  1. If Owen plays again i imagine he would be a strong candidate for the armband too since his is vice captain at the moment, although i would prefer to see it go elsewhere. Though i guess his injury means he may miss the boat so to speak.
  2. I remember watching i think it was Luke Young from Charlton and he seemed solid enough. Also i hope Neville has a one more big tournament in him.
  3. Your captain can be in midfield and you'll still need someone to lead the defensive line. Similarly you still need some to lead the attack and midfield if the captain is in defence. I don't think the position you play should really be an issue in choosing the captain.
  4. Leonardo for some odd reason i'm liking and i've always been a fan of Alan Hansen. Generally i prefer the BBC coverage anyway. Ian Wright is a good balance to the analysis i think.
  5. I'm don't think Ferdinand would have any trouble getting a performance for his players if he was captain and i seen Terry give his own fair share of below performances too particularly at this World Cup. And i think Ferdinand has cut of most of the mistake he use to make from when he was younger.
  6. I still think Ferdinand should be considered before Terry. He more experienced in the shirt and has in general been a very solid defender for England. He also shows the passion and shouting that a captain needs. Don't let his more casual play fool you.
  7. I've been impressed with Germany and frankly if anyone deserves to win it they do.
  8. While i believe Terry is the right type of player to be captain it seems to me he is a little inexperienced for the job. Perhaps Ferdinand should be considered before him in my eyes. Also isn't it going to be a little weird for Beckham to go from giving the orders to taking them. In a way it's a kind of demotion and in some ways is a insult that he would refuse to be captain anymore. Perhaps there's some sort of politics behind this?
  9. Without reading though, my general thoughts on yesterdays game as somewhat mixed. I think first off that Hargreaves was our best player and proved he more than deserves to wear the Three Lions. He was running for start to end and while excellent defensively, he also offered a good threat going forward to and kept the ball well. The Bayern Munich presidents appears to be right, the fans that booed Hargreaves were ignorant. Crouch also worked so hard when he came on and Ferdinand was an absolute rock at the back and it seems he only plays his best in the big games. Gerrard and Lampard once again proved they either can't play together or just can't perform on the world stage, i hope it's the former. Rooney was an idiot, while it seems he was sent off for the shitty push and the stamp i think was accidental Rooney must know that he has to keep his temper in these situation, whichever way you want to paint it Rooney's inability to control his temper has cost us dear. I just hope he learns from this. I could say i think the referee was bollocks and i want to see Ronaldo beaten the shit out of but all the angers but we can't control those elements. Sadly we've be cheated again in my eyes but we Rooney didn't help out course. But with Eriksson out and McLaren in lets lick our wounds and build for Euro 2008!
  10. http://home.skysports.com/worldcup/article...down+as+captain Well although i'm glad it is a surprise. Neville for captain then now? He seemed to do a good job yesterday.
  11. I'm loving Fallout Boy at the moment and in particular "Dance, Dance" and Sixteen Candles.
  12. X, The storyline and characters are great and the battle system if the best i've seen. and it's the one final fantasy where leveling up can be made somewhat fun thanks to the sphere grid. EDIT: 6 was also ported to PS1 i believe.
  13. Cantona wore the 7 shirt and yeh Carlos was the number 6, typo.
  14. The lack of love for Bon Jovi hurts. But to back up a former poster, Green Day and Bon Jovi took their genres into the mainstream and allowed others to follow suit. Also what makes someone a "real" punk fan and are they better than a "fake" punk fan? Remember it's to do with important and that doesn't make way for taste. On a side note all the bands you seem to hate i love............
  15. Well i always found Seymour the "hardest" non bonus boss due to the time when you meet him and that one bad ass attack he has that i can't remember now, he also banish you're aeons which is the first boss to do that i think? Also i've heard Penance is near to impossible although i have no fought him so i'd be interested to hear from anyone who has defeated him on that.
  16. SPOILERS......... can't do those boxes! The fight with Seymour on top of Mt Gagezet is perhaps the hardest i think.
  17. I thought it was pretty self explanitory...she wanted to compress the past, present, and future to rule them as one existance. It was pretty stupid, as it was explained that only she was the only one who could physically exist in that kind of place. She should have taken notes from Kefka...ruling the world isn't fun unless you've got people to torture and opress for your enjoyment Zero had the right idea, VI was the best in the series followed by VII and then IX (which I personally loved to bits)
  18. Bon Jovi - Livin' On A Prayer Green Day - Wake Me Up When September Ends Lionel Ritchie - Dancing On The Ceiling Linkin Park - Numb Nickelback - Rockstar
  19. I usually call the main character after myself as i like to emerse myself as much as possible in the game, the other characters use to be named after friends but i find it a better expreince to leave them named as they are. I'll never forget naming Cait Sith after one of my friends and then getting pissed at him, good memorys.
  20. Why was Ultimiceia even doing what she was doing? I totally forget, was it ever explained?
  21. SPOILERS............. I kinda hate the ending to VIII and prefer the begining by far. I enjoy chasing Edea but as soon as Ultimica comes into it it becomes a bit silly, time compression e.t.c and she seems to have no real reason for doing it. She's the least developed character and yet the main baddy which makes little sense to me. And having just played VII again it's a great story but it's hard to get you head around everything in the story and some things can still leave you baffled at the end. X on the other hand for me has the best characters development and storyline throughout with a great sad ending too. And a great battle system.
  22. There's nothing with Walcott being in the squad and that isn't my problem. My problem is having him in instead of either Bent Or Defoe, he should be there alongside 4 other fit and ready strikers. Ideally i'l like to see: Owen, Bent, DeFoe, Walcott, Crouch.
  23. To sum up the striker situation: "2 injuries, 1 17 year old and a Peter Crouch". That should scare the world, it really should,
  24. Switching gears a little but i'd really like to see Carrick play in the centre alongside either Gerrard or Lampard because i believe he has the talent needed to replace either and let the other play their actual best game. I'm a huge Carrick fan.
