I dont think it's something that you're supposed to look into so much, for me it was just a fun episode, that took the piss out of all sorts, I don't think it had a specific message as such. Good episode though.

This game is awesome. Seriously. I dominate every single game in the Master league after a few seasons, I have a brilliant squad, but still I can't win unless I focus solely on the game. It's really difficult and every game gets you emotionally involved. Pure brilliance. And Lawro is awesome. I love his dry wit.

So my brothers 360 recently died, and in order to stop him from annoying me all the time I dug out my old dreamcast, but have found myself playing on it way more than he has. Some of the games are absolutely brilliant (Fire Pro D, Shenmue, Grandia) and everythings really cheap too, with the exception of the Shenmue games which I believe still cost about twenty quid second hand. Granted it's all a bit dated now, but with the price you can get new games for it's well worth it. Anyone reccommend any games in particular? I currently have Fire Pro, Shenmue 1 + 2, UFC, Marvel vs. Capcom 2, Street Fighter Alpha 3 and Zombies Revenge.

To be honest, owning both myself, you should really go with Pro Evo. The only teams that aren't licensed this year are the Premiership teams, except for Newcastle and Tottenham, who are. And it's pretty obvious which team is which, because all the players have the right names, and if you're that bothered about it, you can always edit them. FIFA is a lot better this year, and comes very close to Pro Evo, but it still doesn't feel like you're actually playing football, whereas Pro Evo leaves you totally immersed in the action and celebrating every goal scored almost as if it was a real match. However if youre on the ps3 I'd disregard what I've just said as Pro Evo is apparently very laggy on that console.

I figure a few people will care about this, especially seeing as its the first song featuring Axl to actually be released since 2001. If you go to www.newgnr.com you can download a radio rip. I haven't heard the original to be honest, but I like this track, and I can't wait to hear the rest of Bachs album, another 2 tracks will also feature Axl.

Think the games ace so far. Had to trade in FIFA to get it but I'll be buying it back once I get a job. One question I do have though, how on earth do you use the face scan thing? It tells you absolute fa in the instruction booklet.

So am I the only person to find this game ridiculously hard? Started a game with West Ham, and I was absolutely abysmal. No idea why, the squad was good if not great, yet somehow we get to December and with only one win I'm sacked. I can't believe it. I haven't been sacked on a Football Manager game in 9 years. And I was like 9 then. I can't believe this.

I'm fully aware that we haven't been great, but we've done more than enough to get past who we've faced. And especially when you consider how we played this time last year, it's been a sizeable improvement. But yeah, this won't lower my interest in next summers tournament, and at the time my heart will probably be grateful as it means there's no chance of us getting into a penalty shootout. Something needs to be done to England though. I don't know whether we need to be playing less games, whether it's the manager, or whether the players aren't passionate enough, but with our players we should of done a lot better this generation than we have done.

Argh. This is seriously depressing. Hiddink might be a good manager but that doesn't change the fact that Russia are a poor side compared to England. You can't really blame Mclaren after the last 4 qualifiers, except for his decision to stick with Robinson. He's been fucking about all season and I he was clearly at fault for the second goal. And Scotland are losing to Georgia so it looks like we might not even have them to cheer on next summer.

Yeah I've had that problem too. I had an idea, but I haven't tried it yet, but if you do your transfers, and then save the squad file in the options menu as something different to the default one, then you should be able to load it up each time. However if you meant you made the transfers during manager mode, then there isn't much you can do.

Just curious as to what control type everyone uses? I personally love manual through balls, they make it easy to rip apart defences when pulled off right, and it always goes to the man you want it to. Everything else I think is semi assisted. Another question, in the instruction book it says a single tap of X will get you a far post cross, whereas a double tap will get you a near post, yet it also states that a double tap will result in a low cross. Obviously they cant both do the same thing, and so far I haven't noticed a double tap producing anything different to a single tap, can anyone shed some light on this?

If the game was half an hour longer you'd be going out ¬.¬ Seriously though, it must be pretty gutting to see a good strength Spurs side losing this game. At the start of the season I was behind Jol and thought that it was just a blip and he'd soon turn it around, but it hasn't gone that way really. Does he still have the backing of Spurs fans? There you go.

I can't tell you exactly how on the ps2, but on the 360 you just hold down the left trigger (L2) and move the right analogue stick in different directions depending on what trick you want to do.

Loving the league so far. Went down 3-2 to Wolverines Blackburn thanks to some needlessly conceded penalties and his ability to fend off crosses, from that I went on to beat Newcastle 2-0 and hand them their first defeat of the league. Great fun.
