  1. Yeah, I guess it's better to lose the Habs then some joke team like Philly or Washington. I still Maxim Lapierre develops herpes which he then spreads around the whole Montreal locker room, but it could've been worse. It could've been another Stanley Cup loss.
  2. Oh no question it was a shit hole, but it was OUR shit hole. The Mellon is a historic place and it's the place where whole generations of hockey fans in Pittsburgh grew to love the sport and the team. I myself have too many memories of that building to count. Sure the Powerhouse is going to be awesome, but a part of me still misses Three Rivers Stadium, so I'll always have a spot in my heart for the Igloo.
  3. and I really liked you too... Blame Chase. Any team he supports instantly becomes one I want to see lose all the time Wow. I'd say I'm flattered but honestly, if you care about me that much then you're pretty fucking pathetic.
  4. Wow. What can I say? Despite total domination at times, the Pens did not deserve to win this series. It's just a shame that the fucking Habs had to be the ones to end the Igloo's life. Ah well...we'll win it all again next year.

    Batman 3

I'd love to see Hugo Strange but I don't know if his ability to turn people into zombie-like minions would work in Nolan's universe.
  6. So were Canadiens fans setting themselves up for an excuse by booing every single time one of their players fell over? Get over it. The game was in Montreal. What did you expect? Do you want them to sit on their hands? Fans in every arena boo when their players get hit or tripped or anything and there is no call, even if the play is clean. It happens in Montreal and NEWSFLASH~!, it happens in Pittsburgh too. Not like that it doesn't. They were fucking bitching about EVERYTHING! A Pens player would come within a few feet of a Habs player, they'd boo. A Habs player would fall down ON HIS OWN and they'd boo like he was picked off from the Pens bench with a sniper rifle. It was fucking pathetic. Even the Pens radio broadcast noticed it. They couldn't believe it. They were nothing but respectful towards Habs fans but they had to admit that they were fucking insane tonight. It was a total joke. It was comical. It might happen elsewhere but not to the effect that it happened tonight. Every five seconds you would see those French douchebags standing up with their arms extended begging for a call. It was fucking pathetic. It sounds to me like you dislike the Montreal fan base because they are passionate. If they are bothering the Penguins players as much as they are bothering you and those radio broadcasters, then they are doing a good job. There's a big difference between being passionate and being whiney douchebags. Habs fans crossed that line a LONG time ago. I don't mind fans cheering their team. But the fans in Montreal insisted that every time one of their players hit the ice, was bumped, was skated by, etc. it deserved a penalty. It was fucking ridiculous. It was a joke. Fans all over the NHL can see it, Habs fans can't. And the way the team and the fans celebrated post-game it's almost like they think this series is already over. Hell, PK Subban was talking about winning the Stanley Cup. Montreal fans are a fucking joke. And this game proved it.

  8. So were Canadiens fans setting themselves up for an excuse by booing every single time one of their players fell over?
  9. They probably didn't want to deal with obnoxious Habs fans calling them on the phone and booing them.
  10. These Montreal fans are fucking awful. Huge jokes.
  11. Nice. I feel sorry for you having to live in Philly, but great to see more Pens fans on here.
  12. How did that happen? You being a Pens fan in Philly?
  13. That joke is a columnist from Montreal right? Even though that makes him an expert on whining, I'm taking that with a grain of salt. The media constantly tries to goad Crosby into saying something controversial, and he never bites. After the game he was asked about getting hit after the whistle and Crosby said "It's part of the game." Say what you want about Crosby but if he was on your team you'd love him. The jealousy of the majority of NHL fans when it comes to Crosby is staggering. Crosby gets hit more after the whistle than any hockey player in the NHL. As a captain, he's allowed to speak with officials. If a guy like Henrik Sedin, or Ovechkin, or Mike Richards barks at officials after getting hit late they're lauded for their "leadership" or their "gamesmanship" for trying to buy a penalty. Crosby does it and he's a whiner. It's fucking old.
  14. You mean when he tripped, fell to the ice, got hit while he was down, then got up and before he could do anything else was grabbed from behind by Gomez? Sid can't win. When he shows emotion on the ice, he's a baby. When he doesn't he's robotic.
  15. BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA As though, Cooke, one of the dirtiest players in the league right now has any right to call out another player about anything. As much as the Markov hit was clean, there's simply a video parade of him throwing knee on knee hits, blindside hits and him generally being a scumbag... Alright buddy, you keep picking on P.K. Subban.... Maybe Cooke's jealous that after only 6 NHL Games Subban already has more respect around the league than Cooke could ever hope for. To be fair, the rest of Cooke's quote is below...
  16. I'm just glad we weren't playing the 2009 Red Wings because if he had done that near Osgood, Elroy would've flopped onto the ice like he was actually hit. Unlike Washington, the Pens will make adjustments. Halak might be able to steal 2 games, he won't steal 4.
  17. Don't job Eaton too much. Dude's been great so far in the playoffs. As for Malkin, his parents are in town...he's gonna come on any minute now. Indeed, he always raises his level of play when his parents are around and they just arrived. Give him till the end of the series, if he doesn't have a "Malkin Game" by then, then we must consider if he's hurt.
  18. Was just going to post that. Perhaps the Rooneys knew more than they let on when they traded Santurdio for a 5th Round pick.
  19. That's our nickname dammit! We Pens fans came up with it. Give it back! Besides now that he plays in Canada, he can no longer be a member of the US Navy. I would not be shocked if the Habs took Game 1 tonight. I expect Halak to still be riding the wave of momentum from the previous series and the Pens came out slow in Game 1 against Ottawa. It would not surprise me if they do the same tonight.
  20. Whoops. Montreal doesn't have a chance against Pittsburgh. Though I'd love to completely agree with you because I'm a Pittsburgh fan, they do scare the shit out of me because the same thing was said about them against Washington and look how that turned out. I totally agree with you that the Habs are a scary opponent right now, but let's not compare our Pens to the Capitals. The Penguins actually play with some grit, they play defense, they aren't afraid to get physical with teams, and they will adapt and change their gameplan if things don't work right away. Not to mention that Evgeni Malkin's parents will be in town for this series. He's set to go off. I think the series will be close because Montreal is a hot team, but the Pens are built for the playoffs. Washington wasn't.
  21. As awesome (and hilarious) as it was seeing Washington go down in round one, I gotta say it is a bit unnerving to have to play the Halak-led Habs. He's been scary good lately and could easily steal a game or two in the Semis.
  22. Not according to the state of Georgia.
  23. Yeah Patrick Robinson is so overrated that he went 6 spots later than where I had him. I clearly have NO IDEA what the fuck I'm talking about, and those NFL personnel types think you're a genius for thinking he's so overrated. ----- LOVE the pick for the Steelers. I've been hoping they'd take Pouncey for a few months now and I'm real excited that we finally have our replacement for Jeff Hartings. I'm real surprised Jimmy Clausen is still on the board. I thought for sure someone would trade back into the 1st to get him. The thought of Jermaine Gresham in the AFC North scares me a little, I have confidence that Lawrence Timmons is big enough and fast enough to cover Gresham, but I worry that if we don't get our secondary straightened out Gresham will become a Steelers killer.
  24. Ben won't be traded, that's really a non-issue that ESPN keeps hyping to get more people to watch the draft. The Steelers like some WRs that will be available in later rounds. Ed Bouchette wrote an article saying that he doesn't expect the Steelers to take a WR early. The Steelers feel they can get good WRs later in the draft and I agree. A guy like Pouncey would be a great fit for the Steelers because he can play both Center and Guard (which Tomlin loves) and he would be an immediate upgrade over both starting guards and the starting center. You try not to take an interior O-Lineman that early unless you're confident he's a sure thing, and Pouncey is the closest to a sure thing the NFL has seen come along in quite a while.
  25. I'm sorry. I didn't realize I was talking to an NFL GM. The Steelers aren't taking a WR in Round One. Especially not with Pouncey and Iupati still on the board.
