  1. Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic 2: The Sith Lords Originally on Xbox, then I bought the physical game on PC, and then I bought it on Steam when my new computer had an issue with the disk drive and wouldn't read the discs. Worth it.
  2. If you like star wars it should be a definite get. Its not grindy at all. Even if you just do the story you'll only miss out on reaching the level cap by one or two levels.
  3. Just got out of NXT in career mode after toppling Kevin Owens for the second time on PPV (in our first match he got himself DQed by attacking my manager, Emma. Fair play Kevin). Couldn't be bothered sticking around in NXT and wrestling the same guys week-in and week-out so I immediately jumped into the IC title rankings. I've had a lot more success changing my finisher from a submission move to an impact move. Matches no longer take ten plus minutes just because my Signature move won't put opponents away. Bret continues to be the bane of my existence in showcase though. I hate having most of the objectives done only for him to lock me in a submission move and tap me out. Still enjoying it though.
  4. Echoing the sentiments on the new submission system being awful. While I'm happy they've done away with button mashing they should've replaced it with the blue slider from SvR2006 where you had to stop the dot in the zone to escape. That was a good system. I am enjoying the new pin and reversal systems though, and AI Rollins' tendency to chickenshit his way out of matches is fantastic (I was wailing on him with Reigns. I just nailed the Spear but he kicked out at 2. He then got out of the ring, grabbed a sledgehammer and hit me with it. Glorious)
  5. Very much a personal list for me. A mix of time invested/enjoyment/emotional investment. Very RPG heavy Top 10 too. 1. Dragon Age: Origins 2. Halo 3 3. Mass Effect 2 4. Dragon Age 2 5. The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim 6. Mass Effect 3 7. The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion 8. Mass Effect 9. Dragon's Dogma 10. Fallout 3 11. Bioshock 12. Super Smash Bros Brawl 13. Saints Row 2 14. Call Of Duty 4: Modern Warfare 15. Left 4 Dead 16. Pokemon Heartgold & Soulsilver 17. Saints Row IV 18. Tony Hawk's Project 8 19. Assassin's Creed 2 20. Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning
  6. Krackerjak's spear is still the Britney Spear last I checked. Also I'd have his gimmick set to "crazy"
  7. As someone who never played 13 is there enough of a jump from 12 to 14 in terms of gameplay and content to justify a full (or near-full) price purchase?
  8. 1. The Agonist 2. Killswitch Engage 3. Judas Priest 4. Metallica 5. Machine Head 6. Five Finger Death Punch 7. Trivium 8. Chimaira 9. Anthrax 10. Lacuna Coil 11. Slayer 12. Throwdown 13. Alestorm 14. Nightwish 15. Hammerfall 16. Queensryche 17. Sylosis 18. Mutiny Within 19. Avenged Sevenfold 20. The Butterfly Effect
  9. I had that issue too when I first played it. I had to bump it down to easy after getting to Tien's Landing. Even then some of the boss fights are ridiculously hard, especially later on in the game (although once you get the Golem transformation form everything becomes stupidly easy). Trying an entire playthrough on normal and yeah, it gets quite difficult in places (surprised I've only died once to be honest).
  10. So with my Xbox 360 on the fritz again (my dog peed on it), I've started replaying original Xbox games. In between smashing through another Madden 07 franchise, I've started up Jade Empire again. I love the original setting (in comparison to other western RPGs at the time) and the combat system. But the one thing I had forgotten is how bloody hard the game is if you don't use the transformation styles (I believe they make the game too easy). More recent RPGs have spoilt me with regenerating health after every fight and standard enemies usually being mere cannon fodder as opposed to actual threats. Also your allies are bloody useless in combat if they're being used as attackers as opposed to support. Still love the story too even though I know all the twists. Surprised there was no sequel for it (although I think it didn't sell well which'd probably explain why).

  17. Yes, it is FINALLY here, EWB's Top 50 favourite games of the 90's! More than 50 games appeared on multiple ballots, and 1 EWB member's entire ballot ended up making the final list! Now that's an accomplishment! (SPOILER: It wasn't my ballot) Now, before we get started with the first 10 games, here are some games that just missed making the final list. Just missed the list - NBA Live 95 - Mortal Kombat - Super Smash Bros. - Theme Hospital - and many more! And now, the first 10 games! 50. WWF Attitude (PS1/N64) (22 points, appeared on 2 ballots) 49. 18. Are you kidding me? The Great Khali is fantastic in what he does? He even don't know what he does. Now I can't take you seriously anymore. Show me just one "memorable Divas match" with Kelly². A single Match with no botch. I think you just don't see the botches. Oh yeah, I'm sure WWE would hire someone who doesn't know what the hell he is doing, and give him a monster push upon debuting which involved a pinfall victory over the GODDAMN UNDERTAKER of all people.
  19. Seriously not trying to start an argument or anything but Bo should be a lightweight. He's only 225 lbs, heavyweights in the game are 230 lbs and over. Is that an agreed upon distinction? Honestly I'd define Heavyweights would be any workers 100kg or over (which is 220lbs).
  20. Went with Paul from Tekken. His moveset was easy to learn and his 90% lifebar eating punch was easy to execute and didn't take 20 goddamn seconds to actually charge up like Kazuya's Electric Wind God Fist (was that in number 1? Even if it wasn't the fact that you could practically OHKO with Paul at any time made him awesome) SubZero from Mortal Kombat because ice. The only memory I have of any sort of Street Fighter was when I was in an arcade and I versed somebody who managed to continuously own me until I picked Ken and then proceeded to kick his ass. So that's why I picked Ken.
  21. Okay, since it seems list submissions have started to dry up, I am giving everyone until the 18th to submit/edit their final lists - after that the tallying shall begin!
