  1. I guess the divide in wrestling has just moved on to the video game scene. I'm sure there are people hating on it to defend against WWE, and I'm sure (perhaps moreso) there are people blindly ignoring the faults to defend AEW. A couple of the reviews I've seen have said they were hesistant to criticise the game due to the abuse they received from the extreme AEW fans for negative opinions they had given in the build-up to the release. Based on that, the average scores it seems to be getting seem to be about right.
  2. Given how he performed today, de Vries might be out before the sprint race. Checo too. No penalty for Max by the way, possibly because nobody would believe that a Haas would get held up by Max.
  3. I don't think it's possible to convince me that Declan Rice is worth 2 and a half James Maddisons. Really pleased we got him.
  4. This is Red Bull/Marko we're talking about, so logic has to be taken out of the picture. I reckon Danny Ric for sure, his marketability is too big of a factor. The either Yuki or Ricciardo go to Red Bull to replace Checo in 2025.
  5. I wish the Just Stop Oil protestors had messed up the pitch and postponed the game, because this England bowling is not worth watching.
  6. Nothing against Tongue, but there's at least three seamers I'd pick ahead of him (four if Wood was fully fit), I've no idea what both Overton brothers and Chris Woakes have done wrong to get ignored. With regards to the report that has been run into cricket, it's 100% correct. I stopped scoring because I got so fed up of the culture, be it the treatment and privacy of their own wives and girlfriends, the fact that teams are selected based on friendships rather than talent or form (maybe that answers the above question about the Overtons and Woakes) and that if you dare be any different then you will be the subject of abuse. I once got locked in a changing room until I downed a pint (I don't drink), but they weren't smart enough to realise I had a key. If that's what I get for something so minimal, I hate to think what any people of colour have to go through. The sad thing is I don't think this will change anything. It feels like team sports are at the stage where this is so ingrained that it would be almost impossible to completely get rid of it.
  7. How on Earth did John Collins' stock fall so far that he gets traded for the hollowed out cask of Rudy Gay AND a pick?
  8. I enjoyed Secret Invasion as well. The AI opening doesn't bother me at all and there's genuine interest in almost every MCU character as to whether they're a Skrull or not. Well, at least the ones that have credits for the series.
  9. That fell apart rather quickly. England are on course to be the first ever test side to have a double centurion and a bowler taking 10 wickets to lose the match.
  10. I have to think it'll end in a draw, both sides have much better batting than bowling. With the greatest respect to someone likely doing it for the first time, Katherine Sciver-Brunt is one of the worst commentators TMS have ever had. Whilst it's fun to have someone commentate on their wife batting, pretending to be sick every time she faces a ball is really off-putting.
  11. The Timberwolves did a thing and actually drafted someone. Crazy days. Miller looks like a bit of a steal as well. Please allow me the opportunity for my yearly rant about how the NBA draft looks so amateurish when the players are picking up caps and being drafted to teams who have already traded the pick to someone else. It's so confusing to everyone, most of all the players, so just get the trades fast-tracked and make it correct. If the NFL can do it on a much larger scale I don't know why the NBA can't. Also, you have 60 picks to do in 4 hours. There is is no excuse for anyone to be drafted during an ad break.
  12. I am very worried that if he plays, he is going to get carted all around the park. Nothing against his talent, but the Aussies will target him for his inexperience.
  13. Robinson reminds me of so many cricketers I've met through the years, mainly fast bowlers, who have everything to say when things are going their way, and then when they're not doing as well they double-down by insulting people. Typical bully really, and he didn't exactly do much to cement his place in the team. I'd have no issue if he gets dropped for Wood (or the far superior Woakes) for the next test.
  14. 7 to win, this one's done. It'll be interesting to see how/if England can bounce back from this.
  15. Holy crap what a game. 2 to go now, Australia's tactic of giving Root endless caught and bowled chances didn't pay off. And now Cummins is brutalising his way to victory.
  16. Live by the Bazball, die by the Bazball. This Australian side just seem willing to roll with it and wait for the wickets to fall.
  17. Guess who was ready to turn on the grid walk at 7:30... Not a bad race, at this point if you just ignore Max then the rest of the racing is good.
  18. Only a 3 place penalty for Sainz as well, given he did the same, very dangerous thing twice he has got away lightly. 7pm BST start time by the way.
  19. Whilst I don't rate Gilles Villeneuve anywhere near as highly as the rest of the world, having Hulkenberg in car #27 on the front row at the circuit that is named after Villeneuve is quite cool.
  20. Gasly got absolutely shafted by people backing up there. Lucky there wasn't a serious accident.
  21. Bridgestone launches a bid to be the F1 tyre supplier. It's only a sole supplier contract so we won't see the return of the (much better) days of two tyre companies producing different tyres, adding an extra bit of interest to each race.
  22. It's pretty even at the moment, but I'd expect Australia to be ahead by lunch tomorrow. The chances England have wasted today are going to be a big deal. It's perhaps worth noting that Stokes is in terrible form with the bat and is bowling 10mph slower than he did at his pomp, at this point he may only be in the side for his leadership.
  23. I feel that chirping about the defensive field will be the last bit of one-upsmanship we get over Australia for a while.
  24. "We don't care about BazBall" say Australia, before bringing Nathan Lyon on and setting a field for the last ten overs of an ODI in the 10th over of a test match.
