    Lil Wayne fans?

I love Lil Wayne but do feel that he's terribly over-rated in the rap game. He's good, but it gets annoying having every 14 year old girl going around screaming his lyrics. But in his defense, I've had A Mili stuck in my head for a hot minute.
  2. So my friends got tickets to Warped Tour and need somebody to drive. They told me they'd cover my ticket if I'd drive and they'd pay some gas. I thought "Meh, that's cool I guess, I get to see Say Anything and Gym Class Heroes" and then I find out that fucking The Gaslight Anthem is playing. FUCK YEAH
  3. I sing and play guitar. I have two acoustics (Takamine G Series being my newest. I lurve it) and an electric. I used to want to just do electric in a band, but then I switched my musical tastes up a bit to more Indie stuff with acoustics and I fell in love with the acoustic guitar. John Mayer Jeff Buckley Conor Oberst Those are the kind of inspirations that I have. I'm strictly a Singer-Songwriter with just me and an acoustic, so while I do have a few bands that inspire me (The Smiths, The Cure, Bright Eyes, Radiohead) it's more of the songwriters aspect of music that inspires me.
  4. So I'm going to try and see John Mayer this summer but can't decide whether or not I want to go to the Charlotte show (with Paramore) or Raleigh (with OneRepublic). I don't like either of the bands, so hopefully people who have experience with both can help me a bit. I'm leaning more towards Paramore if only for Hailey Williams.
  5. So the new Coldplay album leaked, and it's easily their best album yet. I can't find a bad track on the entire album. 42 is probably my favorite, but like I said every single track is good.
  6. Neutral Milk Hotel. I know Jeff Mangum was involved with other things, but I want another NMH record. John Frusciante needs another solo album. Ben Folds Five needs another album. I know Ben Folds is doing his own thing, but I want one more Ben Folds Five album. They were just a great band.
  7. And I have yet another youtube video of my performance from our local festival. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JJl6ZFhOE10
  8. Yay for another original song. It's only up on youtube right now from a "festival" I played in my town, but it'll be recorded soon hopefully.
  9. I feel like they've gone downhill. I thought De-Loused was their best effort and that Bedlam is the better of their past few albums. But De-Loused is easily my favorite Mars Volta album by far. With ESP and Roulette Dares being my 2 favorite songs from their catalog. But yeah, they do have some catchy songs but I feel like they just got to the point where it was "Hey look at how experimental we are, we have a 40 MINUTE JAM ON OUR LIVE ALBUM!"
  10. As long as we get more solo Frusciante stuff (I'd kill for a North American Tour) then I'm completely fine. I love Frusciante's solo work. Especially 'Shadows Collide With The People'
  11. I've been listening to a LOT of Ray LaMontagne lately. I had Till The Sun Turns Black but never had Trouble. Just picked up Trouble and I've listened to it 3 times today. I fucking love it.
  12. I wasn't a bit fan of Yorke's solo album, but I love Radiohead. However, the album does some good songs on it. Just nothing that stands out so big to me. I particularly like The Clock and Harrowdown Hill.
  13. Neutral Milk Hotel. I only started listening to them a few months ago, and DAMN are they a great band. Jason Mraz is another one. I didn't hear him until his first major label debut which I picked up, then thought nothing of him again until about 4 months ago when I heard he'd have a new one coming out so I listened to more of his stuff and found he's actually very good. Muse. I didn't start until right when Black Holes and Revelations came out and now Absolution is one of my favorite albums of all time. Theres a lot more that I simply can't think of right now too, but theres quite a few of these bands that I've grown to love a WHILE after they came out. edit: shit I can't believe i forgot about Bright Eyes. I didn't hear them until Cassadega and since then I've gotten every album after LIFTED and they're my 2nd favorite band (behind Radiohead)
  14. Talk Show Host by Radiohead I saw them live on Friday and I forgot how much I LOVED this song. Plus, live it is phenomenal. Actually all in all it was the best show I've ever seen visual and audio wise.
  15. I dislike "Talking Bird" the most, but I find all of the other ones to be absolutely amazing. I'd rank it as: 1. Long Division 2. Bixby Canyon Bridge 3. The Ice Is Getting Thinner 4. Cath 5. No Sunlight 6. Pity and Fear 7. Your New Twin Sized Bed 8. Grapevine Fires 9. I Will Possess Your Heart 10. You Can Do Better Than Me 11. Talking Bird It's an all-around GREAT album. Probably my favorite this year.
  16. Spoiler: Click here to viewHOLY SHIT! I'm so pumped up for this movie. Especially if that is how Two-Face is going to look
  17. I guess you could call "When The President Talks To God" by Bright Eyes a protest song. It's talking about the wrongs that Bush has done.
  18. 'Narrow Stairs' by Death Cab For Cutie Great album. I've listened to it 3 times in the past day and I feel like I'm going to do so for a while.
  19. It didn't take much thinking and now I have it downloaded. I'm only on the 3rd track so the only new song I've heard is Bixby Canyon but I like it. Transatlanticism definitely was a "grower" for me. When I first heard it I thought Plans was miles better, but now I've grown to like Transatlantacism a lot more than Plans. But from what I've heard of Narrow Stairs it's great.
  20. I love when the pedestrians link onto the car, I was attempting to knock him into another car passing by but he ended up hanging on and flying back under my car only to be run over. It was fucking awesome.
  21. So yeah, Coldplay released their new song this week over their website from Viva La Vida, it's called "Violet Hill". I like it A LOT. It's a lot different from Coldplay's other stuff that they've done and it's really got me pumped up for the new album. And so I'm assuming everyone here who has heard the Death Cab album is agreeing with reviewers? I've heard it's a GREAT album but I'm still very tempted to wait until it comes into stores to get it. But it's really hard to fight the temptation of just getting a download right now.
  22. I just had the explosion at the gas tank happen to me. God damn it was awesome. In general car explosions are awesome in this game too. I was doing a police most wanted mission after stealing a cop car and shot the car enough to see the guy jump out of his car on fire and try to run away but got killed by the explosion. It's happened before but this time I just sat and watched, it's all so great. That and seeing cops civilians through the streets with their guns out and the other guy begins to run away only to be shot at by the cops.
  23. A fucking greed. I've moved on to doing other peoples missions because I can't be bothered trying to attempt it again. I'll get to the escape and be completely bombarded. Even with body armor.
  24. Not so much of a moment in the game that made this happen more of dumb luck but here it is, I thought it was fucking awesome. Spoiler: Click here to view When Niko and Roman are pulling up at the new house in Bohan (?) they were talking about "starting all over again" and the intro to '1979' started playing on the radio. It seemed like it was just out of a movie. I loved it
