  1. The beat for Stand Up Tall is funky, but his lyrics are trash and his voice is quite annoying.

  3. Someone recommend me some good new music. Any genre at all, but preferably something a little 'different'.

  5. You don't need to separate Hip-Hop and Rap, they aren't separate genres. Anyway... The Game, Kanye West, Ludacris - Whole City Behind Us Tupac and Biggie - Hail Mary, Our Father (DJ Green Lantern mix) Joe Budden - Whatever It Takes (forget what you may have heard by Joe, it's not 'mindless tripe') Ty feat. Roots Manuva - Oh U Want More? The Roots - Boom (if you've never heard Kool G Rap and/or Big Daddy Kane, skip this), Guns Are Drawn, Don't Say Nuthin' You need some Canibus. Just get a bunch of freestyles, especially the 8 minute DJ Clue freestyle with Journalist, who is also crazy good. Shyne - Diamonds & Mac-10's If you want any of them and can't find them, lemme know.

Jazzy Jeff and P.Diddy do sample a lot. But then, so does hip-hops new golden boy Kanye West. Rather than one's I don't like, I'll list a few that I do like. Nas - Thief's Theme (Iron Butterfly - In-A-Gadda-Da-Vida) Tupac - Starin' Through My Rear View (Phil Collins - In The Air Tonight) Canibus - Genabis (Candyman Theme) Notorious B.I.G. - Notorious BIG (Duran Duran - Notorious) Joe Budden - Big Shot (Billy Joel - Big Shot)
  7. The term you're looking for is 'overlooked', not 'underrated'.
  8. I won't be able to do anything til tomorrow, so if someone else wants to replace me for now...
  9. The song's called Method Man from the classic 36 Chambers album.
  10. Anyone know the story behind this? It's an old track, but I've only just heard it. I've never heard it brought up before, which is odd since Serj Tankian uses 'nigga' quite liberally. Usually anything like that sparks controversy, but I've never heard anything about this. It's a dope song though.
  11. MF Doom. I found his last album in HMV, so it shouldn't be too hard to find. Same goes for Murs. I've heard REALLY good stuff about Foreign Exchange's Connected album. I haven't had a chance to hear anything, but there are sample here. Go buy Tipping Point as well, if you haven't already.
  12. I remember the last one failing and being disappointed. Hopefully this'll last long enough for me to join in.
  13. The song does krack me up. Nach Afrika kommt Santa Claus Und vor Paris steht Mickey Maus
  14. Mike Dirnt, Bootsy Collins
  15. Personally I think the screenshots for CM5 look better than the screens for FM. Don't get me wrong, FM will probably be a better game, but the 2D pitch in particular is ugly as hell. *EDIT* The 2D pitch here looks shite, but the 2D pitch here isn't so bad.
  16. Fat Joe, Ma$e and Eminem - Lean Back (remix) Kanye West, Ma$e and Common - Jesus Walks (remix) Xzibit and The Game - Ride and Smoke (remix) The Game, Kanye West and Ludacris - The Whole City Behind Us Jin - So Afraid That's what's currently hot in the rap world.
  17. I hate London accents in rap. It seems like most UK rappers either put on a London accent or an American one, regardless of where they're from. That said, I haven't heard anything by him.
