  1. Cheers for all the help. I chose Ninja Gaiden for the X-Box (haven't actually played on it yet), and picked 'Unreal Championship' up for £7. I've been playing on that mostly. Thanks again, and i'll remember all your suggestions for the next time I have any money!
  2. Ok, i'm a week into my year (at least) out from college/university, and i'm bored. Until I get a job I have hardly any money, but to stop me getting bored I can buy any game for the PS2 or XBox. I am tempted to take advantage of various summer sales, and platinum ranges and get 2/3 games, so feel free to reccomend a few older games. I want something to get stuck into, to last a while, but i'll happily admit to not being the sharpest tool in the box, so nothing invloving too much thinking - a bit of a puzzle I can handle. Dont mind sports games (they are my fav actually, just want to try something different). Was thinking of Smash Court 2 (liked the first, and enjoy a good tennis game) for the PS2, OR Ninja Gaiden for the X-Box, but not sure on that - the thinking aspect again , but mostly because it may not be my kind of game. OR I could get one of the Unreal Championship games for the XBox for a £10, then get a couple of other platinum range games/on sale games for either console. This is preferred, as I can get a few games to get stuck into, and Unreal would make a nice no brainer deathmatch, to complement Halo's strategic approach. Undecided on the new Legends of Wrestling game, and Driver3 has had bad reviews. So, reccomend a PS2 or XBox game, or a few older ones - expcecially ones in platinum ranges (I can get a few games then), or ones that are in sales. No RPG's, and nothing with too much puzzle solving. I have Halo and Knights of the Old Republic. Help appreciated
  3. The Franz Ferdinand album, called Franz Ferdinand was the last CD i brought.
  4. www.ign.com to a lesser extent: www.computerandvideogames.com www.gamesradar.com
  5. Yeah, I may get this.......... *Realises he has no job, and that the council doesn't pay him to go to college anymore. Breaks down in tears* Sooner or later, i'll play this, hopefully when the price has crashed like what has happened with the other two. I enjoyed the expanded Tag Team options the LOW2 had such as 4 vs. 4, 2 vs. 2 vs. 2, and 2 vs. 2 vs. 2 vs. 2 (as well as the elimination variants of all of them) that are stupidly left off the Smackdown games. My only problem was it got a little boring after a few weeks. Anyway, expanded matches, more wrestlers makes me a happy bunny- i'll pick it up sooner or later.

  7. Either Toy Story 1 or 2. I really really like both. I'll say 1 though, as it's the original. Like Finding Nemo too, thats a good, really enjoyable film. Not too keen on 'A Bug's life' though to be honest. Watched it once Christmas, found it a little boring. Not seen Monsters Inc, but I want too, a few friends of mine say its really good.
  8. Think I saw it the other night "Helen, that French man's outside again..............." Good advert, still prefer the Brazil vs. Portugal one though.
  9. Every weekday - Neighbours *Hangs his head in shame, and slowly backs out of the thread* Apart from Neighbours: MONDAY: Nothings really TUESDAY: Nothing really WEDNESDAY: Nothing really THURSDAY: 24 FRIDAY: Raw SATURDAY: Nothing really SUNDAY: Nothing really and Little Britain when that was on. So, Neighbours, 24 and Raw. Excellent TV................... I DO watch TONNES of other shows, but they're the only ones i'll go out of my way to watch.
  10. It was weird, I went through this period about 2 years ago where I brought lots of comics - mostly Green Lantern and The Flash, but quite a lot of Batman (the Gotham Knights series) and Spider-man too, then I just stopped. Must have brought about 25/30 comics in about 3/4 weeks, then haven't got any since. Weird...................
  11. Not read it, but there is a book called 'Wiseguys', which is the book of the Goodfellas film. Like I said, not read it, but if its as good as the film....................
  12. It wasn't actually TAFKA who said that, it was a quote from German BigDirty. And you'd beg for our.................... YOU'D BEG DAMMIT!!!!!!
  13. Ok, we'll see how you react to Holland's victory tomorrow night Big Dirty, I agree with TAFKA, theres always going to be disagreements, so yeah like you said, lets agree to disagree :thumbs-up: I accept your point, we in no way outplayed them, but I feel we did play well. It was a good penalty, but not a great one, and not one that was as good as it could have/should have been.
  14. Its ok. Easy mistakes to make. And I would like to think I actually tried to contribute to this discussion by giving some arguments, strong or otherwise, rather than 'contribute' to this discussion in the way you have by making stuff up, and by being a dick, and in the case of the last post, not including an argument at all. Now, I don't recall ever saying, or trying to say any of the above except the first point, I even agreed with you in part about the Rooney point, and accepted yhat you could well be right about the penalty placement from Beckahm. The fact you just made all the rest up highlights the fact you are a complete fucking retard, who won't even try and engage in an adult discussion, and are being moronic. In future I suggest you actually try and debate the points raised instead of being sarcastic and being making things up. Just for the record, James is far from being the best keeper in the world, not every Zidane free-kick is unstopable, and there is a need to try and save one. I never said Rooney could dribble past everyone on the pitch, and never claimed Beckham was a penalty god. Whilst England played well, I have already admitted to France playing very well at times, and we in no means owned them. It wasn't bad luck at all. I never said we would win the tournament, though it is a possibility. I'd like to make it clear that I in no way consider England favourites. We aren't greater than every other nation, and i'm not going to let you drag me into an England vs. Germay flame war. Thank you.
  15. I'm still completely numb. I've not been this depressed in ages............ Big Dirty: I take his point about Rooney not passing to Vassell - i was thinking the same during the match as it happened, but in the end the penalty was won, and he was through on goal until Silvestre hacked him down. With the placement of the penalty, i've never found it harder to go either side maybe thats just me. If anything i'd have thought it was easier going where Beckham did, but maybe it's not. As I said earlier, the free-kick, whilst stupid of Heskey top concede it, was UNSTOPABLE. Anyone who argues is a fucking idiot. James stood where he was for a reason. If James hadn't have stood there, then Zidane could have just hit the free-kick over/through the goal, and there would have been no-one there to stop it. With James stood where he was, Zidane couldn't have hit it straight, because he would have had the wall and James to beat. James standing where he did meant Zidane had to curl the ball over the wall - a harder shot which he did. In this case you hope the ball doesn't go right into one corner, so the goalkeeper can dive across and save, but the ball went right into the corner, making it unstopable. Though it would have been nice having someone on that post. Plus, as Agent_Sm1th pointed out, it was Zidane territory, and he could have put it anywhere. I haven't explained that well, but I hope someone takes the point I was trying to make. I don't recall any of us posting 'utter crap', but even if we did, it would pale in comparison to the excrement that's spewing from your keyboard
  16. What? Just WHAT? Anyway, Beckhams penalty was very good, it was just a better save. No blame on Beckham from me. If Beckham would have scored, no-one would mention the fact Rooney should have played Vassell in at all. Hell, if Beckham had still missed, but we still won 1-0, no-one would mention it, so having a go at Rooney, who was MOTM IMO, is stupid. Sven should not have brought Heskey on, Rooney should have stayed on since as he was Man of the Match (though Campbell and King were outstanding too). It's Heskey's fault for his awful challenge that gave the free-kick away, but the actual free-kick was unstopable. Anyone who suggests otherwise is a fucking idiot. Might have been nice to have a man on that post though. It's then Gerrards fault for his awful backpass, no fault of James really. I accept France played very well for most of the second half, but i'm just EXTREMELY gutted that we lead 1-0 until the 91st minute and lost. How you are winning in the 91st minute and lose i'll never know.
  17. Same here. I'm going to combine a few comments already posted here, and call it a gay, needless, pointless, stupid waste of time. Just horrible, and unnessesary. Stupid............. And they're going on about making it commercially better, and getting people to change their perceptions of the league - but last time I checked, ITS THE SAME FRIGGIN LEAGUE, WITH THE SAME FRIGGIN TEAMS! It's like calling a pile of shit a beautiful rose - it's still a pile of shit. Not that i'm calling the lower divisions shit or anything Plus, the name 'The Championship' will only get confused with 'The Premiership' by casual fans - I.E Parents: Me: Sheffield United could win the Championship today! Mum: Oh, have Arsenal slipped off form then? Me: No, Arsenal are in a different league................ Mum: But I heard someone say Arsenal could win the Championship today Me: They could win the Premier league Championship, we could win the Championship, the championship....... Mum: I don't understand Me: ARRRRGHHHHHHHHH And so forth and so forth
  18. Nicky Butt. I don't hate anyone, but I like Butt the least, and he is pushing me. I just see no real reason why he should be in the squad, and he hasn't even played well (for England or otherwise) since the World Cup two years ago. I can't stand the guy. And David James comes close. He is awful. And he's the luckiest guy to play for England twice - lucky because, until Sven gives Robinson (who could improve slightly IMO) and extended run in the team, he's the best we have..............
  19. No points for assists? Bang goes the need for 4 mindfielders.......... GK: Kahn - Germany RB: Laursen - Denmark CB: Terry - England CB: Jensen - Denmark LB: Sagnol - France CM: Kallstrom - Sweden CM: Zidane - France CM: Jeremies - Germany CF: Owen - England CF: Bobic - Germany CF: Henry - France Value: 49.5M
  20. Yeah, thought thats what you meant . Thats a damn good record, a very good one. I think Vassell should play more, but I agree with MDK - Vassell is best used in the last 20/25 minutes where he can use his pace on tiring defenders, he is excellent at that.
  21. How exactly, when he has 14 caps (around that) and has scored 6 (might only be 4, but more likely 6). He might be averaging a goal every three games, but certainly not three goals a game.
  22. Oh. They might be re-re releasing it then! Or maybe just sticking the 'NES Classics GBA' tag on it. And yes, the NES style GBA console will be available in England. Might get Zelda and Super Mario Bros. Is that a good/bad/indifferent idea?
  23. We look a lot better, and a LOT more comfortable with a flat 4 in midfield. Awful defending though, as per usual. Nothing else to say really. Scholes is playing really well too, bar skying that early chance.
  24. That may be true in some cases, there are some games (like I've said, never played them, I'm presuming here) in the series that are great like Super Mario Bro's and Zelda. Plus, with online retailers like Amazon, the games will be closer to £15 then £20, adding to the good value. For the price of a normal GBA game, you could have two good/great games like Super Mario Bro's and Zelda. And whilst Pac-Man might not be the greatest of games, the series nees padding out a little (might seem a bit daft with just 2/3 games), and Pac-man is one of the more well known older game characters. I do see your point though. Anyway, are these games (or some of these games) good/worth getting?
  25. Sorry if this is up, did a quick search and found nothing, so here goes: On July 9th, Nintendo are re-releasing a series of NES classics for the GBA. The series will be called 'NES Classics GBA', and will retail for around £19.99 (not sure about an American release, they may already be out over there?). The games include: * Legend of Zelda * Ice Climber * Pac-Man * Bomberman * Excitebike * Super Mario Bro's * Xevious I presume more titles wil be added to the range. They will also release a version of the GBA that is modelled to look like the NES console. This will retain for around £90. So, any thoughts? I never had a NES, so are these games worth getting? Any games that should be included? Your general thoughts? Again, sorry if this is old news, I just found out.
