  1. Can't believe nobody's posted this yet. Mark Boucher retires after being hit in the eye by a bail Almost 15 years worth of international cricket, and has to be rated as one of the best South Africans ever to play the game. Lee retiring is unsurprising, but probably just as well. He was beginning to lose his edge a bit but he had a great career as well.
  2. Yeah, what's weirder is that the new episodes are being aired on a secondary free-to-air channel when they are finally being shown. The time difference between when something is shown first and then worldwide is definitely becoming less though.
  3. And finally we get the first Season 7 episodes over here. The Bots and the Bees had some really great moments, overall I'd say it was better than what I saw of last season.
  4. Depends how you'd define knowing much about cycling. I know the main teams and races, probably 60-100 riders and roles such as domestiques, sprinters, GC riders and lead-out men, but any more than that and I'd struggle a bit. Having played an 06 demo I get the feeling that the level of detail could be about right for me, but no doubt that's been improved along with other things.
  5. I doubt that anyone's prepared to help Cadel, he'll be seen as way too much of a threat and especially as the previous year's champion.
  6. I know it's a massive topic bump but I've been considering getting an older version of the PCM series. Is it decent to play over a series of years and building a team? I think that's what I'd be most interested in.
  7. Agreed, but this link says he wrestled a match with UPW in 99.
  8. There are various sources saying different things on this matter. I'd say you could put them in but with greatly reduced stats. Orton, because was the son of a legendary wrestler, so it makes sense that he could be there. Punk had only just started in late '99-2000, and Cena's first match I could find was in November of 1999.
  9. Agreed, there was clearly no room there. I think they said it was Freire who caused the crash.
  10. GreenEdge doing much better than I expected, Goss almost ran over the top of Cavendish there.
  11. I remember a wedge-tailed eagle being used last year for pigeons at the MCG. Didn't work, but for completely different reasons. Fed's back in control now 5-2 in the 4th after losing the first two games.
  12. It's actually Bryan/Bryan that he's saying, they've just won everything for years so the umpires just get through it so quickly from experience. The chest bump is very pro-wrestling though.
  13. Does anyone have a picture of these people? Astro Man ("The Dominicans"/"Dominican All Stars" tag team partner of El Bronco/Bronco #1. Maybe from WWC?) Candice (relative of Konrad) Damian (New Generation tag team partner of Eric Perez/Eric Escobar) Gino The Punisher Hypnosis (tag team partner of Liberty Kid) Mace Steele (of HWA) Marcus Falk (of WWC) Mike Desire (of HWA, "Extreme Desire" tag team partner of Tack) Preferably non-kyky, but I'll take any pictures.
  14. And sure enough, Djokovic seems to be getting back on top. Can't believe that people are seeing Roddick as that much of a threat, the guy seems to struggle to beat people most people in at least the top 30 or so, let alone serious contenders.
  15. Not necessarily, we've been scoring very slowly in the last few years, but with 7 wickets in hand they will pick up I'm sure.
  16. I generally don't buy many albums but I have heard Oceania by The Smashing Pumpkins recently, and was pleasantly surprised. A bit more electronic than their previous albums and made with only one of the original members, but it's pretty impressive nevertheless
  17. Come on Sam. We'll gladly put up with all the tournaments when you make an early exit if you can do well in these situations (i.e. single-handedly stopping our country from being a complete joke at Wimbledon). EDIT: Well, so much for that.
  18. Hate to be Almagro or Nieminen right now, rain delay while they're so close to beating Lopez and Rochus respectively
  19. Stosur and Djokovic through in straight sets, but Vesnina beat Venus Williams quite easily. School holidays coming at the right time for me this year
  20. Davydenko's been a shadow of his former self in the last few years though, wouldn't expect Murray to even drop a set against him.
  21. Shit, The Middle East broke up? They were good. http://www.myspace.com/video/vid/62757868 Also Trial Kennedy. They were apparently around for ten years but only released their first album in 2008. One of the best modern rock bands I've heard.
  22. Didn't realise Matosevic was ranked high enough to get in without qualifying. For the Aussies, Tomic's the only real chance to get past the 2nd round in the men's and Stosur and Gajdosova are set to meet in the 4th if either of them make it that far in, with Rodionova and Dellacqua playing top 10 seeds in the 1st. Essentially, we might not get anyone through to week 2 this year (N) My tip for the men's - Djokovic Women's - Azarenka
  23. Heh, one of my friends is quite a big fan of The Gaslight Anthem and 45 was the first song I heard this morning. I liked it but it's not amazing.
