Razvan Rat has a virus and is out for 8 SMEGGING MONTHS!!!! So I'm just left with Clichy, Kieran Gibbs (who doesn't really do much), and some 17 yr old regen worth £2.1m (still in U18's). I've been bidding for Mattock but Boro want over £10m for him! I've got £39m budget but I dont really wanna spend loads of money on a 2nd choice player. Any suggestions? By the way I'm just starting season 2011/12..

OK, how the hell do you appoint an assistant manager to an international team?? I am managing Arsenal (3 league wins out of 3), and have recently taken the England job. But I haven't got an Assistant Manager for England. How the heck do I appoint one?! Cos everytime I go to the England screen and search in the Staff bit, and offer someone a contract it comes up with 'Arsenal will let you pay *amount* per week'. So how do I offer someone an assistant managers job at England and not Arsenal??

If you want a quality 2nd choice left-back, look at Razvan Rat. Not sure what update you're playing with but on mine he's transfer listed at £2.6m. Very very solid defensively and has a killer free-kick. Set him as free-kick taker and he'll get at least 10 goals a season.

Into my third season with Arsenal. Threw away the treble last season with a dodgy tactical decision in the Champs League final. Managed to get two second half goals against Real and go 2-0 up. I decide to shut up shop, switch mentality to defensive and bring on Fazio in place of Adebayor to make a 5 man back-line. Real manage to come back to 2-2 and win it on penalties. Gutted. In the close season I made some big name signings. Flogged Van Persie and Denilson, and bought in Huntelaar (25m), Zapata (24.5m) and Francesco Bolzoni (9m, Italian DM who looks decent). Got a pretty straight forward Champs League group with Lyon, Anderlecht and Hannover. My first team currently looks like this: Asenjo Clichy Fazio Toure Sagna Nasri Veloso Fabregas Walcott Adebayor Vela Subs: Almunia, Zapata (rotated with Fazio), Rat, Bolzoni, Arshavin, Eduardo, Huntelaar (rotated with Vela) Other squad players that play regularly are Eboue, Mascio, Wilshere, and Saivet

I DID IT!!!! I FUCKING DID IT!!!!! Yes, finished 1st in the Premiership as Arsenal, but I went and 'did a Wenger' and went the whole league season undefeated!!!!! And my record was better than when Arsenal did it in real life. They managed 26 wins and 12 draws, I did it with 28 wins and 10 draws!!! But bloody hell, it was so VERY nearly heartbreak on the last day. Playing Sunderland away, Cisse chips in a great goal on 15 mins. With nothing to lose, I set tactics to All Out Attack with 3 strikers for the whole second half but their keeper turns in a performance that earns him a rating of 9.2!!! On 89 mins it reveals there is only 1 minute injury time. With the time ticking up to 89:45, Eboue skins a defender on the wing and gets a cross in, after a real long scramble in the six yard box, in runs my captain Fabregas to blast the ball into an empty net!!!! I promptly go absolutely nuts!!! My record in the league reads: Played 38, Won 28, Drawn 10, Lost 0, GF 72, GA 18, GD +54, Pts 94 Got knocked out of the FA Cup in the semis 1-0 by Man City, Carling Cup 4th round by Man Utd 3-1 (I played reserves/kids, Utd played first team), and went out of Champs League first knockout round on pens to Marseille

Anyone ever done an unbeaten Premier League season? After 28 games my Arsenal team still hasnt lost in the league. Just lost in the first knockout round of Champs League on pens to Marseille though. Almunia is out for a month and Adebayor is out for two. Bugger! Would be awesome if I could go unbeaten, but will be tough especially with Ade out

Watched two films today: Tropic Thunder: Been looking forward to seeing this since it came out at the cinema. Trailers looked very good, but I was left disappointed. Just didn't make me laugh, apart from the last 20 mins or so. I really enjoyed it from when they went into the drugs farm place to rescue Ben Stiller. The last 20 mins saved it from being a total turkey. 5/10 Alien: Big fan of sci-fi films, but shamefully I've never seen any of the Alien films, until today. Really enjoyed it, and might even watch Aliens tonight (recently got the first three films on dvd). Really atmospheric, plent of scares, and impressice special fx for the time. 8/10

Not sure if this is the right forum but what the heck... OK, so everytime i go to watch a Youtube vid or watch any kind of video on the net I get a message saying that my Javascript is turned off. I googled how to turn it back on and it said I need to click 'Enable' in the Active Scripting bit of my Internet Options (Security tab), so i've done that and its still saying the same thing. It also suggests downloading the new Flash which I've done too! My internet crashed this afternoon and when it came back on my homepage had changed to some random Packard Bell webpage. I expect thats when my Javascript got screwed but only noticed it tonight. Any suggestions?

So I create a Psycho Sid and after 4-5 dodgy starts on Legend Killer I manage to get through all 10 Legends in one go, despite having a quarter health since the 4th guy! I remember seeing there was an achievement for doing it in under 30 mins but forgot about that, and wasn't really in a rush to get through them. My time for beating 10 guys?? 30 mins 18 secs!!!! Grrrrrr!!!

Is there a way to do individual finishers in a tag team match? I've played twice as the Horsemen now and every time i try to do Flairs figure-4 finisher it hits a double team Doomsday Device!

Been contemplating getting this, but seen the mixed reviews and thought I'd wait for a price drop. Its currently going for £26 and change on Amazon, is the game worth it at this price?

In my 4th season as Arsenal and realised I have far too many midfielders, and just going into the January window I wanna try and flog a few that won't amount to anything. But I've got a fair few promising youngsters that I have accumulated either by signing them or through the reserves. I'm looking to offload 2 of the following, is there anyone who develope into something special? I usually try and name two youngsters on the bench every league game and bring them on for a run-out when/if i have the game won. Abou Diaby - established first teamer in real-life but he rarely gets a game now due to my clogged centre midfield. Only worth £2m due to lack of games. Mascio - signed for £275k last season after getting rave reviews on the FM09 Facebook page lol. Starts Carling Cup games but yet to start a league game. Valued £2m Aaron Ramsey - features every now and again in the league and is usually pretty solid. Only one goal in nearly 35 appearances (near 20 of them as sub). Value hasn't gone up from £5.5m since the start of the game. Jack Wilshere - Big fan of the kid in real life, but doesn't seem as good in this game. 2 goals from 24 appearances (prob half and half starts/subs), and average ratings in the 6's usually Nacer Barazite - Only 9 appearances in 3.5 seasons (1 goal), but his match ratings are usually solid and he's worth a decent £4.8m Any suggestions on the two I should flog?

Just started my 4th season at Arsenal and amazingly I'm still enjoying it (usually I get bored at big clubs after 2 seasons). Won Premiership and FA Cup Double in the last two seasons, along with the Carling Cup and Champions League in my first season. Starting line-up is: Asenjo Clichy Toure Fazio Sagna Walcott (rotated with Nasri) De La Red (rotated with Veloso) Fabregas Srna (assist king!) Adebayor Van Persie (rotated with Bendtner who was a machine last season) My bench usually consists of: Ustari, Jordan Spence (very solid young CB signed frpm West Ham for £6.5m), Veloso or De La Red, Vela, Nasri or Walcott, Eduardo or Bendtner. Ramsey and Wilshere also feature regularly from the bench and from the start against lower teams. Last seasons FA Cup Final against Man Utd was one of my most exciting games ever. Thought I didn't have a chance after Rooney scored after 10 mins and Fazio got sent off after 19. Brought on a defender to replace him, then got an injury to Cesc. Asenjo turns in an amazing performance to keep it 1-0, and luckily Adebayor pops up on 87 mins to take it to extra time. I bring on Theo in extra time to give my attacks some pace, he then gets injured after 3 mins. No more subs means i'm down to 9 men against Man Utd! Yikes! I decide to play for a shoot-out so i go to an Ultra Defensive formation. And on 119 mins, Asenjo boots it upfield, Vidic misses his header, Adebayor sneaks in, rounds the keeper and its 2-1!!!! I promptly go absolutely nuts!

Not a big fan of getting numbers on football shirts. Had Vieira 4 on one of my old Arsenal ones. And I got Bergkamp 10 on the redcurrant one they released for Arsenals last season at Highbury. It was Bergkamps last season, so I thought it was fitting.

Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull: 5/10 Aliens?? Seriously?! In an Indiana Jones movie??! I'd avoided spoilers from this movie despite hearing it wasn't that good cos I'm a big Indy fan and wanted to make my mind up. The reviews were right. I wanted to like it, I really did, I tried to like it but all I could think about it was 'Meh'. OK, it wasn't horrible! If the whole thing didnt revolove around aliens the score would probably be a 6, maybe even scraping a 7. Yes the script wasnt the best in the world, but for the most part it felt like an Indy film (aliens aside!). Shia Laboeuf wasn't as bad as I thought he was gonna be. Had to cringe at Indy surviving an atomic bomb by hiding in a fridge though. But the action sequences were mostly top notch (well, apart from a major 'WTF?' at Mutt swinging through the jungle like Tarzan!) So yeah basically if you can look past the stupid plot, its a solid adventure film. But being such a big Indy fan the alien thing just ruined it for me. Probably wouldn't watch it again.

Anyone know what to do when a player dislikes another? Gallas just said he dislikes Nasri in my game, does it affect performance if they play together? Is there anything I can do to make them have a man-hug and sort their shit out or do I just have to wait?

OK, I need help. Steam has decided to bugger up on me. I ran a 'CHKDSK' disk check last night cos my MSN Messenger was getting all sorts of error messages and it recommended running one. Now I try to go onto Steam to start up Football Manager but I get a message reading 'C:/Program Files/Steam/steam.exe is not a valid Win32 application'. And when i try and open it from the Start menu the message reads 'This file does not have a program associated with it for performing this action. Create an association in the Set Associations control panel' Please! Any help! I was doing really well as Man City and don't wanna start over!

Does anyone know what Arshavins best position is? I usually play him on the left wing of my Man City team where he is usually quite good, but the two games I have tried him up front he has scored. Its coming up to the transfer window and my main 3 strikers (Robinho, Jo, Cardozo) are not in the best of form so thinking of bringing in another striker. Would it be better to give Arshavin a try up front for a few games and stick Petrov on the wing?

Having fun on my new Man City game going into December. Beat Arsenal on penalties to get to the Carling Cup Semis (but not hopeful about beating Chelsea over 2 legs!), am into the Knockout rounds of the UEFA Cup after getting 4 wins out of 4 in my group (including a tasty 3-0 away win against Ajax). Spent all my budget on: Asenjo, Lescott, David Luiz, Diarra, Veloso, Arshavin, and Cardozo. Flogged Fernandes for £6m to Lyon. Am fifth in the league, with the top two way ahead of the pack. Told the board i'd qualify for Europe so i'm aiming for top 6, although if i can stay solid i could scrape into the Champs League. Need to improve my shitty goal difference though, its only something like +4. Solid defence but i just dont score that many. Think i've only scored more than two in a game in the league once!
