    Funeral Song

Definitely 'Hallelujah' by Jeff Buckley 'The Scientist' by Coldplay For some reason 'Invincible' by Muse might be a decent one. I'd just not want any hymns being played.
  3. Radiohead | Sigur Ros | Red Hot Chili Peppers | Tool The Shins | Bright Eyes | The Decemberists | Ray LaMontagne | Muse | Sufjan Stevens Damien Rice | Arctic Monkeys | Arcade Fire | The Manchester Orchestra Tent Joshua Radin | The Dears | Cary Brothers | Idlewild | Panda Bear
  4. Ok, I got my box today so I can send off my 360 and I remember them saying something about my reference number. Something about taping 2 copies of it to the console. Can somebody tell me what to do with that?
  5. I remember I've had some great games on Smackdown! games, NCAA Football games, Halo, and the like. Smackdown! I remember prominently on Here Comes The Pain it was Kurt Angle (Me) vs. Chris Benoit (my friend) in an ultimate submission match. It started with me beating the hell out of him and going up 3-0 early on. He came back shortly after somehow and started beating the shit out of me. He ended up tying it up with 5 minutes left and it became both of us trying to get the other one into a finisher so they'd hopefully tap. I ended up locking in the Ankle Lock with 30 seconds left and won 4-3. One of my favorite matches ever. NCAA football I remember a UNC vs. Virginia game the first day that I bought it. I wasn't the best because it was the first NCAA game I had bought before (It was 06 I believe) and I was playing against Virginia who was #22 or 23 in the dynasty. I was down by 21 at the end of the first half but I ended up tying it up and then taking the lead by a field goal near the end of the second half. Virginia makes a 40 yard field goal to send it into over time and they get the ball first. They get a bomb thrown into the endzone and I somehow pick it off with my CB and get the ball. I missed a 30 yard field goal to send it into 2OT. I stopped them from getting into the endzone then I finally hit the field goal to win it in Double OT. I never had a game better than that in 06.
  6. My XBOX red-ringed today Hopefully I'll get it back in time for GTA IV to come out because I've pre-ordered it already. I can see it just sitting on my tv waiting for my XBOX to come back. How long has it generally taken for everybody here who had their XBOX shipped off to get it back? I was guessing around a month.
  7. I absolutely love the new Death Cab song. It seems like Narrow Stairs is going to be their best album yet if its all like "Possess" is. I didn't think a Death Cab song of that length would work as well as it does, but damn if I was wrong.
  8. http://www.myspace.com/grantgoldenmusic Right now it's just songs I played at an Open Mic Night over the weekend, but this weekend I should be recording my originals with the help of a friend. It won't be the best quality, but it'll be better than nothing.
  9. My eyes are magical. I hear with my eyes. See with my nose. Smell with my ears.
  10. I think Patrick Stump used to be a phenomenal vocalist but I've noticed in my eyes his vocal abilities (or at least what he showcases) have declined since the "Take This To Your Grave" days. However, I think this cover is great. I absolutely hated the latest album, but I love this cover. Plus it has John Mayer in it
  11. Surfjan Stevens- Come On Feel The Illinoise I'd never really listened to Surfjan much, but I immediately regret that. I love this album.
  12. I don't see how anybody could legitimately argue the point that Slash is a better guitarist than Buckethead is. Slash is arguably one of the most over rated guitar players in the world in my book. I'm not saying that he isn't a good guitarist but I can name at least 10 off the top of my head that are miles better than he is at every aspect of playing guitar, and Buckethead is definitely one of them. Buckethead is more than the simple gimmick that some people see him as, Buckethead is an innovative, and phenomenal guitarist. Slash, however, is simply one of those generic rock guitarists for me that only stands out because of the fame he achieved in Guns N' Roses.

    Sigur Ros

I just got into the band and I'm looking for which album is the best in your eyes. I have Hauf/Heim or whatever last years album was called and am aware that it's primarily unreleased stuff and now I want to hear more of Sigur Ros. So which albums would you guys recommend checking out?
  14. All it took was a "power cycle" according to XBL But I'm up and running again now.
  15. Ok, so every time I try to play Halo online I get an NAT message saying I have a poor connection. Apparently that has something to do with a router that doesn't work well with XBL or something like that. Essentially it's a router problem. But I've had XBL over a year now and this is the first time it's done that and every time I just ignore it, I get terrible terrible lag. What do I do?
  16. I just bought a one month to keep me online until I hopefully get a job and can afford another 12 month. So for this month I'll be online to play Halo, Gears, and Guitar Hero II and III. If I get lucky I might be able to play Rockband too, depending on if my friend comes into town.

    Gigs for 2008

Pardon the bump but I got my first gig of 2008. Fucking Radiohead! I'm possibly going to see R.E.M/Modest Mouse too which would be a fucking awesome show. Then I have a possibly Say Anything/Manchester Orchestra. 2008 is looking like a great year for concerts.

    Muse...

I never knew that Muse covered that song, but it's one of my favorite Smiths songs. After listening to it I completely agree. I own Absolution and Black Holes, on both albums there isn't a single track that I don't love. Muse is an all around great band.
  19. We get to my friends house and saw that as the main headline and we all just let out a what the fuck. We were talking about Dark Knight on the way to his house then we got home and saw Ledger died. This is truly a shame, R.I.P Heath Ledger.
  20. I love Juno being nominated. But even more I love "Falling Slowly" for best original song. I love that song with a passion.
  21. Simple, what is your favorite instrumental song? Personally I love 'Ocean' by John Butler Trio. That or 'Airtap!' by Erik Mongraine.
  22. Starship is never invited Starship was mediocre at best, Jefferson Airplane was were it was at.
