I think I heard on the commentary at one point that the reason Ponting and Siddle were yelling at Aleem Dar(?) was because the reason he gave them was that the batsman hit his pad with the bat, which the replay on the scoreboard clearly showed he didn't. If not for that reason, Ponting should really have gone back to his position immediately and let it go, and I'm not condoning him arguing for the next few overs even if he was given a stupid excuse like that. But this is the sort of thing that he's done before, and Aussies unfortunately tend to gloss over it by saying either 1. it's part of the game, 2. he's just showing emotion or 3. we're all too critical of him, we need to support him instead.
Finally, bring back Hauritz. We need him badly.
