  1. Does anyone here have an Eevee they would be willing to trade/breed and trade over? Want to get started on my Eeveelution raising at the moment.
  2. i probably wont be available until later today again. For some reason the internet in the hotel room Im at during the day wont allow me to connect my DS, despite theire being a million different SSIDs, all with the same name but different signal strengths. If nobody else can help you out with the Boldore thing you could send it over when I give you the Solosis and Rufflet. Same goes for the Karrablast. Need the Dex data for its evolved form, and I can always breed it again later once Im ready to raise it proper.
  3. Yeah, I just used my Masterball on Thunderus. I remember what a bitch Mesprit was in D/P, and didnt want to go through that again Oh yeah. If anyone comes across a Careful natured Ditto and/or a Contrary ability Snivy somehow, I'd be willing to trade for them.
  4. Im going to take such good care of Unfezant. I'll be sure to battle it often, let it lose so I can demean it later, and then release it when I've grown tired of it. Thanks for the Dex data, though. If you ever want anything else you can send me a message and I'll see if I can be of any help. Or if you might happen to have anything worth trading for a Lugia, that would work too LNK, whenever you see this, would you want to do a quick Reshiram/Zekrom trade-trade back so we could both get the Dex data for the opposite versions legendary?
  5. Im in the middle room in the Pokemon Center now, if you're still around.
  6. That would be good. Like i said, I may only use it for Dex data, but once I finish my moveset list for all the other pokemon in the Unova region (Im around Eelektross, give or take a few evolutionary lines) I may go back to the monkeys and see whether I can use them for SOME online battles or if theyre just things Id never use. Either one would be fine though. Speaking of online battles, I did my first Random Rotation battle the other day. I LOVE rotation battles compared to normal triple battles, since it seems like you need to be more strategic and it is fun guessing correctly what your opponent may do and screwing them over (Oh, you notice my Volcarona is out? I assume youre going to switch to your Samurott so allow me to rotate my Zebstrika over and Thunder it for you). Still want to try that Launcher battle out since it too sounds interesting and needs some strategy. Gaining Launcher points with every turn that allows you to buy some items along the way could be pretty nice. Has anyone tried the Dream World out as well? I gave it a quick whirl last night and was lucky enough to get a Shinx ( ) with the hidden ability. I cant wait until I can find some Unova pokemon in there though.
  7. Blaze that should work. For me it is 10:45 AM right now, so i should be available around 4ish-6 or 7 my time. You only wanted the Zorua correct? The Unfezant would be a nice trade too since Ive yet to actually capture one yet despite having a level 23 Tranquill that I use as an HM whore . I actually planned on using an Unfezant at some point, but then I saw Braviary and decided that with that and Staraptor and Pidgeot, Unfezant shall not be getting any attention from me. I added your Friend Code to my Pal Pad already. Not sure if you have sigs turned on but mine is 3654 0518 8514 Just to get it right, Blaze wants a Zorua, Ace wants a Zorua, and LNK would like Solosis/Rufflet, correct? Unless you also want Petilil and Throh, LNK. I dont think Throh is REALLY exclusive, but there is only like a 5% chance of encountering one in few areas in Black, same with Sawk for White I believe.
  8. I still prefer the original 151 over any other generation, probably for nostalgia and whatnot, but Gen V has some really nice pokemon and dual typed ones at that. Once you start playing it you start to remember what pokemon are what and their names and their types and everything. Plus you can always use those three still if you trade for them or can catch them at some point after beating the main story or in the Dream World. All the natures and abilities and EVs and everything arent necesarily anything you need to worry about if it isnt your cup of tea. I personally look forward to being able to EV train all the Unova region pokemon that I want to try and focus their stats on what I need based on their moveset/weaknesses, but you could just play the game without worrying about what the numbers once you level up mean. Plus the graphics overall and in certain towns/areas are amazing.
  9. If anything I only need Pansear and Pansage for Dex data. May try EV training them into something useful though. Speaking of training, I thought the GTS Negotiations thing would be really stupid, just because you could only search by level and the 'type' of pokemon you want/had to offer (cool, strange, etc), but it is a lot better than the normal GTS since it is basically like trading with a friend in that you can trade anything for anything from your party or boxes. Now only to get 50 trades with 50 different people to get another Master Ball
  10. Just let me know when would work best for you. Im running on Eastern time, and during the remainder of this week I SHOULD be available during the afternoons and definitely around 5ish Eastern. This weekend I should be more available though. And those monkeys. I remember when I first saw them on Bulbapedia I was like, "oh that is pretty cool." After having seen them so much from trainers in the game I now do not want them anymore >_<
  11. I dont really need anything major in return for those, since I can just breed them rather easily like crazy, so if all you can send over is a lillipup or a *shudders* woobat, it won't bother me. I should be available for a couple hours starting now, then tomorrow afternoon again. So if either of you are available now/soonish just let me know and I can hop on. And thank fuck for the Dream World coming tomorrow. I desperately want some of the hidden abilities from there. EDIT - LNK, I could breed a Rufflet and a Solosis for you if you want. I already have the Black exclusives so I dont really need anything worthwhile in return. And the Global Link site is actually up now, for me anyways. Just sent a Tepig to the Dream World to see how it is.
  12. Anybody looking for a Cryoganol, Druddigon, or Zorua/Zoroark? I have a few Cryos, two Druddigons, and a few Zoruas/one Zoroark that Im willing to give away for 'free'. Plus a Lugia, Blastoise, and Altaria if anybody wants to trade something worthwhile for any of them. EDIT: I have white in case anyone playing Black needs any exclusives.
  13. So I completed the main story of the game. Loved the final 'chapter' of it, from the first Elite Four battle onwards. The cut scenes that were used for these parts were amazing. It's stunning to see how much they've improved the graphics, even in normal gameplay, compared to even Gen IV. Now that I have the main story out of the way and have caught all the Seven Sages around Unova, captured all the legendaries able to be captured solely on White (excluding Landorus), grabbed pretty much every item laying around the region, more or less caught every non-legendary pokemon available in white (just need to evolve them for Dex data), and bought every TM available in the pokecenters, I can now focus on leveling my main party of six up to level 75-80 so I can sweep through the Elite Four and Champion, so that I can then attempt to re-raise certain pokemon and EV train and hatch eggs and all that super fun stuff. My friend code has changed as well, since I've gotten the DSi XL. My new friend code is 3654 0518 8514.
  14. As someone who got out of the Pokemon phase after the original Gold and Silver came out do to outgrowing it, I would say if you were to get back into the games at any point, Black and White would be the perfect time. With the additions already there from Gen IV, like the updated graphics and whatnot, plus the amazingly beautiful graphics at certain points in the game and the addition of some great looking pokemon/pokemon dual types, among other things, Black and White are the first games since Ive gotten back into pokemon that I actually wanted to get myself and on its own merits. Pearl I got because my friend had and it seemed really nice with the updated graphics, Heartgold I only got because I liked Diamond and it was a remake of a nostalgic game for me, but White I was the first to get from my group of friends (which usually doesnt happen) because it looks so good. For some reason, despite the formula for pokemon games being so simplistic and repetitive, the games are addicting and just good, especially if you get games to do more than just beat the game/complete the story. There are a lot of things from my childhood that I loved years ago but look at now and wonder what I was thinking, but Pokemon is something that has lasted for me. As far as which version to get, Id say it just depends on whether you have a preference over legendaries (White Version gets a dragon/electric while Black gets dragon/fire), or whether you would prefer the more trainer based Black City over the more wild pokemon based White Forest (where you can get a lot of good non-Gen V pokemon).
  15. Ended up getting White version with a DSi today. Ive already beaten the first gym and am taking a break so that I dont overplay it, but I am really liking it thus far. Diamond I got because of the major graphics overhaul compared to the Gen 1 and 2 games, Heartgold I got since it was a remake from when I originally played the games, but White I got just because the game itself seems so good in terms of the pokemon in the game and the plot. I decided to go with Snivy as my starter, though I may end up not even using it after I complete the game and begin going around to work on leveling up and training the pokemon I want properly for competitive battle, since it seems like I can get pretty nice fire and water types later down the road. I was rather disappointed that before I even went into the first gym, I was GIVEN a panpour from that person near that Dream area; made the first gym seem too easy, but at the same time I was glad to get one of the elemental monkeys since I can now see whether or not theyd be worth using later on after I beat the game. Right now I have a Snivy at level 14, Panpour at 11, Patrat and Lillipup at 9, and a Munna at 10. Probably will try to use Patrat as my HM slave rather than as an actual battler, but it all depends on what pokemon I find along the way. One thing Ill never forget that I dislike is trying to level up my party equally. I keep wanting to focus on Snivy, but know I need to train the others up as well. Even though Im not far into the game, my friend code is 0647 5525 4739
  16. After taking a lok at some of the pokemon in the games, Im incredibly tempted to get the game and incredibly disappointed that I sold my DS several months ago. Though there are some pokemon that look stupid or seem like bad homages to Gen 1 or 2 pokemon, there seems to be a lot of excellent looking ones. Makes me want to go and play older games at home now >_< If I wanted to use wifi with the games, what sort of DS would I need? Im not sure whether my wireless has WEP or WPA or whatever, but is there a DS that will allow you to connect using either encryption or do they only allow one or the other?
  17. Going into the episode this week I thought it was the season finale. Even though I enjoyed the episode, I was disappointed that that was going to be the finale; thankfully that isnt the case as the show will return sometime in April. That said, I liked the way they had a few of the kids show off original songs during the episode. Trouty Mouth should have been a contender . I was a bit upset that they didnt continue off from the amazing Brittany/Santana scene from last week (really, one of the best scenes from Glee period), but I couldnt really expect it since this week was all about original songs and Regionals. I WAS very happy that they finally pulled the trigger on Blaine and Kurt. Im glad they did the bit of slow build for it, as it made the scene where they kiss matter more, especially with Blaine talking about having a moment of realization when Kurt was singing Blackbird. That said, I can't say I enjoy the two singing a duet together. I dont think their voices gel that well when they are both singing at the same time. It might be Kurt's higher voice that does it, but I think they do tons better when they sing seperately. I was a bit iffy about the original song idea as the episode went on, especially when The Warblers did Raise Your Glass since it was a nice upbeat song, but I enjoyed Get It Right from Rachel, and I LOVED Loser Like Me, which had that upbeat tempo that I prefer to hear in songs from the show. I would have had New Directions win based solely on Loser Like Me. I was hoping the song would get someone else to sing lead, or at least have the song be a bit like Dont Stop Believing from last season where everyone got a part to sing. Especially after Rachel just had her own solo, I wanted to hear the other characters get a chance to sing. What Kurt said about Blaine and The Warblers is true with Rachel and Finn for New Directions. They get all the attention while there are other people in the glee club that have amazing singing talents. I can understand they are the proposed leaders of the club, but still. Puck has a better singing voice than Finn, Brittany and Santana have proven they can sing very well... The song was still fantastic, but having Rachel and/or Finn be the lead for every 'big' song while having the rest of the group just sing in the glee club room at school isn't how I want things to continue. If we get a glimpse at Nationals this season, or even if they wait until next season, I would like to see a more serious take on the competition than what they do with Regionals. It is good fun, but I want to see more songs from rival glee clubs with a serious take on everything rather than something over the top every time. Though seeing Sue punch the Mayor's wife was great. Oh, and a bit of a potential spoiler for Season 3:
  18. Community continues to be a great show. I loved the bit at the beginning where the study group actually doing some sort of studying was something they dreaded. Oh, and Jo returns to tv
  19. I dont know if this was the best episode of the season, but I enjoyed it. The addition of Lauren has grown on me and I am actually liking her addition to the Glee club. Im not sure if she should be singing any solos, but her one from the other week wasn't bad once she got into it. I was actually surprised at Coach Beiste's singing with Will. I REALLY enjoyed their little duet, same with Blaine and Rachel. I'm really looking forward to seeing what original song they come up with; though I'm hoping it'll be a bit more upbeat than the one Rachel sang at the beginning of the episode. Of course what made the episode was Brittany
  20. Surprisingly I ended up buying the game with that 29.99 for 3 months deal they have going on. Ended up trying it out on my friends laptop last week and enjoyed what I had played. The creation options in the game are miles better than that of City of Heroes and Champions. There are a good amount of options, but there arent too much where it feels like a chore to create someone. The graphics for the people you create are also a hell of a lot better. Champions was way too cartoony. In DC they actually look like the other characters in the game. Right now I am at level 10 for my main hero. Even though the missions all seem pretty samey, I think the fact that the power trees and the way you can battle being more than just "okay just press X over and over again" makes it a lot better than what it could have been. The combos you can get for the weapons, the way some power animations actually tie into which weapon you choose, and some of the powers make it more interesting. I think the stuff like raids and duos and whatnot will also allow for more playability, and also turning PVP on once I reach level 30. The fact that there are actualy comic book heroes and villains in the game helps too, since it feels a lot better playing alongside Superman and fighting against Poison Ivy than having to fight against villains that were made up just for a game like in Champions. Anyone who plays this on the PC who also plays on the New Frontier or Darkness Falls server?
  21. I'll be honest, I'm not as excited about the show as I was for the first season. Not to say I don't enjoy it, or at least enjoy parts of it. I'd say I can enjoy certain scenes in an episode while not really caring for others/finding others to be stupid (the whole girls playing football thing). The rarity of there being an episode that I flat out love is rather high, and I really only care about seeing what songs they cover (the mash ups they've done thus far I have loved for the most part). Last nights episode... I dont know. I like that they had the football team and Glee club team up briefly, only for it to not matter in favor of high school status quo and drama, but it wasn't some great return episode for me. The high point of the entire episode was, A) Sue throwing the tantrum in the principals office set to that lovely piece of music (name escapes me), and for her to just randomly barge into the locker room and thrown another tantrum to the same music; and B) Sue telling Brittany about the baby cannons. The high production values they use for performances for nobody also gets to me, just as much as people randomly starting to sing in public with everyone around them acting like they aren't. It is a show that I dont particularly find as good as I did in the first season, but it is also a show I can sit down and watch and never really be bored by it or find any one episode overly bad for the most part.
  22. My friend was showing the Beta off one time, and i honestly got bored of looking at it after the first few minutes. I find it hard to actually get into these kinds of games. Champions Online had the uber customization, and this game has actual super heroes to play alongside. I see it being just like Champions Online in that it is fun for a bit, but easily something to get bored of. My opinion could change if I actually play it, but Im not going to be buying it any time soon to get a hands on opinion.
  23. Most Played Probably Halo Reach. My friends were extremely into Halo, and at the beginning of the year I didnt particularly care nor hate the franchise. I just didn't prefer it. After reading the books I got more into the whole universe, and ended up loving Reach. I enjoyed the story since I already read the book, so it was nice seeing the images put into something I could actually see. There are some flaws or things that annoy me when playing online, but I can still enjoy the game and probably will for a good while. Yeah, this impressed me Red Dead Redemption, Limbo, and War for Cybertron. At first, I thought RDR would be a typical Rockstar game that is just GTA set in an earlier time period. I was way off. Not only was the gameplay extremely fun, but the story was flat out amazing. War for Cybertron I didnt really have high hope for considering the other games, but thankfully this one wasn't just a movie turned into a game. The online was fun while it lasted. Limbo was just a flat out great game visually. It was fun solving little puzzles and the way the whole game looked amazed me. Most disappointed with... SD 2011, Limbo, and RDR. With RDR, the only disappointment I have is the fact that multiplayer was incredible repetitive and got very old very fast. With Limbo, I was disappointed that the game cost so much yet was so short. After I finished it I thought to myself that I should have waited until it dropped in price to get it as, while it was good, I didnt feel it was worth the amount they put it up for. SD 2011 I had high hopes for, especially after not having played a wrestling game since the original SD vs RAW. All the new features sounded great, and they were great when actually playing with them. But after a while I felt that old 'Smackdown game' feeling and just lost interest. The RTWM mode is a huge improvement over the old season modes, and Universe Mode is a good starting point, but the gameplay was too repetitive (not in a good way) and the fact that the online mode, well, sucked as far as connections and finding a good match goes... Hopefully at some point there will be a SD game where the online works perfectly, as that would be something that would keep my attention, or more detail added to the Universe mode. Better than expected Halo Reach and AC Brotherhood. Having only played Halo 3 with my friends rarely, I didnt really think I would get that into Reach, even after reading the books. But when my friends got it and we had a little Reach party, I was more or less hooked on it. AC Brotherhood is surprising. Having not played an AC game before and expecting it to be overly repetitive and to get old quickly, I find the story mode to be very interesting, the game play to be repetitive but very fun, and the online multiplayer is fantastic, outside of how long it can take to find a match. The only other complaint I would have with the game is that sometimes the movement/actions dont synch up with what I am trying to do, but other than that the gameplay is wonderful.
  24. From someone who has never played an AC game before, the online mode is a breathe of fresh air from the FPS games I have done online, and the way they took the premise of the entire game and utilized it in a multiplayer fashion was done quite well. It is extremely fun trying to go after a certain target without knowing which one is the real one, and using the different abilities the game gives you. The only thing I would fault the game on as far as online goes is how long it can take to find a match, and for a match to actually start once you get enough people. Once you get into a game, though, it can be quite fun and worth it.
  25. I didnt really hate the finale, but at the same time Im not gushing with love over it. I did love the scene with Deb and Dexter at the camp, like Zero said I think it was one of the most intense scenes in the series (that I can remember anyway). I would have liked to see Deb find out about Dexter's secret, but Im not upset that she didnt. There is always hope that they may do it next season (hopefully before the finale if they were to do it; give them episodes to toy with the outcome). Lumen not dying was good. I was actually waiting for Lumen to somehow die when they were on the boat. Thankfully I was wrong. Her leaving I think makes sense and could be good. If she died, no more Lumen. At least now with her just leaving there is always the chance of her returning for some reason. Her 'dark passenger' being gone makes sense now that the people responsible for what happened to her are gone as well, I think. Her dark passenger was basically fueled on those people, so with them gone there is really nothing to fuel it. If she does return I could see them making it so that she ends up wanting to kill all bad people like Dexter, thinking more about all the other criminals out there rather than just the people that harmed her, as a way to get her dark passenger back. Not a bad finale, but not a great one. I enjoyed it, and I dont mind the season ending on something that isn't a cliffhanger like last season. Cant wait until the show comes back to see what they do.
