  1. what...the...fuck? Aviator won every other fucking award, but Scorsese can't win that one?
  2. Don Cheadle deserves the best actor award.
  3. Analyze That- 5.5/10 It could be better, but it wasn't horrible. The first one was certainley better, but I was entertained to a point in this one. The guy who plays Joey is great, though. Glory- 9/10 I doubted Matthew Broderick's acting skills before I saw this movie. I like Ferris Bueller, but it didn't need tremendous acting to be good. His acting was great in this one, but Denzel and Freeman steal the show(expectedly). The fact that Freeman didn't get an Oscar until this year is a real shame. House of the Dead- 1/10 This movie is awful. Just plain awful. This could quite possibly be the worst movie that I've ever seen. It feels like a soft core porno movie. You know, those movies where theres a killer that breaks into someones house, but before they kill them, they have to have sex with them. Yea, it was really, really bad. Identity- 8.5/10 This movie pleasently surprised me. The people I know that have seen it say it sucks. Well, they obviously don't know good movies because this movie was great. The twist at the end ruled. The only complaint I have is the big bald guy's eyes. What the hell was up with his eyes?
  4. I seriously hope your not a Hendrix fan. If you are, your a crappy one for not knowing that song.
  5. Can't wait to go to Baltimore and Chicago to see the Red Sox play the O's and Cubs. Its easier to get tickets there then it is here. As for the season, I think the Sox will do well. Our rotation was a bit better last year, but our lineup is looking better I'd say. Heres to an exciting season!
  6. whats even more underrated is The Great Mouse Detective. That was probably my favorite Disney movie as a kid.
  7. I, Robot was entertaining and wasn't as bad as I expected. Troy is underrated I think. I thought it was at least decent, but everyone else seems to think that its shit...
  8. EBERT "Million Dollar Baby" "Kill Bill Vol. 2" "Vera Drake" "Spider-Man 2" "Moolaade" "The Aviator" "Baadasssss" "Sideways" "Hotel Rwanda" "Undertow" ROEPER "Hotel Rwanda" "Eternal Sunshine Of The Spotless Mind" "The Aviator" "Sideways" "House Of Flying Daggers" "Million Dollar Baby" "The Terminal" "Kill Bill Vol. 2" "Spanglish" "Collateral" Eternal Sunshine not on Ebert's list? Hotel Rwanda all the way down at number 9. I'm starting to think differently of Ebert. It should also be pointed out that Ray is not on either list, yet its up for Best Picture at the Oscars.
  9. my favorite is Edward Scissorhands. Donnie Brasco is a very close second though.
  10. Cold Creek Manor- 5.5/10 Er, this movie was in the middle. It wasn't suspenseful like it was suppose to be, and it didn't have any scary parts at all. But, I still liked the movie for some reason. My Little Eye- 6.5/10 I thought this movie was pretty meh. The twist wasn't expected by me which certainley helped the grade of it. It was a pretty cool concept though. The camera angles and such in this movie made it even more scary. The Matrix- 9/10 Fantastic movie that revolutionized the way movies are made today. I'm amazed at how big of an impact this movie has, really. Anyway, Fishburne is one of my favorite actors, and the Morpheus character is badass. So is Joe Pantoliano's character.
  11. Look at Pulp Fiction, though. Prior to that, could anyone have pictured John Travolta in such a serious role? It's almost a Tarantino trademark to use juxtaposition when casting recognisable actors, by putting them in roles that we wouldn't generally associate with them. And God knows Sandler needs to get out of his pigeon-hole. ←
  12. Mendes was in Training Day? Was she Denzel's girlfriend?
  13. does anyone else think that Sandler isn't fit for a Tarantino or war movie?
  14. Brady is a good QB IMO. A top 5 QB behind Manning, Culpepper, and possibly Mcnabb. But hes not the best QB in the league, as people here, and in the media constantly say. Manning and Culpepper are better then him, no doubt in my mind.
  15. We should sue Seriously, from what I'm hearing, AD sucked and was good at the same time. I'll watch it when I get the chance hopefully... damn local news. ←
  16. Tom Brady does not suck, but hes also not the best QB in the NFL, which is what people say he is. He won 3 championships which is more then every QB in the league, but that doesn't make him better. I hate that argument. Thats what everyone uses around here. "Tom Brady is better then Manning because he wins". If Manning had a defense like that, I'm sure he'd have 3 Super Bowls...
  17. yea, I agree that having no cap was a big advantage, but the Cowboys were still more dominant in my eyes. Don't take anything away from those Buffalo teams, they were good teams. And the Cowboys dominated them not once, but twice in the Super Bowl. While the Pats on the other hand, have won all 3 of their games by a field goal.
  18. but the Pats DID bring in pro bowl caliber players such as Corey Dillion, Rodney Harrison, Ted Washington, and Keith Traylor. They might not be future HoF guys, but they're certainley great players, and they all weren't there from the start. I'd consider it a dynasty, but the fact that the 2001 team is a much different team then the 2003 team. and the 2004 team puts a bit of a damper on it.
  19. this Super Bowl could have been so much better, if both teams played to their potential. Eagles were damn lucky that they only lost by 3. Mcnabb's clock management was really horrible too. They had a chance to win, but they just failed to do so. EDIT: and for the record, 00's Pats< 90s Cowboys
  20. Ocelot is one of the best characters in any game I've played, not just of the year, or in the MGS series. Eva always seemed like she was gonna turn on you at any moment, but she never did(until the end of course, after your done playing the game) The storyline is really one of the best storylines in a game that I've played. I never focused too much on the camos, because I really didn't try to get them that much. The game owned, and was my favorite game of last year(when I statrted playing it was December).
  21. A Bronx Tale- 7/10 Good movie. Chazz Palmenteri was great in this I thought, and he certainley deserves more roles because hes not in many movies. The Usual Suspects- 9/10 Just saw this for the first time after hearing people and praise about it, and now I see why. Great movie. Kevin Spacey is a great actor and he certainley shows it in this movie. Chazz Palmenteri deserves more roles and screen time dammit! The last 10 minutes or so of the movie are quite possibly the best portion of not only this movie, but every movie I've seen.
