  1. Someone on Amazon.co.uk marketplace is selling them. Once in game we can't buy a season pass but that seems to be the only restriction.
  2. I can't defend for crap on this. And the CPU's 3rd down conversion rate is close to 99.9%. I want to like this game a lot, its just a bit too much of a motherfucker for someone who's not been a fan of the sport long enough to learn the ins and outs of play selection and defence reading; and who only plays video games casually. Also, after having got Madden like a week after this, most of what I liked about the gameplay here is in Madden anyway, though I do like a lot of the little touches that aren't present in Madden and the large number of teams is great,
  3. I suppose it could have just been a one-off - I haven't had any particular problems defensively so far (though I've only had a handful of matches); just in that match whenever I went up the CPU's next drive saw a mega gain from Spiller.
  4. First thoughts: Fuck CJ Spiller. Vs. the Bills he's basically the CPU's 'need points Get out of Jail free' card. At one point he practically teleported the length of the pitch. Annoying to comfortably beat the CPU for 1st downs, passing yards and TOP (and get normally good enough rushing yards too) and still lose cos it just runs in a few 70+ yard touchdowns to keep level. Still liking the game a lot mind >_>
  5. Loved loved loved loved LOVED the ending to that. The set-up of the episode was clumsy but it delivered a great final act and the final scene with Nolan and Stahman was a wonderfully end: simple yet highly effective and a terrific moment. Shows that episodes don't need massive cliff-hangers to hook people in and make them gag for more, Stahma and Datak are already completely brilliant.
  6. I'm enjoying it so far, and I think it'd be prepared to stick with it a little longer than I otherwise might because the potential of the show is sky high. Datak and Starhma are already one of the best couples on TV, Bowler (as Nolan) has a rugged charisma, Irisa manages to be a pastiche of every troubled teen in sci-fi history and STILL be good, and Julie Benz Second episode I felt squandered a great 'story of the week,' but episode three got the mix of stand-alone story and character development (the show's strongest area so far) spot-on; the story of the week allowed for exploration of character, while in episode two they weren't really linked at all. The effects are Schrödinger’s CGI, both impressive and dodgy looking at the same time; as if they spent 90% of the FX budget on 10% of the required work... So yeah, I'll be sticking with it. I just hope each episode isn't a 'muder mystery,' style show. It can be a bread and butter, fine, but as I said the potential for stories in that universe is huge.
  7. That was wonderful fun and it's becoming obvious that there are a handful of writers, Gatiss certainly included, who can be relied upon to write a good, atmospheric and fully developed episode of Who and a few who can't. I admit in other series it would have just been fun filler, but due to the average quality of this series so far it felt like so much more, Strax as ever was fantastic.
  8. He did write Luther. Which took 2/3 episodes to get good, but WAS then good. Maybe by next season he'll have got the hang of Who >_>
  9. Possibly the worst episode of Who since the RTD era? The end certainly the same amount of silliness and lack of invention as the worst stories from that era of Who and it was a return to the 'sonic screw-driver saves all,' style of deus-ex-machina from that period of Who as well. The first 30 minutes were just boring. The only good thing about it was The Doctor's speech/rant at the Old God at the end, Last weeks episode was fun filler, The Idiots Lantern with the Internet, but I thought that Clara felt like a real character and that Coleman and Smith had good chemistry. Tonight - almost entirely down to the script I think - Clara came across as a cheap Rose Tyler clone and she had zero chemistry with Smith. Still, next week is a Mark Gatiss IIRC who's generally a good hand, and has the Ice Warriors to look forward to...
  10. Garrus. Always Garrus. The point of the Mass Effect series for me was: Garrus saves the universe and Shepherd tags along for the ride.
  11. And the Mean Street Posse. Even more disappointing when the 'Mean Street Posse' announce name is in the game. I want Pete Gas gosh-darnit! And Steve Blackman; but I've downloaded a good CAW of him.
  12. Wasn't there an early rumour that Cumberbatch was playing Gary Mitchell? If so, that could explain the superhuman leap, and possibly the ship being pulled out of the water and flung into San Francisco. Anyway, I've seen somebody describe Cumberbatch's Voice-over in the trailer as being "ear porn" and I couldn't agree more!
  13. Yeah, it's just the timing I need to get right. I'll try calling for the ball just as I begin to get free. Thanks.
  14. I started a career as a single player for the first time, as a Wide Receiver. I used random.org to select my team and I ended up with the Panthers. I'm having trouble getting my timing right for throwing to my player. Am I timing the throw exactly like I would if I were just controlling the QB in a standard exhibition game? Because that doesn't seem to be working so well - its enough of an issue for me to be wondering if the CPU is throwing to me but is wildly inaccurate, or if the timing has a different mechanic when I'm just playing as a single player.
  15. The crappy writing for the character sucked the life out of Cyclops, not James Marsden.
  16. Survival of the Fittest looks interesting... I'm thinking of buying King of Tokyo (looks fun, plus rampaging Kaiju monsters FTW) to use as a quick and simple way to pass time and as the intro to a longer gaming session, with something much more indepth to follow like Escape from Colditz or Axis and Allies. Have been looking at Agricola as well. I want to expand my games collection which currently rests at The Good the bad and the Munchkin, Gloom and World Cup Monopoly 1998... Yeah, much expansion needed.
  17. The answer is Revolutionary Road; although Shutter Island is also an acceptable choice.
  18. Has anyone else had problems editing matches in Universe mode? I've set up ROH as a third major brand and whenever I edit a match using 'customise freely,' I pick the participants and then get a loading screen for ever.... Anyone else have this issue? It isn't a freeze, the game still plays music and the logo still spins in the bottom right corner and I can still get back to the Playstation dashboard. Just nothing happens. At all. Ever.
  19. A little problem: In Universe mode I want to do away with the current Raw and Smackdown and Superstars shows and just run an Attitude era Raw/Smackdown/Heat with the Attitude era guys. I assigned some downloaded CAWS to the attitude era 'Raw is War' brand. I deleted Superstars. I edited the current Raw show by turning Universe Draft off, changed the arenas, logos etc and told it to use the Raw is War split. I'm having problems with Smackdown. I can't assign the Raw is War roster to the show because it's greyed out. I've taken the existing SD! Roster off and now the show is greyed out because their 'aren't enough superstars assigned to it.' How do I make it utilise the Raw is War roster? Or do I have to create an arbitrary split of the attitude era guys and assign one half to Smackdown even though I don't want a split and have turned the damn thing off? I've already changed each PPV to the Raw is War roster. Any help much appreciated
  20. I know! I almost won it too, but had a shot cleared off the line just before the whistle.
  21. I seem to have reached that point in UT where I don't have enough coins for a Silver or a Gold pack, but I need better players to be competitive in the off-line modes; so I've switched my attention to the career mode and playing random friendlies to actually improve my game. I'll switch back to UT at some point tho.
  22. My first goal as a Pro for Accrington Stanley (on loan from Swansea.) I scored another header (this time from a corner), got injured and was substituted at half-time. http://www.easports.com/media/play/video/138904233
  23. Thanks chief. Began at Swansea, have been sent out on loan to Accrington Stanley. Should have scored in a friendly, as I was put through on goal but the camera zooming in behind my player confused me somewhat and I misjudged how close the keeper actually was and just ended up running into him like a pleb. Has anyone else found results in career mode to be a over exaggerated? My one game with Swansea, we beat Chievo 10-0 >_>
  24. How do you call for the ball in career mode, and are there any other controls exclusive to that mode? Also, do people stick with the default camera for the player career mode or change it to the standard TV one?
