  1. This trend of making the losing team walk through the winning team to pick up their medals needs to stop.
  2. "Joleon, head down there to celebrate with your former team" Meanwhile, former Man City player Steve McManaman must stay where he is.
  3. There is nobody less reliable in clutch time than Romelu Lukaku. I love him as a player, but how can you head that to the only place Ederson is? Also, Darren Fletcher has called Inter "Italy" so many times now and I find it quite amusing. You keep that bias hidden sir.
  4. And City lead. It didn't look like much, but the replays show what a good finish it was given how many people were in front of goal. Lukaku with the goal-line save!
  5. Whoever takes the lead, I am 99% certain it will be the result of the conceding team trying to play out from the back and messing it up. It seems both teams are incapable of doing it tonight. And KDB is off, which makes this very interesting.
  6. Well I take back everything I said. I thought the PGA board had given in to PIF because of the huge amount of money being thrown their way, not realising they were using it to help find a way to bring peace to the Middle East and ease tensions between the USA and terrorist groups. God bless those heroes. Those courageous, noblest of heroes.
  7. A couple of things linked to the same subject: Firstly, I wasn't aware that Jay Monahan had brought the families of the 9/11 victims out as a way to stick it to LIV, only for him to then get paid off by Saudi Arabia. That's disgusting. But don't worry, here's someone to set a new bar for disgusting. Bryson DeChambeau suggests 9/11 families should forgive Saudi Arabia - "Nobody's perfect"
  8. Oh how I wish I hadn't seen that, I really don't want to have to pre-order a game, but God knows I really want to... (It's Mortal Kombat 1 gameplay by the way, now that the video has been age-restricted).
  9. I enjoyed Across the Spider-Verse but I wasn't blown away by it like everyone else seems to be. It's fantastically animated, and I enjoyed a lot of the cameos (particularly the spoilered one), but it felt like a set-up movie rather than a completed one, probably because that's exactly what it is. And the cameo I mentioned...
  10. It's perhaps less us and more that I don't like one colour kits in general, but I think it's worse with white. It may be based on the trauma of getting my cricket kit clean. I also hope the women's team aren't going to be forced to wear all white, as that would completely go against what the players want.
  11. I really don't like us in white shorts.
  12. Sir Anthony Hopkins says Thor role was 'pointless acting' I'm getting a little tired of actors trashing their time in the MCU, even if they're as respected as Sir Anthony. It feels like they're saying it to appease the people who dismiss the MCU so they can be taken "seriously" again. Plus if it was so pointless and trivial, I assume he'll be giving back all the money he was paid for doing it?
  13. As much as it pains me to watch the Australians dominate a test match, there's more of me that loves watching this India side get absolutely thumped.
  14. Messi to Inter Miami is confirmed.. I'm amazed, and somewhat glad, he turned down earning more money in Saudi.
  15. I'm still baffled why the Belgian Grand Prix is the one constantly being floated as the one to drop. Zaandvort has far worse facilities, is a far worse track, and attracts the exact same fans as Spa. Plus Max is more Belgian than he is Dutch.
  16. I like the analogy that buying the players wasn't getting them anywhere, so LIV just bought the PGA executives instead and got what they wanted. In many ways it was inevitable, I just didn't see it happening with the PGA folding to LIV like this. Golf is now forever tainted.
  17. Heartbreaking news: Captain America: New World Order has had its title changed to Captain America: Brave New World. I guess nWo wasn't 4 life after all.
  18. Postecoglou has agreed to a 2 year contract as Spurs manager. Imagine if he actually stays for 2 seasons, what a novelty that would be.
  19. I think I can get on board with this. Just don't let Davison Sanchez get involved in the playing out from the back stuff.
  20. The trophies from Imola are being auctioned off to raise money to support the flood victims. This may be the only chance anyone outside of Red Bull gets to have a winner's trophy this year.
  21. If the Heat can win like that in Denver I think they've got the series locked down.
  22. Got Car Mechanic Simulator 2021 from GamePass. It's certainly a simulator, but lacks the charm of Power Wash and Lawn Mowing, going the more Cooking route of being exact to real life with not much else. For example, you can't change a brake pad until you've raised the car, removed the wheel and removed the brake caliper first. Still, it should pass some time, and I can still do some Power Washing.
  23. I'm sad for Leach, who's as nice a person as you'd expect, but quite honestly with the number of left-handers in the Aussie line-up, and the likelyhood of them trying to attack in the same way England do, he may be better off not playing. If they pick a spinner it has to be an off-spinner, but that only leaves Will Jacks and the retired Moeen Ali as options. Should have snapped up Simon Harmer in the brief time between him being eligible to play for England through residency before South Africa called him up.
  24. Not exactly an enthralling race, but at least there was quite a bit of overtaking. I feel sorry for Lando but I don't think the incident was anyone's fault, just a lack of room. George thinking it was raining because he had sweat in his visor was hilarious.
