  1. At least one of the organizations belonging to the RFEF reported Rubiales to the National Sports Council. Not all of them support Rubiales. However, the National Sports Council don't exactly hold any power in this instance so they opened a file, as did the spanish government, with the only organization that could force his resignation. That would be the TAD (Sports Administrative Court), which is totally independent from the RFEF. There are several steps through all this federal bureaucracy to get anything done, but I still believe it will get done and he'll be out eventually.
  2. This was actually something well known. She had said all of that days ago when the Spanish federation statement claiming she Said it is was no big deal came out. However now it's an official statement by the whole squad. And that carries a lot more weight, I guess.
  3. I don't know where to post this and if this has been in the news worldwide, but the Spanish Football Federation president, Luis Rubiales, has been in the news since the final because he forcibly kissed Jennifer Hermoso "in celebration". After huge backlash for his actions and worse, because he apparently begged Jennifer Hermoso to say there was nothing wrong with that, and since she refused to do so, obviously, the federation faked a Jennifer Hermoso public statement online saying there was nothing wrong with what he did. She said that wasn't true and she had nothing to do with that statement. Obviously, this is all terrible, and lots of people are outraged by all of this, and even some spanish clubs (Real Sociedad, Getafe, Osasuna and Atletico Madrid... possibly others I may have missed) said he should resign. After all of this, according to last night's news, he was going to announce he would resign today. So, today's public announcement came and... I believe... to everyone's surprise, he just said he won't resign and attacked fake feminists who want to take him down. Obviously since then, further backlash. Apparently plenty of spanish personalities, mostly those related to football at this point, have already commented on this. De Gea after hearing this posted a tweet: "My ears are bleeding". I suppose many have done so already. I'm just mentioning his, because it was shown on TV. Most importantly, the spanish government has spoken and the left parties lead by Yolanda Diaz have said they're taking this to court.
  4. I have them rated as: Damaged > My War > In My Head (which you haven't included) > Loose Nut > What The... > Slip It In > Family Man. As always, I enjoyed reading your analysis and it's very similar to mine. I know very little about De La Soul or anything hip hop not named The Coup to be honest, but I'll still wait for your review and may give a chance to some of it if you sell them well enough.
  5. Way too late to reply but have you watched their "Guess who?" played with personality traits instead of looks?
  6. I think you can even go back to 2017. That's 6 semi-finals out of 7 tournaments and the one you missed was just a game away. It definitely shows consistency at the top.
  7. I love both. Black Flag may be more interesting for this. Dead Kennedys stuff is great but it's pretty much what you'd expect from the first album to the last. Black Flag has their Hardcore Punk beginnings, then with Family Man they start experimenting with things that you wouldn't hear in the californian Hardcore Punk scene at the time, then with Slip it In they incorporate Metal/Sludge into their repertoire. Then a couple albums later they break up for 25 years and come back with an almost universally disliked album with Ron Reyes who'd been the lead singer for a short while even before they had released any full lengths. I like it but understand why people usually don't. And you could even include the first 3 EPs 79-81, each with a different lead singer, before Henry Rollins became the "face" of the band.
  8. I love reading your reviews even when I don't agree with them. This time I do agree for the most part although Deloused in the Comatorium is by far my number 1. I don't actually love any of the others but would have Frances the Mute number 2. Bedlam in Goliath may be the one I'd have last even if I agree with your description. Oddly enough it includes Wax Simulacra. I love it but I feel it's so out of place in that album. Last thing, I'd move Noctourniquet to number 3 but it's not something I feel really strong about. The rest of the list is how I'd rank it too.
  9. So, I don't know if this has been mentioned, but Dimitri Payet who's now 36 signed with Vasco da Gama in Brasil in a random FM-like transfer. I just saw a video of his arrival and it's quite impressive. He arrived Sunday at 6am! Apologies if this has been posted.
  10. In my opinion she shouldn't start and if she does it's based on name alone and I don't mean because of what happened in the semis. I've watched every match this world cup. She came in as a sub in all but the last where they started her. She didn't add anything and Spain played amazingly without her. When she finally got into the starting 11 she didn't have a good game either. She is a great player and definitely (one of) the best Spain ever had but she's been injured and didn't play a minute of football for a whole year(!) before this tournament. There are better options there. I understand there's also the problem of her and the coaches not seeing eye to eye and maybe she's being benched because of that too, I won't deny it, but the truth is the team as a whole has been better without her this WC.
  11. I support a lower league club and maybe because of that I believe every cup is important, but I understand for those used to winning the premier league or the champions league it may feel irrelevant. Still, Harry Kane hasn't won any of those, so yeah...
  12. I don't know if it's true because I haven't seen an official announcement but apparently, according to a German newspaper, he's on the squad facing RB Leipzig for the German supercup later today?

See, I didn't feel it as much with Miss Murder, because while December underground was obviously not similar to their work in the 90's, that shift in style started with Sing the Sorrow. I remember at the time Sing the Sorrow came out I had just seen them in the Art of Drowning tour a couple of years before that came out, and that's when I felt "Wow. This doesn't sound like old AFI at all". When Miss Murder was released I was already used to that, I guess. At the time I really didn't like that sound at all, but then again I was in college and I listen to a lot of stuff now I didn't back then so I'm sure I would have enjoyed it a lot more had it been released this year.
  14. Spain keep looking strong. They've been really strong in every game so far, except for their heavy loss to Japan where they basically weren't able to get any goals despite having a ridiculous amount of possession and were killed by Japan's quick counterattacks. Spain vs Sweden is going to be an interesting one. Sweden didn't look great to me at any point in the tournament, good but not great. However they're VERY efficient and they have very good defenders and goalkeeper. If they manage to stop Spain's strong possession game and manage to score first, I think they have it in the bag.
  15. I saw him playing during the U20 World Cup. He played well enough. Scored a few goals. I didn't get the idea he was the next big thing but I haven't seen him play a minute of club football so I don't really know.
  16. They're also a lot of fun live and still putting on a great show to this day. Totally recommend checking them out. Anyway, hopefully Adolescents S/T gets a good review. I love it.
  17. I enjoyed reading that. I won't claim to know much about Bjork's discography. It's really not for me so I haven't listened to it enough. However, being one of my sister's faves I've actually listened to her music quite a bit. As a solo artist, the songs I enjoy the most are Crystalline and Declare Independence. I believe both of them belong to albums you rated poorly. However, I do like all her bands from before she went solo and always recommend for people who like a bit of No Wave and more experimental post-punk and may not be aware she was a part of those bands before. Her first band Tappi Tikarass and her second (assuming I'm not missing other bands she might have been a part of) Kukl are both really cool. The final band before going solo, the Sugarcubes is still cool but I really only listen to their first album. You can see in their last album she was already thinking of going in a different direction.
  18. Yeah, I mean, it would have been unfair because they definitely weren't one of the worst teams in the group, but the fact that it was that close should be seen as a wake-up call of sorts.
  19. Even if they go through, which they probably will (as they should), I'll admit this group stage was far from impressive. Wasn't expecting it at all. They may indeed have problems if they face decent teams in the Knockout stages and considering it seems they may end up second in the group stage, that would mean facing Sweden, and that will be tough. Too tough maybe?

Never heard the demo but the EP is great.

Yeah. They cancelled the whole tour just a few hours before their first show (I was there.. many people had no idea they weren't playing). Hopefully he gets better soon.
  22. I decided to read the comments (most were obviously about that) and the amount of blatant hate speech in there is ridiculous. I know most likely nothing will be done about it but it got me really upset so I reported some just because fuck them.
  23. Technically, Australia are home already. I'll show myself out.
