  1. Definitely didn't see that coming. We knew that they'd have to get rid of one of Williams or Allen, but after cutting Williams, didn't see them trading Allen too.
  2. Even your leg couldn't bear you anymore! I say that with love ❤️
  3. Hope all the Liverpool fans were in their seats early for both halves! 3 goals in the first 10 minutes, and 2 inside the first 6 of the second half. Liverpool were genuinely outplayed last week, the scoreline grossly flattered us. Tonight is a very different story. This is amazing 🤣
  4. Yeah it's definitely very vague what all he's actually going to do because he didn't want to just be a Sporting Director again, and is why he turned us and other big clubs down over the past 2 years. But having him back in any capacity is still a massive win in my opinion, given how much knowledge he has both of Liverpool and of analyzing data. It also will coincide with Bournemouth Sporting Director Richard Hughes joining us as well, which isn't a surprise at all considering these two are close friends and have known each other going back to when Hughes played at Portsmouth and Edwards was one of the first performance analysts there.
  5. 1 career playoff win says it all. Obviously a QB can't win on his own, and there have been seasons where Minnesota's defense has definitely been bad. But when you are paid elite QB money, which he was for his entire stint in Minnesota, he never showed he could carry a team to victory in a way that an elite QB can. I think ESPN said today that since 2016, only 3 QBs have made more money than him. That's insane for the lack of success he delivered to the team.
  6. I know it sucks that he's going to a rival team, but in fairness to Barkley, there's a LOT of reasons for him to go to Philly, before you even count the $12.5m AAV reasons. 1) He grew up in the Lehigh Valley, which is just over an hour away. 2) he also went to Penn State, giving him added ties to PA 3) he's going to the arguably the best run block team in the NFL, even with Kelce retiring 4) he's going from one of the worst run (pun slightly intended) franchises in the NFL to one of the better run franchises 5) the Eagles could easily still be a Super Bowl contender this season if they fix the defense enough 6) the Giants had years to fix their offensive line issues and never could 7) they also had years to sign him to a new contract and wouldn't meet his terms. He's getting a raise from even the franchise tag! New York Giants did Barkley all kinds of wrong, and the Eagles are a great fit for him in just about every way.
  7. Yup!! We just signed Saquon to a 3 year deal. Love this move so much for so many reasons
  8. Doku may have been "playing the ball" but 1) MacAllister clearly touches the ball before Doku, 2) Doku still kicks him in the chest, studs first, 3) "playing the ball" has been shown time and time again to not matter one bit now when determining fouls, penalties, etc. I've also seen a ton of neutrals saying it's a penalty 🤷
  9. I don't know where best to put this, but this was at least worth a chuckle
  10. I definitely agree it didn't cost us the title. I don't think Arsenal are winning out, and fully expect them to wilt under the pressure again to City. It's just so frustrating. So many missed chances and awful decision making in the box by our players. And then to have a clear penalty denied because *Man City* just makes it that much worse. MacAllister very clearly touches the ball first. Doku then kicks him in the chest. And then finally the ball touches Doku. Just cowardice from VAR.
  11. We were by far the better side, and we should have taken our chances. Diaz missed a hat trick of golden opportunities. That said, that was a stonewall penalty and it doesn't surprise me in the least bit the referee and VAR wouldn't give a penalty that late in a match that big, when the team committing the penalty is Manchester City.
  12. Fletcher Cox has retired, as anticipated. Two Philly legends gone 😭
  13. Crystal Palace 2 vs. 1 Luton (Sat 3pm) Wolves 2 vs. 0 Fulham (Sat 3pm) Arsenal 3 vs. 1 Brentford (Sat 5.30pm, Sky) Aston Villa 3 vs. 2 Tottenham (Sun 1pm, Sky) Liverpool 2 vs. 2 Man City (Sun 3.45pm, Sky)
  14. It's definitely incredibly confusing to spend £30m, especially with all the FFP/PSR worries, for a 19 year old that the manager has trusted enough to play *checks notes* under 300 minutes in all competitions. Just seems like Newcastle could definitely spend their money a whole lot better.
  15. Kelleher has made multiple top class saves in the opening 20 minutes. He's been so amazing the past month. One of the most in form keepers in the world this past month. Just an amazing keeper. Really hope when we're over in England next month they'll be selling his kit so I can get one for the lady. She adores Kelleher. Also, Darwin Nunez golazo! I love this man, well, probably in the same way she loves Kelleher 🤣
  16. They can at least get a sponsorship with Saban if they name the stadium that!
  17. So this is not actually correct, from what my referee friend has pointed out. It's actually a drop ball to Liverpool because he was blowing the whistle/in the process of blowing the whistle when the ball was still in the box. The whistle may have been blown delayed because he was checking to see if Konate was getting back up, but the way the referee saw it was when he blew/was about to blow the whistle, the ball was still in the box, or had last been touched in the box. When that happens, it's a drop ball for the keeper. The only thing Tierney did wrong was not blow the whistle immediately when Konate went down with a head injury, as he should have. But you are right about the referee making an error seeing as Konate got kicked in the face, and also from a high boot!
  18. It's hilarious to because all the complaints I heard were that Konate faked a head injury and that Liverpool didn't give the ball back to Forest like they should have. However, 1) the exact same thing happened in the first half where the ref just had Forest take possession instead, 2) Liverpool should have had the ball anyways for a foul by Forest during the set piece, 3) Konate "faking a head injury" was after he very clearly got kicked in the face during the Forest corner.
  19. Reasons to love MLS. While most people are watching Miami vs Orlando, over in Salt Lake City for RSL v LAFc, the match was delayed in the 3rd minute because of thunder and lightning in the pouring rain. An hour later, they're back playing in heavy snow and orange ball. Pitch is covered in snow. It's phenomenal.
  20. Rough couple of minutes for Evertonians, with this just making the day all the funnier!
  21. I LOVE YOU SO MUCH DARWIN NUNEZ!!!
  22. Brentford 1 vs. 2 Chelsea (Sat 3pm) Everton 2 vs. 1 West Ham (Sat 3pm) Fulham 1 vs. 2 Brighton (Sat 3pm) Luton 1 vs. 2 Aston Villa (Sat 5.30pm, Sky) Man City 2 vs. 0 Man Utd (Sun 3.30pm, Sky)
  23. I'm pretty sure this wasn't a red card because the center ref and VAR equally were both just so happy to see someone doing this to Bruno because they can't do it themselves like they wish they could do.
