  1. Fucking hell this game tonight is boring, sigh I just hope Boliva equalize against Uruguay to make it more interesting. Wonder if Venezuala/Peru will be much better?
  2. Nice to see another Coca Cola thread, good idea for starting a new one Corino - Put me down for my good old Championship Foxes (Leicester City), and here's my predictions for the upcoming season... Premiership Winners: Manchester United Runner-Up: Chelsea Champions League: Liverpool & Arsenal UEFA Cup: Newcastle, Tottenham and Aston Villa Relegated: Wigan, Derby and Sunderland Championship Winners: Charlton Promoted: West Brom Play-Offs: Leicester (winners), Wolves, Southampton and Watford Relegated: Blackpool, Colchester and Scunthorpe United League One Winners: Swansea City Promoted: Nottingham Forest Play-Offs: Leeds United, Luton Town (winners), Swindon Town and Carlisle Relegated: Northampton, Leyton Orient, Cheltenham and Bournemouth League Two Winners: Bradford City Promoted: Wycombe and Brentford Play-Offs: MK Dons (winners), Peterborough, Rotherham and Lincoln Relegated: Morecambe and Accrington Stanley Got a feeling that we're gonna go up this year from the Championship, or at least make the playoffs. We've made some interesting signings, although its gonna be a bit hit and miss i think. Sergio Hellings looks like he could be a hell of a talent, while N'Gotty will add to our defense. Should be a good season all around!
  3. Maybury is a gem for me as well, but a lot of leicester fans don't rate him at all - but there is a lot of dislike for most of our players. In that game it was Maybury, Tiatto and Fryatt who had the biggest impact while the rest of em didn't look that good. Can't believe we didn't get a penatly, fucking stupid refereeing, it's always us who always gets fucked over by dodgy officiating. Sigh.
  4. Both of the Cups this year: Carling Cup 2nd Rd - Leicester 2 - 3 Aston Villa - AET Went to this game and it was possibly the greatest game i've ever seen. At the time we had major injury problems, playing two defenders in midfield. We dominate for the first five minutes - then Angel goes down the other end to make it 1-0 Villa. We fight back and Stearman makes it 1-1. Then right on half time the referee gave a penalty for Petrov diving in the box, 2-1 Villa right on half time. Everyone was down at half time, but we went for it throughout the second half and finally in the 84th minute made it 2-2 from a corner. Then, right in the 94th minute Mark Cuntenburg gave ANOTHER Villa peno. This time though Henderson pulled off the most amazing penatly save ever! 2-2 and into extra time. We were tired and in the 119th minute Agbonlahor had a speculative effort that hit Alan Maybury and went into the net Out of the Carling Cup when it looked like going to penalties. FA Cup 3rd Rd Replay - Fulham 4 - 3 Leicester Nearly went to this game but decided we'd loose, didn't think i'd be right after the first half. We went 2-1 up going into half time at Craven Cottage, which it seems every other Premiership team struggles to get anything from. Then James Wesolowski made a hell of a shot that made it 3-1 in the 50th minute, we were as good as through. Then Montella came on, he got it back level with 15 to go and in the 94th minute Routledge gets played in - even though the referee blew his whistle, our players didn't know what was going on as he put the ball in the net to make it 4-3. Fucks sake. It's an eventful life being a Leicester fan, fucking hell.
  5. Kiss my ass, i fucking hate this game.
  6. COME ON LEICESTER 3-3! 90th minute now!
  7. The Pursuit of Happyness Popped down to the cinema today and decided to take a look at this movie - and I wasn't unhappy with my decision at all. The story is a very intruging one which shows many morals and values which (perhaps) modern day society generally lacks today. Without trying to give away anything, although you always know how the movie is going to pan out it is definatly a well acted and directed ending, it was left on just the right note for me and without that this movie would have felt totally unfulling in conclusion. The Pursuit of Happyness for me is a great movie, it's full of emotion and gets the mind thinking about how things are in your own life, and I love movies that make me think along those lines. The performance from Smith's son also is a very strong point, for his acting debut it was great. The connection displayed between the two Smith's characters in the movie was without a doubt linked together by their real-life relationship, but not to a level where you just saw them as being the Smiths, they were both their own characters - which was a definate plus point also. I highly recommend any movie buffs go see this, a very nice, emotional and well acted film. The whole package is excellent although it just falls short of a ten for me. 9/10
  8. We released Momo Sylla on a free Okay, he was lazy but still.
  9. Stoke is an easyish draw, thus why we desperatly want to beat Fulham away in the replay. Need a good cup run to detract from our league form.
  10. Eagles of Death Metal, (seeing them in February) Ill Nino, Lacuna Coil, Nothingface, Queens of the Stone Age, Sevendust, Slayer, Spineshank, (wish i had seen them, the new lineup would do though) Static X & System of a Down
  11. Started a game as Brighton tonight, just made it to the half-way point and sitting confortably in the top 6 of the league. There must be around seven points difference from 6th to 7th with groups of teams just clustered together. Out of the League Cup (unsurprisingly really), I drew Southampton away in the 2nd round and got spanked 4-1 - despite the fact we weren't much worse than them, typical league difference. The FA Cup is going (or shall I say was going) much better as I beat Altringham 3-2 in the last ten minutes to get to the second round, and then Vauxhall Motors 7-0 to make it to the third. My reward? Typical...a trip to Old Trafford to face Manchester United. Fuckers :pinch: I've made a few signings here and there, but Brighton are poor as fuck so you don't get much to work with, £50k or so. I've basically just brought in some cheap Scottish players, but they haven't had much of an effect really. Daquin from Dunfermline down the right has been alright, and I got a decent young player off Motherwell who I've sent out on loan to Stevenage. Joe Gatting and Robinson are legends at League 1 level, just hope now I can get up into the Championship I love this game damnit.
  12. Leicester/Fulham is a bloody good game so far, end to end stuff should be about 2-2 or something. Instead it's 0-0, but still. Macclesfield were giving it a good go but they're now down to ten and 3-1 down.
  13. Night at the Museum (2006) I really enjoyed watching this movie, and to be fair it was much more than what I was expecting. But I wasn't expecting much. The plot is pretty predictable after a while which does detract from the viewing, however the casting is pretty much top notch. Dick Van Dyke, Robin Williams and Steve Coogan get special mentions for putting in great efforts, without Coogan infact this movie would have dropped off a lot in my view. The movie slips from a kids film very much into a comedy as it progresses and that is to good effect. Overall I would say that the idea of a museum coming to life at night is pretty cool - and while the story was predictable it was good fun. 8/10
  14. Skindred's new album is out in April or so, hopefully this will finally make them huge.
  15. Skindred - Babylon (2004) Track Listing: 1. Intro 2. Nobody 3. Pressure 4. Start First 5. Interlude 1 6. Selector 7. Bruises 8. We Want 9. Interlude 2 10. Set It Off 11. Firing the Love 12. Tears 13. World Domination 14. The Fear 15. Interlude 3 16. Babylon 17. The Beginning of Sorrows This album contains absolute excellence. Skindred just fucking own everything and this album definatly features something for everyone. A mix between Reggie, Punk and Metal (alongside others) called "Raggapunk" they have an awesome sound, which improves more with their live performances. This album definatly moved up in my expectations when I saw them live...3 times or so now. It just is awesome to be fair. 10/10 Key Tracks: Nobody, Pressure, Selector, Bruises, Set It Off, World Domination & Babylon.
  16. Ian Walker got arthritus when I signed him, that's a new one on me. But he is old >_>
  17. Thats horrible. On the plus side Mandarics about to buy us
  18. I started a game with Bristol Rovers, brought in three good players who I can't remember and after the first ten games of the season i'm linked to the Norwich job  I've been unbeaten in nine but thats still funny seeing as I drew 7 and aren't particulary doing amazingly. Who knows? Of course, i've applied for it.
  19. Must give a lot of credit to my boys today. We took the game to Villa last night with six first-team players out and played with such a passion and commitment like I haven't seen from Leicester for years. Hendo's penalty save in the last minute of normal time was a thing of glory, I've never celebrated so much in my life. The standing ovation for the players at the end was also excellent.
  20. 100% Fox firstly, but I do tend to love underdogs as a generalisation when I look at other clubs. Thus in the Prem this season I love Watford, Reading, Sheffield Utd and Aston Villa >_> Other clubs I pay a bit more of attention to are: Argyle (local), Oxford (uni local), Cov (ex-manager local), Bristol City (dunno) and Forest (don't tell anyone )
  21. Fucking fed up now, I can't get over my football team. SAME SHIT DIFFERENT FUCKING SEASON. I'm saying the same stuff over and over, we're so fucked. Forest here we come - and thus no club.
  22. To create a bit of convo - what do you guys feel about your teams ticket prices? Because with most clubs suffering from low attendances it's quite a point in lower league football at the moment. For Leicester it's not good really. We have "fans fixtures" which are £10 per game but there's only them around twice a season The rest of the games are at least £22 and apparently Colchester is £25 in the next few weeks This isn't good value really in my books and theres no wonder a 32,000 stadium is only getting at most 19,000 at the moment. How do you rate your clubs ticket prices? With that how do you see improvements? I know i'm not happy due to being priced out from seeing City. Also - if your name and team isnt in the first post give me a shout in here (Y) I've moved Myke and MDK's Leyton Orient into League 1...and relegated Dan (Y)
