.
  19. Yeah im going to assume that [REC] is better so check that out first Zero. I need to watch it all the way through although it does look pretty freaky.
  20. Judging by how Lewis has responded in the press to his suicidal driving today I do wonder if he now will fuck himself again in the championship. Just make sure you're champion you fool! Don't go crazy and throw everything away. I wish Kubica had won today actually then he could have snuck up and been champion which would have rocked.
  21. I can imagine as a punter it was cool, the more fucked the better though. It was just horrible to work, I thought Isle of Wight festival was the best for us lot. We got all your confiscated beer hahaha. So, yeah thanks for that >_>
  22. The most sketchist festival I worked this summer had to be Gatecrasher in Northamptonshire. Some old boy died in one of the tents during my nightshift and everyone was so fucked off pills it was almost impossible to do your job, i remember trying to help this girl find her tent and she was so gone she could not remember anything about it whatsoever, she thought it was either, blue, red or green and in a field. Then it rained the second night...and its held in the same field as where the British GP emergency carpark was in 2000 - which got flooded and cars got stuck. Yep, it was dreadful, tents washed away. Nasty atmosphere generally too, although some guy offered me some coke to stay awake.
  23. The Greatest Song in the World...Ever We need more songs like this nowadays Discuss >_>
  24. we all know Leicester City are the main City in the land so fuck you all! >_>
  25. Yeah if I wasn't working 12 hour nightshifts im sure I would have had a much better time myself, the party doesn't seem to really stop either at Glasto which is cool. I was working down at the Shangrila (or however you spell it) right in one corner of the site and that place had live acts going on till around 6am most days. I got a free drink off a punter also, it was nice walking back to camp at 8am with a triple gin and tonic
