  1. my mom works for Nestle Waters(they own Poland Springs and tons of other bottled water companies) and her boss owns a basketball team in some league(the CBA or something, some minor league). She told me Artest's agent contacted him and asked if he could play on the team, but not go to their practices. He rejected it though.
  2. Is his "Killin' Em Softly" HBO special any good? ←
  3. heh, if New York accepts that, they're killing themselves...
  4. so the Pirates trade a overpaid, but decent catcher and now they want a crappy overpiad catcher? If Colorado wasn't taking up 8 million of the contract, this deal would be murder.

  6. I see your points for OBP, but his power numbers are to like for my liking. 51 RBIs is not very good for an everyday catcher. Playing in Pittsburgh doesn't make a difference to me, s ince he ranked 8th on the team in that category. His RBI total was better then 12 other team's most common leadoff hitters. 4 of those 12 played less then 100 games. I'm not saying he isn't good, just not a top 5 catcher, and barely if even a top 10 catcher. BTW, the newest rumor is that Arthur Rhodes could be traded to LA in a deal for Milton Bradley.
  7. I remember seeing the trailer for that movie on E!'s Coming Attractions. It looked meh. It was suppose to be Christian Slater's big comeback, too.
  8. The lack of Carlton Banks and Bart Simpson makes me angry. Beside that though, good list. I like they're lists, actually...
  9. Goblet of Fire was the best book out of the 5 I read. The 5th movie is gonna be hard to make. The book is 2 times as big as the 4th...
  10. I never said I didn't like him, just that hes not "fantastic". Theres a difference between a top 10 catcher, and a fantastic catcher. I mean, he has a career high 14 HRs, and has hit 12 in the last 3 seasons combined. Not exactly "fantastic" stats. He is a good catcher, and possibly in the top 10, but hes not great by any means. Certainley not worth what hes getting paid...
  11. CNBC is trying to get popular I guess. They tried by giving John Mcenroe a talk show, and it didn't work, so Conan gets his slot.As for Comedy Central, I think its good now. 1:30-4 on Sundays: Tv Funhouse-Dilbert-Critic-Duckman-Duckman. Thats good, although I liked when Gary and Mike and Clerks were on along with The Critic.' One channel I can't stand is MTV. They have some good shows(Boiling Points and RW v.s. RR mainly), but most of the time I turn it on, its fucking Pimp My Ride. That show, and Xzibit, sucks.
  12. Halloween Ressurection- 6/10 Meh, I'm a huge fan of the series. I'm very lenient on the rating Serial Killing 101- 5/10 Maybe its that I don't quite like indie movies, but this movie wasn't appealing to me. It was funny at times, but just didn't spark enough interest in me. EDIT: And like Roc Revolt, I watched Bruce Almighty on HBO 7/10
  13. I wouldn't quite call Kendall fantastic...
  14. I liked the Yankees Suck chants...in Colorado. That made me laugh for a good week. The Who's Your Daddy chants are catchy, yet unoriginal. Now, "Who's your Dealer?" is certainley original...
  15. Woman: Halle Berry Man: Johnny Depp
  16. The Amityville Horror-6/10 Not good as I expected. Not really scary at all. The Last Boy Scout-7.5/10 Good movie, IMO. Willis is hilarious as always as well as Damon Wayans. A young Halle Berry also adds a bit to the rating...
  17. The Terminal- 7.5/10 I liked it. Very good movie. The plot to me seemed kind of boring at first, but Speilberg and Hanks make it interesting.
  18. Seed of Chucky- 2/10 EWW. This movie was just horrible. I thought that I would at least think its funny, but no. I didn't laugh once.
  19. Saw- 9.10 What a great film. I was surprised at the ending as well, which definitley adds to it. Nowadays, when a film's ending surprises me, I appreciate it greatly.
  20. so, the former Expos are improving, already acquiring Christian Guzman, Vinny Castilla(which they should have just re-signed Batista IMO), and Jose Gullien. How does everyone think there gonna do next year? I say, if they sign a good SP, they could be a 80-85 win team.
  21. that was disgraceful, although no one is really to blame. No matter which way you look at it, no one really did the "right" thing. Although, I do thing Artest is stupid for taunting the crowd. He was a dumbass before this incident though.
